This is going to be a long post but I want to get all my thoughts out. Chapter 2 and this upcoming era are extremely interesting if u treat it like a experiment and armys are the subjects.
Armys prioritize the group over the individuality of the members. Jimin’s massive success without the company’s promotion or massive help from fandom scares them because it breaks one of the biggest narratives in the fandom (jk and thv are most popular globally) and they are scared it could lead to jimin wanting a solo career over staying in the group. You can tell because jimin is the member that armys emphasize loves the other members the most in a patronizing way. You can tell they still cling onto the narrative that jk and thv are meant to be the most popular even today with the discourse today about jk and thv having daesangs despite no official confirmation (because they don’t like the idea of jimin being the only one with the award).

They say that they like meaningful music but that’s a lie as the non jimin songs that are the most popular are the vapid songs that reference sensuality in some way. Despite bragging about how meaningful and well made the rl’s songs are, they don’t actually stream or buy those songs. And now it has made the rl extremely desperate to the point where they are compromising their own musical integrity for the promise of success (rm with the Megan song that flopped, jhope with the latest track with Glorilla and lv bag which flopped, and everyone becoming more cushy with scooter).
You can tell armys are extremely tired with Chapter 2 because of how it broke down their narratives and exposed how hypocritical they are. I am genuinely curious if jhope’s track will be successful (probably won’t be) and how armys will try twist his actions to act as those it’s not showing his desire to be solo over rejoining the group. I’m also curious about how the inevitable delay of the group’s reunion and activities will effect them👀

I wonder if armys realize that rm winning the ama award means nothing if he doesn’t have the streams, sales, or general popularity in the US to make people care. An award only has impact based on the person who won the award.

Not "Fakearmys" loosing sleep thinking PJMs would be crying in our cornflakes over that "Hi Army" from Jimin 😂 nah babe, we're now STRONGER than ever and having finally gotten a sign of life from him on weverse that he is alive, well and healthy we're more determined to keep streaming, voting & buying his music, while the rest of ya'll can sit back and keep ignoring his achievements like you've been doing for the past month while actively interacting with his antis from your burner accounts you think no one knows about, Barbara.

this might sound mean but idc k-pop fans and in general stans of artists need to realize their favs aren’t entitled to have big fanbases. artists are suppose to earn fanbases based on their capabilities and even the artists who use tools and fraudulence to build their fanbases (ex: current Taylor Swift, Drake, BP, JK atp) are under constant scrutiny and their achievements hold less weight. jimin is special because if you followed his journey you can see how he built his fanbase brick by brick simply by releasing good music and performances. he uses few tools - at best covers / versions and far fewer than other artists. he’s an actual artist who earned his fanbase and that’s why the criticism he receives barely holds any weight unlike jk who’s criticism is validated by the company itself.
some artists release good music but due to lack of promotions they don’t have big fanbases and I understand that. but yelling and acting bitter all the time towards other artists isn’t going to make people want to listen to the artist. this is especially applicable to thv and rl stans who think that if they yell at other fanbases and make lies about jimin it will somehow going to change the situation they’re in.

jimin is truly an it boy because why is his daesang win shaking up kpop fanbases so much? you got enhypen stans going through the five stages of grief, exo and jjk stan offering fake condolences to them, rl and thv stans victimizing themselves for the 100th time, and gg stans being nasty. this isn’t even mentioning the amount of uproar his songs have caused😭

each time I see rl stans argue that they should form their own fanbase to support them I can’t help but laugh 😭 I don’t think they understand how hard it is to build a fanbase especially starting from the rl’s position in popularity. It also doesn’t help that the genre they want a fandom from openly dislikes anything kpop and is notorious for not being an open space for women unless you’re looking at specifically women rap fanbases (and not even those spaces half the time)
