BRF Reading - 27th of April, 2024
This is speculation only
Cards drawn on the 27th of April, 2024
How is King Charles's health? Is he as well as the articles are making out?
Tumblr media
Interpretation: The King wants to get back to work. His body is not so keen on the idea.
Card One: The Knight of Wands
Knights are action cards, so straight away this tells me that the King wants to get back to work. The Knight of Wands represents someone who wants to get things done, they have important tasks they want to complete. This is someone who is enthusiastically manifesting an idea into the world.
However, the Knight of Wands can be rebellious, and they can be an 'act first, think later' person, which suggests to me that the King may be letting his impatience to get back to work so he can push through his idea overrule the need to go slower for the sake of his long term recovery. Maybe. Perhaps. We'll see what the other cards say.
Card Two: The Queen of Swords in reverse
This is not a good energy, and not one that I wanted to see here. In the reverse, the Queen of Swords is a cold, calculating, bitter, deceitful energy. It can also be someone who is overly emotional and is making decisions based on emotion, not on logic. It is this second meaning that is coming through strongly from this card. King Charles is making his decision to go back to work based on his emotions and not on logic (i.e. the doctor's report). He thinks he is ready to go back but I would not be surprised if he finds it far more exhausting than he anticipated when he does return to his face to face visits. He is being ruled by his desire to complete some tasks or do something that is important to him, as per the Knight of Wands, instead of what he should logically do, which appears to be stay home and rest some more (the opposite of his emotion based decision to return to work).
Card Three: The Emperor in reverse
Another not-good card. The Emperor represents the King in his role as King, and in the reverse, with respect to this question, it tells me that King Charles is not well enough to return to work (even though he is going to do it anyway). The Emperor card is reversed, so King Charles's health is reversed, which means it is not good and he needs more rest/time/treatment before he stresses his recovering body by doing things like returning to face to face engagements.
In a general sense, the Emperor in reverse represents some one who is stubborn, a bit reckless, and who wants to be in control. The stubborn energy is coming through here - King Charles wants to get back to work so he will return to work and he won't take heed of any advice to the contrary.
I am really not happy about this card. I am getting very strong energy that The King needs to stay home and not stress himself so his body can recover, and that is the opposite of going back to face to face duties.
Underlying Energy: The Five of Pentacles, reversed
This card represents coming back in after being exiled, which would be The King returning to work after his time away. From a health perspective, this card has mixed meanings. It can mean that the body is beginning to recover from an illness, or it can mean that the illness is worsening and someone is abusing their body. I think both meanings are true here. I think that The King has reached a turning point in his illness and has started to feel a lot better, but I also think that his continued recovery depends on him continuing to stay at home and rest, and that by returning to work he is stressing his body when it is not returned to full health and that might result in a worsening of his illness or a slowing or even reversal of his recovery.
Extra Card: The Magician
I asked if we should believe the media reports of The King's health and the card I drew was the Magician. The Magician is the card of manifesting and of PR spin. This card tells me that the media articles on The King's health are not accurate, they are being spun ti make him appear better/more recovered than he is in fact.
Conclusion:
The King wants to get back to work. That energy came through this reading very clearly. He has some project/s or plan/s that he wants to implement or finish and he wants to get back to work so he can push them through. His decision to return to face to face activities is emotional, not logical, and is likely to have been made with The King not fully considering his doctor's advice (he may be only hearing what he wants to hear - I am sure we have all dealt with patients like that).
The cards say that his health is not good, he is not recovered, he has made a good beginning and/or reached a point where he is starting to feel better, but he needs more rest before his body will be able to cope with the workload of face to face work. The King is being stubborn and insisting on returning to work anyway. So, all we can do is wait and see how that goes.
There is a warning not to believe the media reports of the King's health - they are being spun to make his health appear better than what it is in reality.
I am quite worried about The King's health. I don't think he is going to die, or anything like that, but I do think his return to face to face work is premature and it will rebound on him, leading to a delayed recovery or more health issues later on. I would be much happier if he took another few weeks or month off before returning to his full workload.

Hi Celta, I've been trying to send you an article from The Telegraph about PR advice for Meghan Markle to rehabilitate her image, for two days now, but keep failing. It keeps saying error something on the link even though it's an archive link. Maybe it's my computer latest Windows update problem, I'm not sure.
Anyway, I finally copy/pasted the whole thing to my Tumblr page. I want to give you the link to that page so that you can read it there. the link is here: https://www.tumblr.com/aranpandora/748910778516750336/be-less-american-an-experts-guide-to-fixing?source=share
This is not to promote my Tumblr page, I just want to share this article because I find it interesting. I hope, whenever you can't sleep, you read it, it's a long one.
I miss @honeytothebee, she used to have very good analysis/opinion on things like this. Thank God @anonymousretired is still active; I always enjoy reading her opinion piece.
My short opinion on these PR advice, I don't think they would work, because all these PR gurus forget one very fundamental point: As long as Markle is still viewed as enemy of the very popular future king & queen (W&C), people will never forget what she has done. Just look at Charles, even after Diana is dead all these years, he never soar in popularity (something he so desperately want!) because people don't forget what he did (even if they tolerate him now that he is king). Just my opinion, of course.
Hi AranPandora,
Oh no! I have no idea why the link is not going through. I have reblogged it below this post so people can read it if they were interested.
I would add @anonymoushouseplantfan to the list of people I miss when it comes to analysing articles. I enjoyed reading her analyses.
I agree that those kind of articles tend to miss the deep-rooted reasons for Meghan's unpopularity. Another thing they never take into consideration is this mess is of her own making. She has, by all accounts, had very good PR advice; she simply refuses to follow it. As long as that jeeps happening her reputation will never be rehabilitated and can only spiral downwards, even if the causes of said unpopularity can somehow be addressed, which I doubt. She bullied two beloved members of the BRF as they were dying and another much loved family of the BRF (The Walses) - people are going to remember that for a very long time).

‘Be less American’: An expert’s guide to fixing Meghan’s public image
As the Duchess of Sussex attempts to turn her ‘personal brand’ around, we asked PR professionals how they would salvage her reputation
Author: Kate Wills 24 April 2024 5:43pm
Tumblr media
She recently launched her lifestyle brand with 50 jars of strawberry jam. Now Meghan is hoping that a British PR who once worked for Haribo can make her personal brand taste just as sweet.
This week, The Telegraph reported that Meghan and Harry’s company, Archewell Foundation, has hired Charlie Gipson as its new Director of Communications. Gipson, who has previously worked for brands such as Mars, Cadbury and Domino’s, will serve as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s main point of contact for all UK and European media.
It’s the first time Meghan, 42 and Harry, 39, have hired a permanent member of staff who is based in the UK since 2020’s ‘Meg-xit’, and it could indicate more time spent back on this side of the pond for the Sussex family. But turning Meghan’s reputation around here will be quite some task.
Mark Borkowski, the crisis PR consultant, says he’s not surprised that the Duchess has taken on an expert in consumer products to help “sell her wares like jam”, but thinks that rebranding Meghan to appeal to British audiences is “one of the most difficult jobs in PR…. second only perhaps to doing PR for Prince Andrew”. Yikes.
Gipson, 41, from south west London, has scrubbed much of his personal history from the internet in recent weeks, including his social media profiles. But he describes himself as a “senior PR & Events specialist with over 15 years experience in consumer comms”.
Tumblr media
He worked as an associate client director at the PR behemoth Edelman for three years, as well as roles at smaller firms such as Light Brigade (which is now defunct) and Splendid Communications (whose clients include Durex and Ginsters).
He wrote on his now-deleted LinkedIn profile that he had launched “delicious new treats for Mars”, covered Crufts with Pedigree and once dressed up as Pudsey the Bear for Children In Need, when he was “chauffeured around the BBC TV studios by Matt Baker in a rickshaw”.
Hiring a new spokesperson in the UK is all part of Team Sussex’s global re-brand, aka “Heghan 2.0”. In February, they relaunched their website and in March, the Duchess announced the launch of her long-rumoured lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, with a sepia-tinted video on Instagram.
In recent weeks she has been filming a cooking show for Netflix, and has signed a new podcast deal with Lemonada Media, whose mission is to “‘make life suck less”.
Harry and Meghan certainly need a fresh start, having been dumped by Spotify, criticised for their Netflix documentary and languishing in public opinion polls. Numerous employees of the Duke and Duchess quit, amid a flurry of NDAs and allegations of bullying palace staff during her brief time as working royal (allegations she denied). In January, an Ipsos Mori poll found that only 18 per cent of people had a positive opinion of Meghan, her lowest rating in five years.
So what would the PR industry experts advise Meghan to do next?
‘If you air your dirty laundry in public, it will take time for it to dry’
Natalie Trice, a PR consultant who has worked with clients including CNN, Sense and James Cameron (and author of the book PR School: Your Time To Shine)
Tumblr media
Meghan needs to be consistent if she wants to rebrand herself in the UK. Up until now she’s had a very scatterbrained approach to her output, jumping from a kids’ book, to a podcast, to a lifestyle brand and so on. It doesn’t seem very joined up.
There’s also no consistency in how they want to present themselves as a couple. Are they royals or are they not? Do they want to be in the public eye or do they want privacy? People respond to a consistent narrative so a more joined-up approach on who she is and what her goals are will be the first job.
I don’t know who’s been advising them up until now, but their strategy seems so all over the place that I wonder if they’ve been listening to the advice they’ve been getting. A lot of the stories around them have been very toxic and negative.
It’s not just the ‘us vs them’ dynamic that they’ve set up with the Royal Family, but also the scraps that have played out with Meghan’s own family and the bullying accusations by some of her staff [palace aide Samantha Cohen recently confirmed that she was questioned by the Palace about the allegations]. There’s a lot to unpick and correct and that takes honesty and guts and patience. If you air your dirty laundry in public, it will take time for it to dry.
There’s plenty of rebuilding for them to do, but when you think back to the time of their wedding there was a lot of positive feeling for Meghan in the UK and I think they could harness that again.
She should focus her energy on using her platform and the way she’s overcome her own negative experiences to help other women. We saw a bit of that with the work she did with the Smart Works charity and an animal rescue home she opened in the UK recently, but it needs to go beyond just paying lip service to these causes.
She needs to be seen getting out there, putting the time in and campaigning for issues that matter to her. There also needs to be a strong, cohesive, simple message. Look at how Michelle Obama carved out a role for herself empowering young women through education.
Meghan has a voice and a platform, what does she want to use it to say? Who is she and what does she really stand for? I don’t think anyone knows yet. And hopefully it’s more than flogging strawberry jam to rich people.
‘We need to see a real person behind all the gossip and the headlines’
Mark Borkowski, crisis PR consultant and the author of the book The Fame Formula
Tumblr media
I think we need to see some humility from Meghan. She’ll need to really surprise people if she wants to win them over. She should be led by the examples of some of the people she fell out with in the royal family, such as Princess Anne and Sophie Wessex.
They have been able to have a profound influence by working hard, under the radar, for the causes they believe in. Sometimes less is more. Meghan seems to be more about the explosion of flashbulbs and grandstanding than she is about the soft and gentle touch. If I was advising her, I’d tell her to do some charity work undercover, then she’d surprise people if the things she was involved in turned out to be a great success.
She needs to build up relationships with key players in the philanthropic arena, not just lean on celebrity friends like Oprah. I’d like to see her build bridges with some of her biggest critics.
She’s not going to turn around the nay-sayers overnight, but she can demonstrate that all the words lead to good actions and good tasks. Ultimately, I think people are forgiving and Brits love humility, but Meghan and Harry won’t get far if they carry on peddling their own soft-focus, uncritical, highly controlled narrative.
She’s hired Charlie Gipson, who comes from a very big corporate PR background, to counter a lot of the negativity around her. He’ll be like a soldier of defence going into battle with the British press and the anti-Meghan rhetoric. But her first mistake is that the hiring of him has become a news story.
Tumblr media
As a PR, once you’re the story, 50 per cent of your power is gone. Now Gipson has to prove to the media that he’s going to be able to deliver, both to them and to her. Look at someone like Paddy Harveson, who worked for Charles, he was always very much in the shadows. As soon as people can see the strings being pulled, you’re behind.
For a rebrand to work, Meghan has got to totally trust Gipson and believe in him and what he suggests. Some people hire PRs who they just want to be ‘yes men’, but if this new guy is coming in with tough advice, Meghan has got to take it.
I don’t think she should focus on the Invictus Games, that’s very much Harry’s thing and if it looks as if she’s leeching on to that then people won’t like it.
She needs her own separate communications team to make her stand out on her own. We need to see a real person behind all the gossip and the headlines. Will the real Meghan please stand up?
‘Dialling down her Hollywood ways would be a great start’
Rachel Richardson, a content consultant and writer of the culture newsletter Highly Flammable on Substack
Tumblr media
‘Be less American’ would be the first piece of advice I’d give Meghan if she wants to win over the UK. Second would be to find her self-deprecation switch and flip it to on. And third, to let her actions speak louder than her words. Only then do I think she stands a chance of winning back the British public after all that’s happened since 2020.
It would be a tough turnaround, but not impossible for a woman of Meghan’s talents. But she would have to want it, and be motivated enough to adjust. That’s where I have less faith. The rancour runs deep on both sides of the Atlantic and I question whether she would even have the desire to try to reconcile with Brits after her experiences in the UK, but, of course, ambition is a powerful motivator.
Dialling down her Hollywood ways would be a great start. Less word salads and fewer psychobabble references would go far with plain-speaking Brits who rarely use the words ‘heal’ or ‘empower’.
Shaking off her serious manner would also help. The past few years have seen her dwell on the negative experiences of royal life and – rightly or wrongly – some think of her as a moaner. If she could reveal her sense of humour, or even better, engage in some self deprecation then she could capture the hearts and minds of humble Brits.
Lastly, Meghan would be wise to focus on showing us who she is rather than telling us. In the last few years many of her initiatives have been heavily trailed and she’s spoken at length about her causes. If she prioritised action over narrative building I think she’d be unstoppable and would likely silence many of her critics.
If Meghan could pull off all three then she could make huge strides, but she’s certainly not guaranteed to succeed. If the recent claims from former aide Samantha Cohen blow up then she’ll need more than a few adjustments to rehabilitate her image.
Cohen recently confirmed that she had been interviewed as part of a probe into reports Meghan bullied staff, which has put a spotlight back onto the investigation and its unpublished findings. If the allegations were ultimately found to be true I don’t think even the spin of an industrial PR machine could save her image.
‘Meghan was very good at speaking with people – I’d like to see more of that warm, real side of her’
Abesi Manyando, author and founder of the public relations and branding development firm Abesi PR
Tumblr media
Meghan realised that she needed a UK publicist to ‘read the room’. There was an instant backlash to her launching a lifestyle blog when the UK is having a cost of living crisis and two senior royals have cancer.
The timing wasn’t as sensitive as it could have been. She’ll need to work on that in future.
I think Meghan has a good understanding of social media – her lifestyle brand has gained 600,000 followers very quickly. I’d like to see her be more authentic on it. The food and cooking is something that feels natural for her.
She had a lifestyle blog called The Tig before she met Harry, and rather than such a curated presence I’d like to see more off-the-cuff, relatable content and her speaking directly to her audience with videos.
When she was in the UK, Meghan was very good at speaking with people on the ground and showing empathy and emotion. To really harness her power, she needs to make content that’s not so glossy and edited and considered. I’d like to see more of that warm, real side of her.
That’s how people make a connection to a personal brand and that’s how you can feel relatable even when you have such a high net worth and status. Kim Kardashian is a master of this.
When it comes to her podcast, I’d advise Meghan to champion real people with interesting stories from under-represented backgrounds, rather than just using her celebrity friends.
The fact is, as a woman of colour in the public eye, Meghan has faced racism and there are people who won’t accept her no matter what she does. Part of her strategy will need to be filtering out the criticism that’s helpful, and the criticism that’s coming from those who can’t get past her skin colour.

Celta, I'm chuckling at the latest gossip from Neil Sean Showbiz on youtube. Apparently, MeMe sent jars of jams to an unnamed American celebrity as well as a British-- both whom mailed back the unopened jars of jam to Meghan, lol. (YT video "WHO SENT IT BACK - WHO REJECTED MEG’S JAM THEN?")
Hi Nonny,
That gossip is very funny. I am grinning as I write this. However, I need to add in that I believe this is normal for promotional material - not everyone who receives it is going to want to put it up on their social media. Sending back the jam is still funny, though. :)

"King Charles seems to have spent his life in competition with other people - his brother Prince Andrew, Princess Diana, and now his heir." I think the root of this problem is that Charles has always been deeply insecure and was bullied at school. I don't know if Prince Philip ever bullied his son but it's widely known PP was disappointed in Charles. Insecurity + bullied = needing to be #1 at everyone else's expense. Charles's in his 70s and isn't likely going to change at this point.
Hi Nonny,
Insecurity+ bullied may lead to needing to be number 1, but not always. Additionally, after a certain age, we can no longer blame our parents and/or our childhoods for our behaviour; the onus is on us to heal and fix ourselves. Most of us come to that realisation somewhere between 21 and 50 and take steps accordingly.
So King Charles being bullied at school may be at the root of his initial need to be first in everything, but after a while as an adult that behaviour becomes a choice, and then a set pattern. Look at Harry and how he is always playing the victim - it is a choice by now and not a result of childhood circumstances.
As you said, King Charles is unlikely to change at his age. I wish he would, simply because I think it would bring him more inner peace, but that choice is up to him.

mini reading tarot & oracle king charles 3, 25 april 2024
Tumblr media
King Charles 3 is doing much better, we are asking him for a little more patience to regain all his vitality. He is really eager to turn the page. And to return to the British and the members of the commonwealth. He has observed the storms from afar and is ready to reconnect. He opened his eyes to these relational links. He does not like the current wars and their consequences in his country and elsewhere. His mind is focused on the financial shortcomings of associations, individuals but also the BRF.
he insists on something, he really wants to go or move forward (maybe the doctors tell him certain things)
there is an energy of a queen of epein who has the idea of something linked to abundance or child or success???!!!! we feel satisfied like a wish that came true??? we want to inform or come back with this news as self-promotion??? (Meghan??)
we have memories that mix joy and disappointment in us?? problems return with force.
We hope for a new chapter?! someone announces this celebration
it's not really clear, sorry

Dynamic Reading: Meghan & Harry (April 2024)
Tumblr media
Doing this because I haven't done a reading on them in a while
Remember that this is all for entertainment purposes only.
Let's get into the reading!
Dynamic - 5 of Spades (failure/pride before downfall/abuse/surrender), Queen of Clubs (courageous/independent/confident)
Something failed. It's not their relationship. Surprisingly, I think their relationship has gotten better. Unlike last time when I kept seeing a separation between the two.
This failure I'm seeing feels like a project that Meghan was working on. I think it's the American Orchard thing. The Queen of Clubs tells me that Meghan has a lot of confidence in this project. It can also possibly indicate someone else. Likely an investor or someone that can play a major role in Meghan's new business.
Meghan - 4 of Spades (fear/worries/solitude/withdrawal)
I see Meghan worrying and withdrawing herself from everyone.
It's hitting Meghan quite hard because she had a ton of hope in this thing. I'm not saying that her whole endeavour has failed. I'm only seeing an aspect of it getting terribly affected.
Harry - 6 of Diamonds (support/charity/funds)
I'm actually seeing Harry worry about Meghan's emotional well-being. He's supporting her as much as he can. However, I'm also seeing Harry helping Meghan's business.
This card is a money card which makes me think that there are some issues with investors or just funds in general. I see Harry reaching out to anyone who can invest in this business. He might be pulling out money from his own pocket too.
Overall, it seems like there are some money issues for a specific endeavour that Meghan is working on and Harry is helping as much as he can.

Ginge and Winge would never sue the British media if the UK press started reporting on the fake pregnancies because then Winge would have to produce medical evidence and witnesses to prove she was pregnant and gave birth. Ginge and Winge have sued on a number of ridiculous topics but they stay as far away as possible from the topic of the fake pregnancies. Same as the bullying allegations as Ginge and Winge would have to prove they didn't harass/assault any royal staffers in court as alleged.
Hi Nonny,
You make very good points and I agree with all of them. I'm not sure if the burden of proof lies on the person sueing or the person being sued in the UK, but either way, the fact that the Harkles have not touched those allegations when they clap back, send lawyer letters and start law cases about everything else is very telling.

Those poor military horses who were practicing for KC3's upcoming Trooping the Color event that were spooked by construction noise and ran through the streets of London the other day-- I hope the two injured horses pull through. Celta, could you (and all the people who are reading this) send some healing light to these poor horses as well as the injured Army riders who were thrown off the horses and had to go to hospital as well? Thank you. :)
Hi Nonny,
I looked up what you were talking about and it was terrible. As you said, those poor horses and their riders. I have sent healing light to all involved and I hope everyone involved heals (riders and horses). (horses and riders). It is such a horrible thing to have happened.

Your reading about King Charles' feelings about Princess Catherine seem spot on. I think he may have been befuddled by someone from a middle class background where the character of a person and how they conduct themselves matters. Let's not forget that the bullying report stopped once it reached CH and reports suggest King Charles conducts himself more like H&M than the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Princess Catherine is also known to refuse to do something just for the sake of PR and King Charles is all about PR, the appearance matters more than the truth to him.
Add that Princess Catherine has become the star of the BRF you can see why he would want her out of sight and focusing on being a mother and homemaker.
It's sad that he's reached the age of 75 and is still seemingly in competition with his eldest son and daughter-in-law.
Hi Nonny,
I am glad the reading made sense to you.
King Charles seems to have spent his life in competition with other people - his brother Prince Andrew, Princess Diana, and now his heir. I wish he would just accept himself for what he is and what he has achieved and stop competing with other people. Most of us reach that level of acceptance in our 40s and 50s, if not before, so I don't know what happened with him that he can't seem to be content with who and what he is.

I had to check to see what the news was - it’s about the King being able to resume forward facing (face to face) public duties. That is good news, and it is great to hear it! I am very pleased that his treatment is going so well.

A schadenfreude moment, Celta! Daily Mail is reporting Meggy has yet to find a CEO to run her American Riviera Orchard company, despite looking at potential candidates the past 5 weeks. I think at this point, people have to be either stupid or be brain-dead Sussex fans to want to have anything to do with Meggy. DM article "EXCLUSIVE Meghan's brand troubles: Netflix could step in to help run American Riviera Orchard after Duchess failed to find a CEO despite wide search..."
Hi Nonny,
It is telling that Meghan is finding it harder and harder to find staff, and what staff she does find generally seem to leave after a relatively short time spent working for her. That says 'bad working conditions' when it happens to a business.
As for the CEO position, my first thought was why does she need a CEO? At the moment, she has a very small home business (jars of homemade strawberry jam). That does not need anyone other than herself involved in the business, plus staff to help make the jam if it expands, plus an accountant to keep her on the right side of the tax people, and maybe a part-time, paid per hour sales consultant to help her sell the stuff. It is too small to need a CEO.
