“Tearful crying starts with your lacrimal (tear) glands in your tear system. When you cry, your tear glands make tear fluid faster than older fluid can drain through your tear duct system. The extra fluid builds up until there’s too much for your eyelids to contain.” this means he has sustained significant damage to his tear system.

“Your tear system (lacrimal apparatus) is a network of glands, sacs and ducts around your eyes. It makes new tears and drains old ones out of your eyes. Dry or watery eyes are the most common symptom of something interfering with your tear system.” this also means he’d need eyedrops for permanently dry eyes, or at least less watery than normal; if he cannot cry, the water cannot overflow as it is drained before that can happen. So yeah, he’d have at least kinda dry eyes.

Also - apparently the visor is so that he can see! That either means it’s like glasses (though I’d imagine that would make his vision kinda warped in exchange), or uh. idfk. If it’s closer to actual blindness then that’s… uh. near impossible.

Upon some research, I think I’m gonna settle with cataracts! According to my (admittedly not very convoluted) research they can be caused by injury, as long as the lens get Fucked UpTM. And apparently there are glasses thta can help with that! So, the visor is sorta like glasses but fixed and stuff, and at home he wears glasses. :)
