Statement from Chris Bahn

Recently, multiple women in the FGC brought forth a series of allegations toward Chris Bahn, following a string of events involving assault at a Nevada-based afterparty in Las Vegas, NV. Given the serious nature of these allegations, a private discussion was established through legal counsel.  

Chris Bahn was advised not to make public comments of any form. For him, this was an unsettling stance, as he is unaccustomed to dealing with circumstances like this. For days, he internally dealt with seeing the claims and seeing the reactions to partial, unverified, and misconstrued information used to support their allegations.  

Shortly thereafter, his upcoming photography services and travel plans were suspended. Legal counsel again advised against making any statements. Against his better judgment, Bahn participated in an online web program in the hopes of presenting a personal account, Bahn experienced multiple high-anxiety attacks that affected his speech and caused an uncontrollable degree of shaking. Contrary to public opinion, such actions were not faked.  

Prior to his online appearance, an extended statement was released to Dexerto.com, which third-parties took as a verification of the allegations. To be clear, Chris Bahn denies all allegations made against him. Partial logs and/or paraphrased conversations were shared with the public to support their claims. 

Until today, that information was not directly challenged through any formal investigation.

The following log shows that Chris Bahn approached [Accuser A] regarding his actions in which he consumed several alcoholic beverages, and made multiple requests for a pull-out bed. The dialogue details that he overstayed his welcome, though at no point, was any physical contact referenced.

Interactions between both parties discontinued for a short period of time. However, communication and social media contact resumed approximately 3 months later, leading up until EVO 2019.

The discussion reveals that a phone discussion took place with [Accuser B] to discuss the events that would eventually resurface in the allegation made recently this month. From there, communication lines were maintained over the next 3 years and even up until the post with allegations was made.

Final Round 2019

Unfortunately, there is no evidence, physical or digital that can be provided to specifically contradict the allegation made by [Accuser C]. Once again, Chris Bahn maintains that the allegation against him is false.  

Despite the information that is being released, Chris Bahn has no expectation for forgiveness or absolution. It is unfortunate that these matters have become extreme without any solid evidence or thorough investigation. There are certain channels that needed to be used to execute these issues appropriately and social media is not the correct channel as it created a public spectacle. 

Information should have been given to the appropriate authorities for examination for both parties side to confirm what is truth and what is not. Instead, false information was fed to the public. Lastly, Bahn indicates that he would never wish for this to happen to anyone especially with the consequences that have unfolded and may continue to unfold.
