WARNING, I’M YAPPING

This was the cover for a project I had to do for my Lit and Comp class last semester.

There was a choice board and one of them was to make a podcast about what we were learning (The Odyssey) and we basically had to write a script and read it out.

Mine was my character Phoenix (on the left) interviewing Penelope (on the right) about pretty much what she’s been doing the entire time and connecting the themes to real life situations. Penelope looks the way she does because I was going to have my sister read her lines but we never actually got to recording the script. I never even finished it.

Pointing out details;

The stars on Penelope’s face are pimple patches my sister wore around this time

The golden apple is a reference to The Judgement of Paris

The mirror is supposed to be a reference to Aphrodite

The sun and lyre are supposed to be for Apollo

The posters are Epic the Musical references

Penelope and Phoenix are eating a general Ancient Greece meal or something comprising of peas (if I remember correctly) cheese, bread and some alchehol

I added Hermes in the background because.. podcast… god of messengers?

Some of the books aren’t clear of what they’re about but each book in the front is an actual popular epic poem/story
