Super Mario Sunshine

I completed Mario Sunshine on the Switch and honestly this game was both such fun and the most annoying thing ever.

I liked the story. The islanders were interesting and I liked all the set designs. The Casino King Boo and his thirsty boos were certainly something :D

Some levels were easy, others pleasantly challenging. However, some things were just outright frustrating. Mario is so super slidey in this game, he back flips sometimes for no reason and the camera is both annoying and has a mind of its own. It certainly feels like an older 3d game as it just doesn't move as smoothly. Due to this I'm not gonna 100% this game (I only have coins and blue coins left to do).

But I'm glad I played it. I think it would have been more enjoyable back when it was released as I wouldn't have Mario 3D World or even Galaxy to compare it to for controls. Overall a solid 6/10

Luigi's Mansion 3

I completed this a couple of days ago and I enjoyed it. Being a big Boo fan, I approve of Hellen's sense of decor. I'm not sure if its been explained in previous games the difference between Boos and ghosts but I am guessing Boos are a spectral species and ghosts are dead people.

I enjoyed the unique twist on the horror game genre. Usually you are experiencing the terrors along with your character, but in this, you are having fun and solving puzzles whilst Luigi experiences the terrors.

I would add that I hated Professor E. Gadd. Why is he sucking up ghosts and Boos and imprisoning them? No wonder King Boo is pissed as both himself and his people are being hunted and imprisoned by some mad scientist. I think E. Gadd is creepy and a villain. Not evil, as he does nice things but he certainly sees Boos and ghosts as things he can just collect and imprison rather than as sentient, feeling, people with lives and free will.

Overall I really liked this game and can't wait for the remastered Luigi's Mansion 2 to come out later this year on Switch.

I love all the fun character designs from Mario Kart Tour but this has to be my favourite;

As you know, I wanna cosplay this;

So I've found a pattern on etsy for large puffy pumpkin shorts, found a fluffy ear hat on ebay and a velvet top that is pretty much perfect on a clothing site.

Due to disability I like to modify and upcyclye to make my cosplay. I rarely build from scratch, so the pants are gonna be a challenge. I searched everywhere for velvet pumpkin pants but alas, I gotta make them.

I've just started Super Princess Peach and...well... the plot's interesting.

Bowser sets up a holiday home on vibe island. He finds a super powerful vibe wand (🤨) and uses it to capture and imprison Mario, Luigi and Toad. Thus Peach has to save them.

Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga

I was reviewing this in chunks as I went, but being disabled I just don't have the energy for that format. I have now finished the game and am gonna list my final thoughts.

The best thing about this game is how it fleshes out the characters and gives them more lore. Poor Luigi being unknown compared to Mario and yet being a wonderful hero and brother anyway. At least he got the attention of handsome Prince Peasley.

There are so many great humorous moments in the game too. I loved the side characters and it was great to have an enemy that wasn't Bowser for once. Cackletta was horrifying and Fawful is certainly something.

It made me want to play every other Mario & Luigi game. The storytelling is just so charming.
