Calle Crisologo is one of the famous attraction and tourist spot here in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. Everyone go here to take delight the classic scene and also take part on a journey on what is like during the Spanish times. On another note, I've been dreaming a few years ago that I should visit this town and have a nice photo around the old city. Here's my get up – long-sleeved off shoulder top, high-waisted shorts and a pair of sandals. This street is also famous for photo shoot and film shooting with vintage settings. Behind me is an old ancestral house with weather torn walls. PS, you can see some cemented paste on the walls to cover up some damage.

Love is not love when you're selfish
“Selfishness is putting your goals, priorities and needs first before everyone else even those who are really in need.” In this modern generation, I can say, or... we can all say that there are many perceptions of what “true love” is. A lot of people tend to quantify it or put into actions, labels and characteristics on it — but it is one of the most difficult things to define since not all situations are the same. Every situation differs from the other. Every situation has its own story. And though once we sum up through all the checklists and pop culture interpretations of what someone who really loves you does or doesn't do, there is that one thing that remains true in all types of “real” love. Well, sometimes, it comes to the point wherein you put someone else's happiness first before your own. Love is about compromising with someone, even if it means sacrificing for them. This is why people can think that love hurts, because if it is one-sided, it will really hurt. But the only thing that's telling you is that you've given your heart to the wrong person, because in a situation where it is reciprocated, both people will be willing to give to the other. For this reason, selfish people can never truly love another, because they will be less willing to compromise. This will inevitably lead to one partner giving more of themselves than the other, which can cause resentment or confusion about feelings that are, or aren't expressed. Admit it. It is often forgotten that compromise needs to go both ways in order to actually be effective. The gap left by the distance you've budged from what you want is filled by the happiness of your partner. This is why great relationships are about give and give, not give and take. While I fully believe in giving emotionally to your partner, I also stress the point that there is such a thing as giving too much. You should never do something for others for the sake of a return – as kindness for the sake of a reward is not really kindness. PS, never take someone for granted. If someone truly loves you, you will know it and you will feel it. If they don't, you will always be left wondering if they do.

As we all know, Holy Week is one of our country's most important and treasured weeks, deeply steeped in both tradition and culture. And every time I hear these two terms (holy week), another two come along the way. And those would be "God and Family." This is the week to spend our quality time with our family and at the same time, with God. As a legacy of our Spanish past, the Visita Iglesia, is a widely practiced tradition of us Catholics during Holy Week, wherein we visit 7 different churches and pray the stations of the cross. And last April 15, 2015, we visited some of the most beautiful churches in Pampanga. The 7 churches that we visited were as follows: 1. St. James the Apostle Parish Church (Location: Betis, Guagua, Pampanga) 2. Santa Rita Parish Church (Location: Barangay San Jose, Sta. Rita, Guagua, Pampanga) 3. Immaculate Conception Parish Church (Location: Plaza Burgos, Guagua, Pampanga) 4. La Consolascion Parish Church (Location: San Isidro, Guagua, Pampanga) 5. Holy Cross Parish Church (Location: Santa Cruz, Lubao, Pampanga) 6. San Guillermo Parish Church (Location: Bacolor, Pampanga) 7. San Agustin Parish Church (Location: San Nicolas I, Lubao, Pampanga)

Have you ever sat to the ultimate healthy meal, only to find yourself staring at the unopened Nerds in your kitchen? Or... you made yourself a salad - an incredibly healthy one. A salad that is vegan, gluten-free, and also has berries and various nuts and random seeds that are filled with antioxidants. You know you should eat your salad like a normal person but you really really want that candy. And it wouldn't be sad to eat it. Just for one meal. Boracay is candy in destination form. Wake up. Sit on the beach. Eat. Read. Swim a little bit. Watch the sunset. Get dinner. That's all you have to know. The thing about this place is that the beach here is so good. The sand is so white and fine, the seascape is beautiful, the water so warm and turquoise - that you can do nothing else and still feel entirely accomplished.
