Chez ta mere coffee shop
Chez Ta Mère Coffee Shop is a unique cultural hub that combines the warm embrace of a neighborhood café with the vibrant energy of pop culture, particularly music. The branding reflects this duality through a playful, yet sophisticated design featuring a vinyl record integrated with a steaming coffee cup. The addition of a retro disco ball and scattered stars evokes a nostalgic yet modern ambiance, making it a standout in Montreal’s cultural scene.
I started by sketching my design. I used the Ellipse Tool to craft the coffee cup and vinyl, ensuring smooth, symmetrical shapes. For the curved text (Chez Ta Mère Coffee Shop), I used the Type on a Path Tool, aligning it perfectly with the circular outline of the vinyl record. I chose a bold, vintage-inspired typeface to complement the retro theme and maintain readability against the soft pink background.
The light pink backdrop conveys warmth and approachability, appealing to a younger, creative demographic, while the bold black accents maintain an element of elegance. The tagline, Coffee Break?, invites to take a moment to relax, socialize, and enjoy the artistic atmosphere. Located at 4302 R. Saint-Denis in Montreal, the shop promises not just great coffee but a sensory experience of live music, creative conversation, and artistic vibes.

Deconstruct and Reconstruct Work in Progress I forgot to post
Tiffany & Co. Brand Deconstruction and Reconstruction
Company Overview: Tiffany & Co., founded in 1837, is a globally recognized luxury jewelry brand, celebrated for its exquisite craftsmanship and timeless designs. The company offers a wide range of products, including engagement rings, sterling silver pieces, watches, and specialty accessories. Known for its signature “Tiffany Blue” colour and iconic motifs like the heart-shaped key and "Return to Tiffany" tag, the brand has established itself as a symbol of elegance and sophistication.
Creative Strategy: For this project, I aimed to reinterpret the Tiffany & Co. logo using the style of mid-century graphic design, a period known for its bold use of typography, clean lines, and minimalist approach. I wanted to capture a sense of nostalgia while introducing a fresh, softer aesthetic. The reconstructed logo incorporates sketch-like elements and playful illustrations that evoke the classic feel of mid-century advertisements, blending them with Tiffany’s iconic symbols such as the heart key. The use of hand-drawn elements and a monochromatic palette creates a feminine and delicate appeal, aligning with the brand’s essence while making it feel more accessible and contemporary.

Cup Of Coffee
For this black and white font sculpture, I chose the letter “C” from the Myriad Pro typeface because it resonates with both “coffee” and “cup,” which are central to the design. The idea of using the letter “C” came from a personal aspiration. That one day I hoped to open a coffee shop, and I began to think about what my logo might look like. This exercise helped me explore potential branding concepts for that future venture.
Through the use of Adobe Illustrator, I modified the letter "C" into a visual representation of stacked coffee cups. The process began by manipulating the basic shape of the letter with the Direct Selection and Warp tools, which allowed me to curve and stretch the letter into a more recognizable coffee cup silhouette. I used repetition to create the stacked effect while applying transparency and shadow effects to introduce depth and realism. The black-and-white color scheme emphasizes the design's clean lines, creating a sharp contrast between the coffee cups and the background.
Shape, size, and repetition played a key role in this composition. By repeating the letter “C” in different orientations, I created a pattern that resembles both cups and their circular saucers, drawing the viewer's attention. As a result of the simplicity of the color palette, the cups' form remains the focal point instead of being distracted by color.
This work represents my creative process and my personal aspirations, as it symbolizes my journey toward creating a brand identity for my future coffee shop.
