I drew the characters from the Stormlight Archives! There’s in order: Kaladin x2, Adolin, Dalinar, Renarin, Shallan, Jasnah, Navani. For some of them I’m not 100% sure if I imagined them like that but I don’t know how I did imagine them either so let’s just go with it.

Fic authors deserve more credit.
Story time: I started a book about 23 hours ago and just finished it. Also in that time I slept for 10 hours, spent time with family, was at work, etc. Anyway, I enjoyed the book (Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda). But it felt like it flew by, so after I finished I looked up the word count because what are pages? Pages are meaningless. I only function in word counts anymore.
The estimate I found was 58,580. My immediate reaction was “oh, that’s why. That’s nothing!” But what a shitty response. Because no. That’s not nothing. That’s a whole. Damn. Book. An entire novel! And Fic authors regularly bust out 30k, 50k, 100k, 150k words. AND THEY DO IT FOR FREE. WHILE WORKING AND LIVING THEIR LIVES.
So anyway, thank your favorite fic author today because they deserve it. Because they’re amazing. They’re the MVPs.

Thank you for the summary! A Tv serie is better than a movie in my opinion, but an animated serie (like Avatar for example) would be even better. Unlike Game of Thrones, magic is heavily present in Wheel of Time, and I feel like it will be difficult to do it justice if it is with real people.
Why We're Skeptical: The Long, Mired History of the Wheel of Time Screen Adaptation
If you’re not active in the Wheel of Time fandom…hell, if you were active and then got out of touch, hold on tight because you’re in for a bumpy ride. The story of The Wheel of Time, from its drawn-out publication, to the death of its author, and to the myriad attempts at creating a screen adaptation, is a lot to keep track of and I’m not surprised if you’ve long since stopped paying attention.
You may or may not have heard that recently (April 20th, 2017) it was announced that The Wheel of Time TV Show will be produced by Sony Pictures Television, in conjunction with Red Eagle Entertainment and Radar Pictures.
“Wasn’t there going to be a movie?” you may ask.
“Didn’t they already make a pilot?”
The answer to both of these questions is yes.
My intention with this post is for it to be a masterpost/timeline of the seemingly endless array of events that have taken place to get us where we are now. I’m not saying that I think they’re definitely going to make the TV show this time–as maledictor said, I’ll believe it when I see a trailer–but I must admit that it feels different this time. Sony Pictures Television is by no means some small trifiling production company (I’m looking at you REE), and with the success of Game of Thrones, it would be folly not to cash in. There have been semi-formal announcements, a modicum of transparency…it feels like the real deal this time. However, that may or may not be a good thing.
This post is going to be pretty long, but hey, you read The Wheel of Time…
In 2008, Universal acquired the film rights to The Wheel of Time, in conjunction with Red Eagle Entertainment.
Many of us are familiar with the “IMDB page of doom” which still lingers to this day, proclaiming the “The Eye of the World” movie is “in development”
According to Rey Rigney, Robert Jordan’s nephew, RJ wanted Red Eagle Entertainment to have nothing to do with The Wheel of Time. There is evidence of RJ sounding off about them on his blog.
YEARS PASS with no word
On February 8th, 2015, an unsuspecting fan discovers a TV listing on FXX at 1:30am…the listing is described as “Winter Dragon” and the description reads: “Lews Therin returns home to his family after a 10-year war against an army of darkness; he is greeted by an unexpected guest.”
COMMENCE MASS PANIC
The Pilot is awful (you can watch it on YouTube) and come to find out it was a last-minute effort for Red Eagle to keep their about-to-expire rights.
Harriet is furious
(side-note: the director who put together Winter Dragon actually passed away just days before the premiere)
RED EAGLE THREATENS TO SUE HARRIET
Which brings us to April 28th, 2016, almost exactly one year ago: Harriet announces via Google+ that there will in fact be a TV series. The details are slim, only saying that the legal issues were “resolved” and with no mention of who would be producing said TV show.
And finally, yesterday, April 20th, 2017. Sony Pictures and….Red Eagle Entertainment?! After all that they’re still involved?!
It’s all pretty insane, and you would be wise to remain skeptical. I don’t know how I feel knowing that REE and Radar are still involved, considering the way they’ve behaved and the horrible quality products they’ve created up until now. I will try to regularly update this post as more news comes to light.
The Light illumine you,
Minnie <3

Teen French expressions
For if you want to make hip young friends.
Disclaimer: French people complain a lot. A lot. Don’t be surprised if 90% of these expressions are complaining.
Non mais oh - say this if someone does something mildly annoying and you want to express your shock and distaste.
Tu me fais chier - (alt. tu me fais chier, là.) literally ‘you make me shit’. means you’re pissing me off.
Carrément - translates to ‘squarely’. Means ‘literally’. If someone tells you something surprising or annoying, you can answer simply “ah carrément.” see: tu me fais carrément chier.
J’hallucine / je rêve - are you annoyed by something? say these.
C’est pas possible - a classic. anything bad happens - c’est pas possible. There is no cheese left? It’s not possible. I’m hallucinating. This is a burden on me that solely I can bear I cannot believe this is happening.
Ça commence à me gaver - I’m starting to get real sick of this. see: Ça commence carrément a me gaver là, putain.
T’es relou - verlan slang for ‘lourd’ meaning someone’s heavy, personality-wise. They’re tedious.
Ça me saoûle / ça me gonfle - similar to gaver, means something’s pissing you off, you’re sick of it.
Grave - totally.
C’est clair - totally/that’s clear. Like ‘claro’ in spanish. “Justine elle est trop relou” “C’est clair. Elle me fait chier.”
J’en ai marre - I’m sick of this.
J’en ai ras le bol - I’m sick of this.
J’en ai ras le cul - I’m sick of this (vulgar).
(J’en ai) Rien à battre - I don’t give a damn.
(J’en ai) Rien à foutre - I don’t give a fuck.
C’est bon, là. - That’s enough.
Perso, euh, - “Personally,” generally used at the start of a complaining sentence, to express how personal the matter is to you. Perso, euh, c’est bon là. J’en ai ras le cul.
Rôh là - general expression of distaste. Le longer the rôh, the more annoyed you are. Rôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôôh, c’est quoi ce bordel.
C’est quoi ce bordel ? - translates to “what’s this brothel”, means “what’s this shit?!”
C’est de la merde - It’s shit.
C’est une blague ? - Is this a joke?
Idem - ditto
J’ai la dal - I’m hungry
Ça caille - It’s freezing
Ouf - two meanings 1. phew or 2. verlan for “fou”, meaning crazy (as a noun or adjective). “Kévin, c’est un ouf! Il fait du vélo sans casque!” “Ouais carrément, c’était un truc de ouf!”
Kévin - there’s a running joke that all the young delinquents seem to be called Kévin.
Crever - slang for “to die”. Va crever, connard!
Connard/Connasse - c*nt, but a lot less vulgar in french peoples eyes
And finally,
T’es con. No English translation can express the power behind the words “t’es con”. While it may sort of translate to “you’re a c*nt/idiot”, it expresses something much deeper. You really are a god damn fool.

You know what’s never not funny?
FMA03 Scar is just so bishie. He looks like he’s in danger of starting a boy band any second. He’s so delicate. So streamline and alluring. He was an extra in a shojo anime who stumbled on set and they were like “shit man we needed someone to play the vengeful murderer youre hired”
And Brotherhood Scar is just so goddamn shredded. 80% jawline. 15% cheek bones. 5% man pain. Dude coulda bench-pressed Sloth out of the fucking Briggs fortress if he’d just been around for it. Testosterone is ashamed of its masculinity around Brotherhood!Scar. Someone chiseled a block of marble and it started talking and everyone just rolled with it.
How are these two the same character howd this happen I’m just fucking laughing

It was so hard for me to know where to start. I read the mistborn trilogy first, and the only book that I haven't read yet is Warbreaker.
The Problem with Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere Universe
Friend: “Do you have any book suggestions?”
Me: “You absoulutely need to read The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson, it’s my favourite series in existence.”
Friend: “Oh, okay, thank you! I’ll check it out!”
Me: “Well, actually, you should read the Mistborn Trilogy before the WoK just so you get an introduction to Sanderson’s writing and trust him enough as an author to get through the massive exposition in WoK (which is soooooo worth it), not to mention the two series are set in the same universe of different worlds… On that note you should actually read Elantris too because it’s also in that universe on a differnt world, but it’s the first book he wrote in that universe and it’s amazing. And before you read WoR you need to read Warbreaker because some characters from that show up in the last half of WoR and it’s really great. Oh yeah! There’s this one character that shows up in every single book that’s set in that universe, which is called the Cosmere by the way, so look out for him. Alrighty, so you need to read Elantris, Warbreaker, Mistborn Trilogy (possibly all three trilogies), and the Stormlight Archive, which is going to be ten books long but only two are out right now oh it’s going to be so fun.”
Friend: “…”
Me: “I’m sorry.”
