Age Line: 18+ Join us for a silent book club. Bring whatever book or reading materials you would like and we will set a timer for an hour where we will read in silence (if you prefer to craft you may do that instead if you can do it in silence :) After the hour is up we can hang out and socialize. Bring a blanket or chair as it is a grassy park that we will be reading in. There is a Barnie’s, Croissant Gourment Bakery, Le Macaron French Pastries and Panera nearby if you want to get coffee/tea and treats before the event. Age Line 18+ You shouldn’t always judge a book by its cover. Put your trust in fate and choose a book without knowing the title, maybe you will fall in love. Join us for a blind book exchange! If you would like to participate, please bring in a wrapped book (gently used or new, just be prepared to part with it forever.) The books should be wrapped and then a few words or a drawing vaguely describing the genre or content of the book, like “Mystery”, “Love Story” or “Political Drama”. Please make sure to label any R- and X-rated books as "Restriction Section". You don't have to participate to attend but everyone who brings in a book will take home a new book in return. ✨ We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment that you can purchase in Diagon Alley prior to your departure. ✨ Join your fellow magical friends of the Central Florida Slug Club as we travel from King's Cross Station to Hogsmeade for the start of term. School uniform is strongly encouraged but not mandatory. ***Term begins on September 1st. We are meeting to the left of King's Cross, Look for the bright yellow Slug Club flag. We will hopefully be getting in line at 10:40 but could be getting in line as early as 10:15 depending on the wait, so please be on time! *** We will get a class photo and sing the school song before heading to Platform 9 ¾. Please note it is our intention to ride the train as close to 11:00 AM as we can get but we can't guarantee it and we will most likely take up more then one train. Upcoming meetup this Thursday! ✨ • To pay our respects to those we lost in the wizarding community, we will meet for dinner at The Three Broomsticks this Thursday, May 2nd, followed by a wand raising ceremony in front of Hogwarts for the 21st anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts. I am not sure of the exact times of the castle show other than being every 20 minutes from sundown, but we could watch that afterwards too. Themed cosplay is encouraged but not required.
