My airport luck continued with my second flight. Unfortunately I got the last seat on it and the last seat was literally last row middle seat. I generally pick last row anyway because it’s safer in crashes and I’ve watched every single plane crash documentary on YouTube so. LOL. Anyway I board in one of the earlier groups so I was first to sit down and the girl who had the window told me she’s window but she wants me to just scoot over so she can have the middle seat. She’s not with the aisle guy, she just wanted middle over window??????

Anyway window is my favorite so I’m quite happy. Also I got free plane wifi. 😌

The only thing to go wrong today is we sat on the plane at the gate for an entire hour, 60 full minutes before we pushed off. It’s already a 4 hour flight. Oh and then my water bottle exploded on me. So it wasn’t perfect today but it’s been a darn good travel day overall.

I volunteered to be bumped from my flight in exchange for $750 😌 they put me in first class on a better itinerary that only gets me there 1.5 hours later than the original one. People who didn’t volunteer but got bumped anyway only got $520 (policy for forcibly being bumped is only $300 too so they were helped out there) so it feels good to volunteer LOL. Oh yeah also my flight was free in the first place because I used miles to purchase it. I’m going to Vegas and I’m up $750 without even gambling.

Anyway I have found myself with 5 hours in this nice quiet airport now so I’m working on the next chapter. We’ll see how much I get done.

Your airport adventures reminded me of that chapter in J&3T where they leave London and you wrote that they have to now leave to go to "the London airport" - here's a fun fact: London is one of the few big cities with not one main airport, but with six whole airports around it! Why so many is a fun bit of history but now it's a detail that's causing headaches for travelers and writers alike lol

Yeah lmao I knew that before I wrote that chapter 😂 that’s why he got upset when he realized he was at stansted. But I’m a weirdo and watch those airport shoes from the 90s to 2000s.

He had to just about holler it, because Jason was making a beeline right for his stuff. He was going to email Perry the article as requested, then leave.

That’s what he needed to do. He needed to leave.

Bruce. Bruce fucking knew, he’d bought Jason’s way into this damn job, everyone knew he was just a little trust fund baby. He hadn’t told anyone about having little siblings he’s looking out for. They probably all thought he went home to his fancy ass mansion with his rich dad everyday and didn’t have a damn worry in the world.

That’s why everyone was so annoyed with him, why they all didn’t like that he was there. Jason had worked hard for every single thing he’d ever gotten in life, and then some, but it wasn’t like anyone would ever see that.

At some point, Tim has a day off. He decides to spend part of that day in the skatepark, so he puts on his baggy T shirts over long sleeves and loose jeans, ties his battered trainers, grabs his skateboard and heads off.

Part way through, a bunch of media (or similar) students turn up, asking interviews and doing recordings for their assignment. They spot Tim, (unrecognisable in his personal clothes, rather than work suits) and call him over, both getting permission to record a few stunts (after he realises they have no idea who he is- it'll be funny if they later realise) and answering a couple of their assignment questions (based on Gotham ig) . Amusingly, 1 of the questions is wether he's skipping to be at the skatepark, which he response is that he's actually a drop out, but he used to skip for the skatepark, after working a bunch of internships at di/we for a while, he ended up working there full time.

Anyways it ends up on the Internet, as videos of cool skaters do, and people recognise him and it blows up- because Tim Wayne??? Not I'm business suits, spotted in camera??? Its uncommon. + I feel like the media would often forget that Tim was a high-school drop out if they're not complaining abt it. Also, who knew he was so good with a skateboard? (Everyone who actually knew Tim drake, is the answer)
