Hihiii!!! Ehhhh life’s been life ig 💀 Summer break for me so I feel like I have absolutely nothing to do all summer since literally nobody is hiring 😭😭😭 Literally so many super walkable places and all of them wanna not hire me

I have another year of hs bc my transcripts wanted to be stupid my fresh year so not super looking forward to that, but it let me figure out what I wanted to do another year. Didn’t make my goal on the sat retake💔💔 it’s fine I mean objectively I got a pretty great score and jumped my math from a 630 to 710 but I got so close to a 1400 so it’s idk :P I’m not retaking it again tho so that’s just gonna be my score, it’s well within the upper range of accepted scores for my top school so I think I’ll be okay but it’s a little disappointing to get 10 points below your goal

I tend to get rlly sad over the summer lowkey, so I’ve been fighting off that cause I just get so much more time in my own head, and also trying to stay creative. I’ve been working on a DnD setting I’m really excited for though, first two campaigns are gonna be 200-800 years in the past of the main campaign I’ve been working on, and they’re gonna impact a lot of things in the main campaign but also you can see how the world changes over time and it’s gonna be really cool

Working on Kian making him his own main character!!! It was always supposed to be the plan to have Kara and Kian to both have separate narratives independently from each other, with Kian being more heroic and Kara being a darker story but then I only focused on Kara and left Kian behind so I’m bringing his story up to the same level of thought. STILL haven’t finished their rp blogs yet but I’m gonna eventually I need more colored art for Kian

And I’ve been getting my ass kicked in Deltarune and rewatching game theory FNAF videos 💀 Hbu? How are you doing?

Had to delete a whole yap/vent cause I lowk just spiraled into a whole ass mess in my yap so that’s some insight into the mess I’m feeling rn. It’ll be fine tho, just writing it out really helped, even if it made me feel like more of a fuckin mess💀💀💀 Birthday was fun tho Im gonna run a dnd campaign for my friends over the summer, I got re3 re7 and Spiderman:miles morales and like all 3 for only 60 bucks at gamestop😎 I saw Chase Petra earlier this year too and that was part of the bday gift cause they’re my all time favorite band. Haven’t been able to draw or write for shit tho, not the vibe.

I’ve never done fantastic over the summer tbh, I get too in my own head. Doing a lotta stuff this summer so hopefully I’ll be alr 🤞🤞🤞 Yeah but anyways just a quick like not dead wow, byeee

Maybe a sort of unpopular opinion considering Im on a creative platform, and it’s a genuine concern for writers, but I honestly rlly like AI, despite its issues, and it’s really interesting to me. I’ve been doing a lot of research on it for and outside of school, and like, interested to the point that my senior capstone project next year is more than likely going to be about the negative and positive impacts of AI and other developing technologies, cause there’s a LOT from the mass college panic around educational integrity, the voice actors and writers strikes, and how it could impact creative jobs. Even pivoting to tech in general how the internet alters brain chemistry, especially the rapid switch to TikTok and other short form videos and how the cycle of instant dopamine is so genuinely making people mentally ill. But also all the positive impacts it could have, I’ve definitely yapped to a language model to get really in depth personal feedback on my works, and while AI spreads a lot of misinformation now, it could be a genuine fantastic resource for research in a couple years just like the internet and google were in the 90s and 2000s (Gemini, Googles language model, seems to be the best for this right now imo due to it citing sources pretty effectively, but it’s still wrong a TON. I… wouldn’t trust ChatGPT though for like, basically anything scholarly, like ever)

Like ofc my opinion is nowhere near tech dudebro, Im a writer and artist cmon, and language models are a genuine concern for writers and writing as a career. Honestly Im a lot less sold about the threat image generation poses to artists atm, past datasets abusing copyrights (so did google specifically when making google books😬😬 probably other stuff but thats the one I remember off the top of my head, corporations being immoral and taking advantage of people isn’t new) and general employee regulations. Theres too much false information and blatant fear mongering within the art community rn, so while yes, copyright is being infringed and it’s awful, there’s not a lot of understanding of what datasets and scraping really is (and how those same standards are NOT upheld for your 5 dollar amazon sticker packs and other legitimate art scraping, like PLEASE let’s band together against scraping art, or hell the character chats thats datasets are built off fanfiction, but you can’t fold the second stolen art is convenient for you), but that’s neither here nor there.

I think most things on the internet deserve more complex and nuanced opinions than they’re given, and that extends to technology. The fear of developing technology is not new in the slightest, people were hesitant about the use of the book, about the computer, just like they are about AI, they were worried it was going to change society and it did, but it wasn’t a bad thing. I wanna discuss with people you know? I want people to know why they’re fighting against AI and what it really is. I am so overwhelmingly sick and tired of extreme or clickbait opinions spreading the internet like wildfire, and AI is a victim of it.

AI needs to be heavily regulated right now, and corporations will use it to take advantage of people because that’s just what they do, but I think to have a meaningful conversation about AI, you need to acknowledge it’s not the technology itself that’s taking advantage of people or putting people out of jobs, and it never will be. People and corporations and governments will take advantage of people using new unregulated technology, and that fucking sucks and we need to fight it, but the issue will never be the technology.

Idk if I’m making sense or coming off too strong, I just need people to think critically for once💀😭😭
