His space company, his literal child, and now Twitter: it's the world's most inane Rosebud. He actually bought back the URL, like a cherished childhood sled (owning the right to name a website the letter "X")

Some people told him it made more sense to have their banking company have a indicative name instead of generically being called "X" with vague allusions to being The Site For Everything, and he'll prove those fools WRONG by getting the same things yelled at him over a different website's name twenty years later

It is genuinely disappointing to see recent art from Rachel being like

Obviously theres more examples & i’m definitely not here to bash Rachel.

But if the first image is recent art, then what is with the quality of LO art?

She has so many helpers, shes not a small creator anymore considering the size of the LO fanbase & the awards shes won, I kind of expect art like whats recent to be the standard.

And its like… she can do better. Lore Olympus has lost its magic when it comes to art I won’t lie.

Legit, where do you rank mania among other FOB albums

i mean like. definitely really high (if not at the top!) because:

- patrick is more confident with his voice.. during soul punk through to abap he kind of hid his voice behind the instruments, whereas now (for example, on heaven’s gate) he uses his whole range and it’s powerful to listen to

- they obviously don’t feel as constrained to a genre? like they’ve developed so much since ttyg and the sound of mania is completely different. it’s really refreshing

- lyrically as well it’s like? there are way more lyrics about love for their s/o’s (“i love you so much / it’s just like oxygen”, “everything else is a substitute for your love”, etc) & thats a really positive contrast with like. lyrics from pre-hiatus

- to elaborate on that point as well, there are more inspiring lyrics too? like prehiatus there were lyrics like “talking’s just a waste of breath / and living’s just a waste of death” whereas now there’s lyrics like “take your possibilities and take away the limits / take all your ideas and throw away all the gimmicks” and “i can do anything” you know? its a huge and really heartwarming change imo

- idk i love fall out boy and i love writing long pretentious posts

do you know whats disgusting? fosters home for imaginary friends got cancelled after five years but spongebob squarepants has been on the air for nearly 19 years. whats more is that generally speaking fosters home for imaginary friends is higher rated, as god intended it, because its creative and beautiful and everything good in the world, and yet its both cancelled and not even on netflix
