Server Event Summaries (22/05/25)

META: Over the course of the past few weeks, with new members showing up on the scene, character lorebuilding and writing is thriving!

WORLD: With spreading knowledge of the deities surrounding the server (mainly courtesy of Brimm Stonne and Songg Slow), many individuals of the Aquarius Sea are engaging in worship practices such as making shrines to the local deities, leaving out jam and wine for them, and setting up lightning rods to play lightning roulette with the Champion of Maelstrom-- oh. You didn't hear that from us.

WORLD: With the Mayor of parliament's status being up in the air, talks of nature vs. infrastructure are ramping up - particularly between farmers/animal caretakers and Brimstone & Co. following Harriet Brigham's recent construction of a personal lodge made from the reaped material of a redwood tree older than even some of the locals' grandest relatives. Individuals argue that it's a good use of material and arguably to the forests' benefit. Environmentalists vastly disagree.

WORLD: Tempest, Champion of Maelstrom and better-known as deity of the weather and climate, has been in hot discussion due to skies' alleged ruthless nature toward mortal life.

WORLD: Grappling with the newfound concept of respawning after death, people in the server are experiencing a healthy amount of existential dread and doubt. And that's about all I could think to cover for a wide update- feel free to send specific asks about server happenings and I'll do my best to offer answers! I'll tag these in-world updates as '#centsmp updates', for future reference!

It's been a while! We’ve been working on an effective ‘reboot’ of the CentSMP server to balance performance and functionality with player experience. After our first bout, we’ve gone through our mods list and made some changes to create a static modpack to keep things simple and crack down on playability! If you’re new here, CentSMP is a modded survival multiplayer server for Minecraft Java 1.20.1. We’re a small community here to have fun and interact with one another. We’ve whittled down our previous mod choices and put in some regulations and practices to keep things (ideally) playable and enjoyable foremost! Some well-known examples of mods we include:

Additionally, we have included mods such as Argonauts and Continents to encourage making towns and settlements! We have a lot of furniture and decoration mods to play with, so consider applying! If not, stick around for silly posts from the heart of the server and its shenanigans.

The Past Week on the SMP...

In the past week, our internal mayoral election came to a close - our 4 candidates campaigned coolly for a week, before the 3-day poll came out internally and, of all the candidates, with 50% of the vote...

Your mayor is 'Mayor (2)', the charged creeper! We look forward to his inauguration, which is absolutely occurring soon and not experiencing any delays whatsoever!

"The Salty Whisper", Digi-Issue #1 written and edited by Songg Slow This week has proven productive in Lavender Hamlet (some locals call it Spawn), with both a Town Hall and Post Office being built within a few days of eachother.

With no current authority in place, the Town Hall's intended use is for large formal gatherings to discuss international matters. It's the more costly of the two buildings (having built both of them myself), utilizing hellbark wood and terracotta shingles.

The Post Office adjacent to it makes use of simple jacaranda and dark oak wood, but its value comes in its basement floor - the redstone-powered PO box system for mailing items to individuals. With a built-in lamp notification system, travelers far and wide can make exchanges even in one-another's absence.

Lavender Hamlet is slowly building up to a more civilised place, with pathing planned and being constructed at the time of this publication. With rumours adrift of a mayoral election in the near horizon, the small town is sure to see some stark change in the coming weeks.

Welcome to CentSMP!

This is our modded survival multiplayer server for Minecraft Java! We spent a week combing through mods that add to the base Minecraft experience in fun and convenient ways! Headlining this is Origins++, a mod which adds 100+ origins to influence your player experience - from Arachnid to Dullahan! Alongside dozens of other mods, star mentions are Better Combat, Farmer's Delight, Oh The Biomes We've Gone, Origins, the Let's Do! series, the Macaw's series, Dungeons and Taverns, and Immersive Aircraft! We've went for a vibe that expands on Vanilla+ with some fun personable and quality of life mods!

This server is intended to be a factions-like experience. Find some friends on your travels and base up together as a guild! Go exploring in a cargo ship, set up shop on your home ground with whatever abundance of resource your unique biome has - there's a huge sloth of options for stuff from building to combat to customisation! There's also a Voice Chat mod installed, so that - if you choose - you can chat with whoever you run into over VC! Or blast music as you rocket by in a plane. The choice is yours! This server is whitelisted and has limited player slots to retain performance, so you DO need to apply before we can let you in. But we're looking for players, and we'd love to have you! If you'd like to join, please read the Terms and Conditions, then head to the Google Form to apply for the server! (Both will be found in the replies!) Important Announcement about Applications

Good morning/noon/evening, chat! As of recent server events and the existing server members cultivating a certain environment, we've decided to remove the 13+ and 16+ options from the application. It's an 18+ SFW server as of this moment, and full of adults. We're sorry to any applicants this affects but hope you'll stick around to see shenanigans posted here! They'll still be SFW and no NSFW is still a rule of the server. We just don't want to cultivate an environment where suggestive jokes are made around minors. o/ Thanks for reading, and good night from staff!
