"I'd say it's more aberrant than weird," Lorelai offered, slight shrug given as she glanced over at the male. A faint smile pulled across her lips at his question, memories of her childhood flooding straight to the front of her hippocampus as she pulled her gaze away. "Lively, upbeat. There was hardly a day where the streets weren't crowded with people laughing and having a good time. Where are you from?"

"what word would you use then?"henrik questioned, an eyebrow raised ever so slightly. he was glad that she could understand what he was saying. you don't expect to be back when you know you have passed before. "what was it like before? i never have been here before , well never really travelled to many places before."

Laughter was quick to ease from parted lips as the younger Shaw wrapped her arms around her, relief flooding through her as her own arms wrapped tightly around Riley, breathing in her sister's scent fearing that the second she pulled away it would all disappear again. "Hey Riles," Lorelai spoke softly as guilt began to rise. "I'm so sorry, I didn't- I never meant to leave you."

"lor?" she asked in a hesitant soft voice. for a moment riley was questioning her sanity, sure that she was hearing things. she probably wouldn't have even turned around if it wasn't the fact that she knew the dead was coming back. steeling herself for disappointment, riley tried quieting the hope in her that maybe, just maybe, her sister was one of those that found their way back.

the she wolf turned around, guitar still clutched in her grip only to be quickly discarded. "fuck, it is you!" a wave of emotion flooded her as her arms flew around her sister, pulling her in close.

A grin formed quickly at the male's response, a strangled mix of a scoff and a laugh falling from plush lips as she rolled her eyes at the other. "Curfew's are for chumps," Lorelai retorts. "I always thought they were more of a guideline of when I should be home. It's good to see you again, Briggs."

As bad as everything was getting, there were little specks of light growing brighter and brighter. They had suffered, of that there was no question, but in the end, people they thought they'd never see again on this side of life were returning. He knew Riley would see her sister again someday, but even in his wildest dreams, he never thought it would be so soon. "What curfew?" He teased, barely containing his pure, unfiltered relief at the sight of her alive and well again, "that's just for you."

Stifled laughter eased from the blonde's lips, incapable of actually taking the moment serious as she watched her brother process her presence with ocean hues. "I mean I that it was pretty hilarious," Lorelai shrugged, huge grin plastered to her features. "Come on, admit it, it was a little bit funny." Grin slowly begins to fade as she finally becomes a little more serious as he began to question if it was really her, giving a small nod in response. "Yeah, it's- I'm here," she confirms. "I'm real... At least I think I am. Wanna pinch me and confirm? Pinching myself seems kind of redundant because of course I'm gonna feel that."

“Holy fuck” the words left his lips breathlessly, the wolf having to do a double take to ensure that this wasn’t his minds way of playing a cruel trick on him. “Rory?” The sound of her voice caused for his features to soften, finding himself momentarily frozen as his eyes refrained from leaving her sight "that isn't funny!" but even he had to admit it was a little bit and he might once the shock inevitably wore of. "Is this, are you.... holy fuck."

"Oh but you're so much more fun to haunt, Kenner," Lorelai quipped, amusement very much evident against soft features as she gave a shake of her head. "Besides, I heard there was a party and you know how much I love to party. Especially if you're there for me to annoy the entire time."

The familiar voice caused for Nathan to hesitate, but he wasn't going to let Rory peak beneath the façade that he had worked literal years on to master. "Didn't you have anybody better to haunt?" His quip came paired with a grin and despite the onslaught of fallen faces returning, that didn't make it any less weird each time it did happen.

A smile crept across her features at the sight of Riley's friend, slowly making her way over and stopping beside him as if everything was completely normal, like she hadn't been dead for 2 years because of her own stupidity. "Tell me," the blonde mused. "Is it just me or is this whole curfew thing a total joke? Like us going home earlier than usual will actually make a difference."

"As weird as it is," Lorelai hummed as a familiar frame approached, an attempt at making light of her entire situation. "Being a zombie is kind of badass. At least I'm a hot zombie, not like those disgusting, -insert attempted zombie sound here-, let me eat you're innards zombies from all the apocalypse shows on tv nowadays."

Digits tugged tirelessly at her sleeves as she moved to approach a familiar blonde, one that she was sure was going to be mad at her for leaving her on her own (even if it hadn't been her intention, dying and all). A soft clearing of her throat was given as her frame halted behind her younger sister, arms folding of her chest, almost as if she was trying to comfort herself. "God, I thought I was only gone what two years," Lorelai taunted, though nerves showed through on her vocals. "You look old as shit Riles."

"Well hello to you to, Kenner," Lorelai mused, cerulean hues rolling as arms crossed over her chest. Two years dead and the male still remained the same not that the blonde could say she was really surprised. Some people just don't change. "I never was one to stick to a curfew," femme counters. "Curfew's have always been rather- mundane- if you ask me."

"I thought we said no excuses?" motivational speaking was hardly Nathans forte, but partying was. With a bottle of beer in one hand and a lit cigarette in the other, Nathan's enthusiasm prevailed and the hybrid continued to speak his piece. "This party is practically tradition. A soft hum vibrated against the rim of her glass before lowering it, crystal hues falling on the male that spoke before allowing a soft chuckle to ease from her lips. "Not sure I would use the term 'weird' to describe being back from the dead but close enough I suppose," Lorelai retorted softly. "It's definitely not a bad place, at least it wasn't before all this stuff that's going on."

"i mean, i'm sure you, yourself would find it weird being back or for everyone you knew to be back from the dead."a small sip of his beer, even the beer itself tasted different but that could be due to him moving completely from where he had been raised before his last death.
