Also.What inspired you to do this?

Well, it‘s actually just a drawing exercise I sometimes do as warm-up. I love monster designs and always thought those fusion thingies are interesting. But I wanted to give it a twist by adding the randomizer part to make it more challenging and not only fuse the designs that are going well or are aesthetically pleasing.

oh thats interesting that you fused farfetchd with swirlix, i hadnt thought of what you would do with regional variants or pokemon with regional evolutions

Yeah some special evos and variants gonna be a bit more tricky so I gotta improvise in some cases

Randomized PokeFusion Dex:

This is a drawing challenge where two Pokemon evolution lines will be fused.

I‘ll go chronologically through the dex, which means some Pokemon from one line may appear later (like the Pikachu line where Pichu is in a different generation).

The fusion will be randomly picked through a number generator and the rules may shift for certain Pokemon.

Are you comfortable with people using your fusion designs for their trainer ocs? (Obviously with credit for anything that might be posted) Your designs are so creative and might be some of my favorite pokemon fusions I've ever seen!

is bulbarly still your favourite? its a hard choice for me but i think slowperl and paramagius are my new favourites although the weelosis line is probably still up there as a line at least.

Arrrgh it‘s difficult to decide! Bulbarly has a special place in my heart but if I reeeaaally had to choose I would actually say it‘s Pareavus or Butterswine.

Pareavus because of it‘s aesthetic and colors and Butterswine because I am proud how I pulled that one off (fusing a big mammoth with a delicate butterfly by giving it some cool creepy wings).

But now thinking of it… Feardol is also a top candidate and so is Ponyarch and Slowtail!

do you plan on going up to a certain gen or do you want to keep going, and if youre gonna keep going what will you do if a pokemon gets an evolution once youve already made it so it cant line up cleanly how youve been doing?

I will keep going till I either finish the dex or lose interest~ It‘s an easy going challenge, where I decided I will do without any pressure so I don‘t know how far it will go.

Ah and yes, the problem with new Gens and new Evos… I already have a problem child in my dex with the Mankey line that got a fusion with the Gulpin line. I drew this one before Pkm Scalet/Violet and now there is Annihilape.

Welp, this was bound to happen sooner or later so I am not worried about that now. I‘m pretty sure there will be at least another Gen or two (or three, or four—) with even more evos for Pokemon from previous Gens, before I should ever get to the end.

Maybe I will just draw an evo based on the other stages and do it „freestyle“. But that‘s a problem for future-me.

If a pokemon has already been done for a fusion- when you get to its number are you going to fuse it again?

Yes! Every Pokemon should appear twice in this challenge. Once as Pokemon A (the base, aka the Pokemon where I go chronologically through the dex) and as Pokemon B (the fusion material).

The Oddish and Abra lines are done for example because they appeared as Pokemon A and B already. This means they won‘t be fused again in this challenge.
