sorry if I'm bothering you, but what is minustalia? I'm super new to the fandom and I just found this and I have absolutely no clue about it, or where I can read/watch it.

[[   Hiii, I’m really sorry I got so late in answering this! (I haven’t been visiting this account lately, you see. And I’m planning on archiving this already and move blogs, but hey, I saw this! Thank you for asking!)

I’m not sure where to start of with Minustalia. It’s underdeveloped– gone through a few tweaks…but the current version of Minustalia I have right now turned into a fictional allohistory. It’s mostly just my AU/Allohistory though, hahahaha– But if you’re interested, keep reading and I’ll break it down from the terms first. 

Basically from the title itself, Minustalia/Minus Hetalia, I sometimes describe it as a ‘minus’ to what Hetalia actually is. That was it’s starting concept (although I’d be lying if I say that, since my “most” root idea of Minus Hetalia was just the character in suits with blank personalities and uh.. yeah. Past me, what the fuck what were you thinking) 

Also, instead of numbering the Ps, I blanked out the numbers and replaced it with “–” instead (We(my friends) had a joke about a “+” version, but I never actually got to show it. Well, I’ll keep what concept me and my friends have in mind). Minustalia was just a light character concept, me being amused with the idea of 1 / 2 / 3…Ps and playing around with it.

And then Minustalia got a bit developed over the time and it began to wrap on the negative meaning of the “–” sign, while still keeping the blank personalities as part of it because you know, some characters still tend to go “dead” in existence. Prussia, for example. (wow, surprise. lol not really //slapped). The characters are still country personifications, though, keep in mind. The thing is, from just character concepts, I also started making a (somehow) serious story out of it.

And and and— recently, I’ve been adding human characters to Minustalia (like writers, kings/queens, emperors/empresses…the like). Studied what I noticed in the flow of history, and how it is made… what people, events, and things are involved in it. The structure of life, honestly– Sorry I think I ended up rambling.

Anyway, Minustalia turned to start off from an allohistory in 20th century (or slight hints that it could have been earlier than that. i.e., the –HRE comic I made about it). And it ends in a future with genres of steampunk and cyberpunk. And uh, robots taking over humanity that kind of stuff? It also touches a sensitive(?) subject– …World War 2. A compilation of what ifs (that I have yet to finalize, oh my god???): What if Britain didn’t lose his status over the world? What if it wasn’t Hitler, or he didnt even get to “get it there”? What if the term “super powers” didn’t just stop there and it could have reached, once again, into “world powers”?  And the country personifications will co-exist with reality (I have a certain character(writer) in the making explaining that stuff). Meaning they are not just merely reflections of a nation, but more of as well that their power (as a physical human/hybrid being) can contribute to the armed forces. Stuff like that.

Minustalia has several focus points too with every century. So far I have 21st to 25th partly covered. It really is, as I try to, make it look like actual history in the future, so I can’t really make a definite story out of it unless I focus on a certain timeline. But like I said beforehand, Minustalia is still underdeveloped, and I have lot of things to study about the world and it’s history soooo— *jazz hands* yeah. This is the gist of this AU.  ]]
