Peep this video:
youtube
Being a big fan of Grace Chasity and NPMD when coming from a very atheist area is sorta weird, like I'm missing two thirds of the subtext because it's stuff I've never been exposed to. I don't know anyone who goes to church on Sunday, the only prayers we did at school were cultural ans mostly for food.
I am missing so much about that show which sucks and it's just because I have no like, real concept of how Christianity works because I've never been around it.
I need someone who understands Grace's character a lot more than me to watch npmd with me and explain all yhe subtext I'm missing
#it’s the thing that made Grace my favorite character and inspired my fanfic#also atheist btw#Christian family background though#not super relevant but wtv#Youtube

genres i'm tired of:
"feminist retellings" of stories that can already be considered feminist in their own right
"feminist retellings" that fumble the "feminist" plotline so bad it just turns misogynistic
"feminist retellings" that still center around and hinge on men
"feminist retellings" written by people who don't understand what feminism is

From the book Organizing Solutions for People with ADHD:

Putting a coat on the back of a chair by the door is fine, but if you prefer, use coat hooks and a large catch-all basket for dropping keys, hats, gloves.
Small bookcase end-table next to the couch to store craft projects, books, and other things being worked on for easy access.
Add a storage unit near the dining room table to transition between eating and working there.
Daily toiletry items should be stored in a basket that you can move easily
Extra toiletries and medicine cabinet items go in open shelf/basket storage so they can be seen and used easily. If items no longer fit, purge the excess. Don’t obscure the view!
If you disrobe in the bathroom, place a tall hamper in there.
Keep a set of cleaning supplies in each bathroom

The Living Room Confrontation Scene
You know something that gets over looked about the scene with Tyler talking to his dad about his mother in the living room?
The fact that this entire conversation was sparked because Donovan told Tyler to stay away from girls like Wednesday because it'll get him hurt.
Like of course this was aimed at Tyler's mom, and that is supposed to be the overall bigger picture.
But the part that is overshadowed is that this also seems like an EXTREMELY real reaction from Tyler.
And what I mean by that is.
Tyler seriously seemed mad at his father for bad mouthing Wednesday, like he genuinely didn't want to hear from his dad that Wednesday might hurt him.
This scene was important for a multitude of reasons, but this was the scene you could really tell that Tyler really seemed to like Wednesday, and if anything Donovan telling him to stay away from her, probably did indeed make him like her even more.
What i'm getting at overall is, If Tyler was acting the entire time, and had NO genuine feelings for her..Why did he get so upset at his father comparing Wednesday to his mother?
Because maybe he was scared that Wednesday would leave just like his mother did?
I don't know just food for thought..🤷🏾♀️

Okay, you know what? After reading this post, I jokingly said we should all just make a pact to reblog it five times a day forever. So I'm gonna do this louder for the people in the back:
AO3 WAS CREATED BY FANS, FOR FANS
AO3 IS RUN BY FANS (VOLUNTEERS, NO LESS)
AO3 IS PART OF THE NON-PROFIT, ORGANIZATION FOR TRANSFORMATIVE WORKS
AO3 IS NOT OWNED BY ANY COMPANIES AND DOES NOT EARN REVENUE
AO3 OPERATES ON DONATIONS FROM FANS
again:
AO3 WAS CREATED BY FANS, FOR FANS
