started playing ghost of tsushima. excellent game but it’s easily the most violent dress-up sim I’ve ever played

after the prologue/tutorial ended i SPRINTED to the kitchen to find him. i found cabrizzio and dishy first tho lmao, even my bf tried to think about what he could be based on his character design 👀

i finished gotsu over the weekend! here are some notes (spoilers ofc!)

• had to play through taka's death obvs, i sobbed when i looked closer on the grave and saw his headband and hammer

• losing nobu after taka was just extra painful, i also felt sad for that thin brown horse i got after bc jin wouldn't talk to him as he did with nobu 😭 i got a dapple horse in jogaku, but ig i should've stayed with that horse i got after nobu, he still did his best 🥹

• i embraced the ghost in the late game, feeling guilty everytime i did the ghost stance but knew it was what jin would do to save his people

• fighting khotun khan on his ship with the mongols swarming me simultaneously was challenging lol but i didn't die [wahoo]

• i spared unc bc it's what i believed in since knowing about the ending (honestly thought about that white ghost armor dye... i'll get it in ng+ hehe)

• still cried when the credits rolled, i would've been catatonic if i got the chance to play this game completely blind (bf said he just stared at the screen for 15 minutes and didn't play anything for a week after)

• that little shack filled with mementos of jin's journey is so heartbreaking tbh, the way he remembers the people and the items that were pivotal to his story is incredibly bittersweet

• i still need to liberate kamiagata and do iki island before i do ng+ but i'll be getting my ps4 cleaned and repasted, so that'll have to wait

• this game is so peak i wish i could go back to when i just started playing it, bc i knew about the story already, but discovering things in sidequests and exploration still felt fresh to me
