Idk if you're still taking requests but if you are, how about an angsty turn fluff where Ominis finds you right after the last battle and comforts you after the realization of everything happening finally hits you and you break down. Like you've already realized that you're in love with him and don't want him to realize that you're crying but he can see through it right away.
My brain sort of stopped working halfway through this but here we goooo soppy love story.
The end and the beginning
Ominis Gaunt x reader
Fluff, 1k words
⚠️ SPOILERS ⚠️
Your head swam as the adrenaline pumped through your body, your breathing growing ragged from the physical exertion. The body in front of you was crumpled, bloody, crushed by your magic. You didn't feel remorse, but the sight was more than you thought you could bear in that moment, so you looked away and forced down the bile rising in your throat. The cavern was silent, the battle long over—the professors must have returned to the school to secure the building and protect the students inside, in the eventuality you were unsuccessful. There would be one missing, though—your mentor, Professor Fig. Tears welled in your eyes as you remembered the man, trying to push back the memory of his gruesome demise.
You needed to get back to Hogwarts—there was someone you needed to find. Like a child who sought their mother in times of dire need and emotional turmoil, you craved the presence of only one person. You walked as quickly as you could back along the rocky path, trying to ignore the pain in your leg—there would be time to visit the hospital wing later.
The castle was eerie, the corridors empty apart from a frantically running prefect who ignored you completely. You guessed the students had been sent back to their common rooms, so you headed down to the dungeons. By now your eyes were heavy and you wished you could simply sleep, but you didn't think the adrenaline would let you. You'd likely be ambushed by Professor Weasley at some point and made to retell your story, but you hoped for at least a few hours respite before that ordeal.
The common room was busy and loud, the chatter anxious. Upon entering the room, heads turned toward you with open mouths as the talking ceased, the silence stretching out uncomfortably. You were used to attention by now, but this was ridiculous. You didn't much care, carrying on your frantic scanning of the room until you recognised a familiar fluffy chestnut-brown head rushing toward you.
"Sebastian?" you said weakly as he pulled you into a tight embrace.
"The whole castle is talking, is Fig really dead?"
You nod solemnly.
"Sebastian…where's Ominis?"
You feel a warm hand on your bruised arm and turn to see Ominis standing behind your shoulder. Your heart flutters in your chest as you try to contain everything you want to say to him, the moment you realised when you came close to death that you were completely and utterly in love with him. You'd never imagined your own demise, let alone your very last thought, and it has surprised you how intensely the feeling had come.
You wanted to be alone with him, away from the prying eyes which all seemed to be focused on you. Ominis seemed to read your mind.
"Let's find somewhere quiet?" he asked.
You reply by taking his hand and leading him through the crowd of students toward the stairs and climbing them to the top and perching on the stone step on the landing. Ominis sat beside you and held your hand until you were ready to speak, his face a picture of worry. You wanted nothing more than to touch him and kiss him, to remind yourself that he was real and you were alive.
"I'll need to find the professors soon, they need to know that I'm okay…and it's over," you said with a shaky voice.
Ominis' hand tightened around yours.
"Are you okay, really? I can't tell if you're hurt."
"Nothing that can't wait. Ominis, Professor Fig is dead. I tried to…," you whisper.
"Don't blame yourself, please," he said.
His voice was so tender, you hadn't realised that he might have been worried about you. You had hoped that he felt the same but neither of you had ever broached the subject, preferring only to show a mutual respect for one another, ignoring the tension that rippled through the air whenever you were alone.
"I thought I was going to die," you said, trying to remain calm.
Silent tears fell from your face as you looked at Ominis. He was so beautiful, and your heart ached with longing. His hand found your head and cupped your face, stroking the tears away with his thumb. How had he known?
"Ominis…"
You were going into shock. Your hands were beginning to tremble, then your body started shaking uncontrollably as the tears fell more rapidly from your eyes. You were embarrassed to be showing your vulnerability in front of Ominis. You had intended to tell him how you felt, instead you were falling apart. He moved close to you, your legs pressed together and pulled you into his arms, burying your head against his neck as you tried to steady your tremors and control your breathing.
"You're alive. We're all alive thanks to you," he said, stroking your hair as your tears fell freely into his collar.
"Ominis," you sniffed, "I need to…tell you something."
"What is it?"
"I love you. It took me nearly dying to realise it, but I love you," you say with a nervous laugh.
"I love you, too."
The reply caught you off-guard, and you took a deep shuddering breath as you lifted your head to look at him, the tears stopping as suddenly as they had come on. You were so desperate to show him how you felt, it was overwhelming. You kissed him lightly on the cheek and he turned to meet you, locking lips with you with a force you hadn't expected. His hands were in your hair, his hold on you firm but not forceful as he kissed you deeply, telling you he felt the same without words.

That was so cute, funny and fluffy. I love it🫶🏻🥰🥹
hii I honestly really love your works and i really wanna read my imagination on a fanfic. So what if the reader just sleeps on sebastians bed, like they just returned after a long adventure then they had to research some of the stuff they found yada yada then the reader (fem if possible) just lays on his bed for a break but ends up sleeping there, next day she walks around hogwarts with sebastians smell and everyone just assumed they did the :)))) mc being flustered mess and tries to deny every accusations but sebastian just stands there smirking watching everything unfold.
dont ask why mc didn't shower (for story purposes pls)
Your wish is my command!
Not Helping (S.S)
I'm glad you enjoy! I might be posting the next fic a little late tomorrow, just so we know! Also, I put the reader into Slytherin, so she didn't have to sneak in, and also because Imelda needed a reason to embarrass the reader. Remember when Ominis spoke about having a toad? He's in here, like a little alarm clock <3 He's also tired of Sebastian, like always. Spot the fourth wall break too, here's a hint, it's not someone speaking, technically. I made a joke at myself lmao. Anyway, enjoy <3 (i listened to H.I.M the whole time i was writing)

You waved your hand, gesturing Sebastian to follow you as you crouched behind a table. He quickly tiptoed over to you, handing you the book he had snatched from one of the library’s shelves, smiling as you put it into your bag. You looked around as you searched for the door, motioning Sebastian to follow you as you hid behind a shelf. “So far, so good.” Sebastian whispered, smiling. You smiled back as you shook your head. “Don’t jinx it!” He shrugged as he continued to follow you through the maze of tables and shelves of books, checking behind him every now and then to make sure no one spotted the two of you from behind. You stopped, holding your arm out as Sebastian hit it, stopping as you pressed a finger to your lips. He nodded as he ducked lower, following your finger as you pointed to Peeves. The poltergeist floated down a row of shelves across from you, humming to himself. You waited until he had moved somewhere else, tugging on Sebastian’s sleeve as you began your escape again.
You breathed a sigh of relief as you quietly closed the door behind you, letting a yawn escape you. Sebastian smiled behind you, checking down the hall to see if there was anyone around. “Seems like we’re in the clear, let’s head back to the common room.” He whispered, walking down the hall. You nodded as you followed, reaching into your bag to take a look at the book you had taken. “What are your plans for this one?” You asked, studying the cover. It was about advanced potions, far more advanced than what you were studying now. He shrugged as he slowed down, walking beside you as he looked at the book in your hands. “Might be something of use in there, I didn’t exactly read it before snatching it, you know.” You shook your head as you placed the book back into your bag, yawning again as you turned down to another hall, the Slytherin common room at its end. “What time is it?” You asked, peeking out a window that you walked past. The stars hung in the dark sky, their bright glow unable to light the ground below them as the moon had disappeared, leaving the grounds of the castle invisible. Sebastian shrugged. “I didn’t take a look at the clock either, if that’s what you were hoping for.” You yawned again, watching Sebastian smile at you from the corner of your eye.
“Let’s not have late-night heists in the future, yeah?” You said, walking into the common room. Sebastian scoffed as he followed behind you, stretching his arms. “It can’t be that late. Perhaps you should get more sleep.” You shook your head as you walked over to the clock. “I would, if you stopped dragging me along to do Merlin knows.” You squinted at the clock, the room was dark, only a single fire in a hearth emitting light. You sighed as you brought your wand out, casting Lumos as you went back to studying the clock. “Sebastian!” You hissed, narrowing your eyes at him as he raised his hands in defense. “It’s past midnight! We have class in the morning, as we had Ominis promise to wait for us so he could find out what was in the book!” Sebastian walked over, grabbing your shoulder as he inspected the clock himself. “That can’t be right, we didn’t spend that much time there, did we?” You shook your head, sighing as you moved to make your way to Ominis’ and Sebastian’s dorm. “It doesn’t matter anymore, let’s brief Ominis and get to bed.” “Yes Ma’am.”
Ominis let out a frustrated sigh as the two of you walked into the room, arms crossed as he sat on his bed. “Took you two long enough, I figured you had gotten caught with how long you were gone.” He said, turning to the door. “Apologies, Ominis. Sebastian couldn’t figure out which book to pick.” You said, dropping your bag as you flopped onto Sebastian’s bed. Sebastian scoffed, reaching into your bag and pulling out the potions book, sitting down next to you as he flipped through the pages. “If you hadn’t been so scared of being caught, we would have been out earlier.” You shook your head as you rubbed your eyes. “Whatever you say, Sallow.”  Ominis let out another frustrated sigh as he threw a pillow, missing Sebastian as it hit you in the face. “Ominis! What was that for?” You said, picking up the pillow as you frowned. Ominis let a small smile grace his lips as he bowed his head slightly. “My apologies, I meant to hit Sebastian.” Sebastian, who had been quietly chuckling, quickly dropped his smile. “Hey! What did I do?” Ominis shrugged, accepting the pillow back from you as you walked back to Sebastian’s bed. “Just read something from the book, I want to go to bed soon.” You nodded in agreement, moving to the head of the bed and hiding under the covers as Sebastian flipped through the pages.
“It says here, one of the most effective anti-venoms is the Draught of Living Death Antidote. This potion is particularly useful in countering the effects of the Draught of Living Death, a powerful sleeping potion that can render a person unconscious for days or even weeks.” Sebastian read, skimming down the page. You huffed in amusement, closing your eyes as you pulled the covers closer. “I could use one of those.” “The antidote or the potion itself?” “Both.” Ominis chuckled as he shook his head, hearing the slightly groggy tone in your voice as you tried to hide another yawn. Sebastian sighed, flipping through the pages. “Polyjuice potion, Wolfsbane, we’re not Werewolves, so we don’t need that.” You sighed as he continued to talk, shutting your eyes as the warm blankets beckoned you to sleep. “Ah, here’s one.” Sebastian said, reading from another page. “The Draught of Peace, a powerful calming potion that can ease anxiety and stress.” Ominis sighed, laying his head against his pillow. “Could use that during O.W.Ls, if you needed it.” Sebastian nodded, reading further. “Except there’s a problem.” “What’s that?” “The potion requires a careful balance of ingredients, including powdered moonstone, syrup of hellebore, and a measure of powdered unicorn horn. What even is a hellebore?” Ominis shrugged, covering his mouth as a yawn escaped him. “Y/n, would you be able to ask Poppy what that is?” Sebastian asked, turning to you.
Soft snores escaped you as you laid in the bed, asleep. Sebastian frowned as he moved to look at your face, scrunching his nose in confusion. “How can you be asleep during this? This is good information!” You still didn’t respond, instead turning over in your sleep as you tried to get comfortable. “Ominis, she’s asleep! I haven’t even gotten far in the book yet.” Sebastian complained, watching Ominis as he too slipped under the covers. “I’m glad one of us is asleep. Perhaps we should pick this up later?” Sebastian scoffed, frowning as Ominis turned away from him. Sighing, he put the book back into your bag and looked over to you, unsure what to do. He couldn’t just kick you out of his bed and send you off to your own; not when you were already asleep. He bit the inside of his cheek as he furrowed his brows, slowly reaching his hand out to shake you awake.
You glared at him through heavy eyes, sniffling as you tried to bury your face into the blankets. Sebastian smiled softly as he leaned over to whisper to you. “I won’t make you leave, but could you perhaps move over? This is still my bed, you know.” You stared at him, pondering his request. You shivered slightly as you shrugged, scooting over for Sebastian as he slipped under the covers. You closed your eyes again as you shivered, biting the inside of your cheeks as you quickly moved closer to Sebastian, burying your face into his shoulder as you tried to get warm. “You can’t be that cold.” He whispered, smirking at you. You huffed in response, beginning to move away from him before he rolled over, wrapping his arms around you. “Don’t need you freezing.” You hummed quietly, nuzzling your face into his chest as you fell back asleep; warm and comfortable.
Sebastian slowly opened his eyes as sunlight poured through a window, yawning as he tried to blink away the sleep from his eyes. The room was quiet, save for the small snores escaping you and Ominis. Sebastian burrowed his face into your hair, finding you turned over with your back against him. He looked over at a nearby clock, squinting as he tried to read the time. You had about an hour until classes started. He pulled you closer as he stretched, squeezing you in an attempt to wake you. You groaned as you straightened your arms, a small yawn escaping you as you tried to go back to sleep. “It’s time to get up, we have classes soon.” He whispered, poking you in the cheek with his free hand. You shook your head, another yawn leaving you. “Not right now, perhaps a few more minutes.” You sighed, rolling over and burying your face into Sebastian again, hiding away from the light. Sebastian shook his head, looking over to where Ominis slept, light snores emerging from the bundle of blankets. “Fine, since we’re all still in bed, a few more minutes.” He sighed, closing his eyes as he tightened his arms around you.
Ominis shook Sebastian awake as he tried to fix his tie, waking both of you up as he shouted. “Get up! I can’t believe you, keeping us up so late and not even having the courtesy to wake us up on time!” You sniffled, sitting up as you rubbed your eyes. “Ominis? What time is it?” Ominis sighed as he reached for his bag. “Late! We’d be lucky if we made it to class!” You looked over at the clock, quickly jumping out of bed and searching for your shoes and bag. Sebastian sat there, confused. “How do you know what time it is?” Ominis glared in his direction, scoffing. “In case you hadn’t noticed, my toad likes to have his own schedule. He’s been croaking for food for maybe ten minutes, and I always feed him right before we leave.” You smiled as you hopped around, trying to get your other shoe on. “I don’t have time for anything! No shower, no breakfast! Sebastian! Get up!” You shouted, almost falling over. He nodded quickly, slipping out of bed, and looking around. “I slept in my robes? I suppose I don’t have to worry about that then.” He said to himself, shrugging as he went for his shoes. You quickly slipped your bag over your shoulder, tapping your foot as you and Ominis waited at the door. “I’m coming, hold on!” Sebastian sighed, rubbing his eyes as he picked up his own bag, walking over to you.
You quickly walked down the halls as you made your way to charms, following Ominis as he muttered to himself about Sebastian and his need to do things at such late hours. He quickly slipped into the classroom ahead, and you looked over to Sebastian as he yawned again. “Wait!” You whispered, grabbing his sleeve as you pulled him away from the door. “Can’t it wait? We’re right there.” He sighed, watching as you set your bag down. “Your tie! It’s a mess!” You said, quickly fixing it as you bit the inside of your cheek. Sebastian stiffened up, eyes wide as he watched you smooth out his robes and tie before nodding and pulling him into the classroom. You quickly took your seat next to Natty, smiling as she greeted you. Professor Ronen appeared just moments later, signaling the start of class.
You sighed as you rested your head in your palm, holding back a yawn as you ate. Sebastian sat beside you, picking at his food as he glanced over at you, smirking as you shivered. “Getting a cold?” He asked, causing you to furrow your brows as you looked over at him. “Beg your pardon?” He chuckled as he poked your side. “You were awfully cuddly last night, shivering and all that. I’m not a doctor, but if you got me sick, I would make sure you suffered with me.” You shook your head, grabbing your drink and taking a sip. “So that’s where you were last night!” A voice sounded behind you, causing you to choke on your drink in surprise. Coughing, you turned around, frowning. “Imelda? What are you talking about?” Imelda looked between you and Sebastian, smirking. “When you passed by on your way to one of your classes, you smelled an awful lot like your friend here.” She said, gesturing to Sebastian. “Sebastian here has a distinct smell, like some sort of potion that he bathes in. Stinks up the whole common room, he does.” Sebastian frowned as he turned to Imelda. “I do not stink! I just naturally smell this nice.” Imelda shook her head, turning to you as she poked you in the chest. “You smell just like him, you know. Didn’t smell like that yesterday.” You felt your cheeks heat up as you glanced around, your fellow housemates nodding in agreement with Imelda. “I still don’t understand, Imelda.” You said, shaking your head as you looked up at her. Imelda held her smile as she leaned closer to you. “You didn’t come back to the dorm last night; your bed was still empty this morning.” You heated up more as your eyes widened. You hadn’t thought about what Imelda and your other dormmates would think if you didn’t show up in your bed, and now it was coming back to bite you.
“What are you implying, then?” You asked, narrowing your eyes. Imelda shrugged nonchalantly, smirking down at you as she gestured to Sebastian. “What else is there to imply? Such a scandalous girl, you are. You’re not good at hiding it either.” Your eyes widened as your breath got caught in your chest, cheeks turning a bright red. “Imelda! That’s absolutely not what happened!” You shouted, shaking your head frantically. “Oh yeah? Then what else could it be? Because people don’t just smell like other people for no reason you know. Nor do they cuddle at night.” You stuttered as you tried to explain, looking over at Sebastian as he smirked into his drink. “We did not- why would you even suggest that? I only fell asleep while hanging out! It was nothing like that!” You smacked Sebastian’s shoulder, motioning for him to explain. He only shrugged, smirking. “You snore a lot, you know.” “That’s not helping, Sebastian!” Imelda smirked as you continued to stutter, crossing her arms as she nodded toward Sebastian. “Someone’s not denying it, so what’s your next excuse?” You frowned at Imelda, heart racing as you tried to clear up the misunderstanding. “Ominis was there! He was hanging out with us!” You said, pointing over to Ominis.
Ominis nodded as he chewed his food. “She’s right. We were looking at a book, Sebastian decided that he wanted to stay up late. She fell asleep first.” Imelda quirked an eyebrow, smirking at you. “Couldn’t do it with your friend around? Sorry Ominis, but there’s no other explanation. Perhaps you were fast asleep?” Ominis scoffed as he shook his head. “As if. Sebastian fell asleep before I did. You think something like that would happen right next to me? I’d hex both of them.” You nodded your head as you shared an awkward smile. “See? Nothing happened! Mind out of the gutter, Imelda!” She shook her head as she patted your shoulder. She leaned down and whispered into your ear, poking your side. “You’ll need a better excuse next time. I expect you back tonight to tell us all about it.” She walked away, leaving you with your mouth open as you tried to comprehend what had just happened.
“Sebastian! Look what you’ve done!” You whispered, swatting at his shoulder as he went for another bite of his lunch. He shrugged as he looked over at you. “I didn’t do anything.” “Exactly!” Ominis shook his head as he took a sip of his drink. “I mean it, you two.” Sebastian frowned, furrowing his eyebrows as he turned to Ominis. “Mean what, exactly?” “That I’ll hex you both if you tried something like that near me. My toad could use some friends.” “That’s not going to happen, Ominis!” “Not yet.” “Shut! Up! Sebastian!”

"Dialogue Alley" will start soon!
A series of blogs I will post which contains short or maybe even long dialogues with my favourite two Hogwarts Legacy characters Sebastian Sallow and Ominis Gaunt.
In my dialogues there will also be a own character of mine. It depends on which love story I'm working on. I created an own love interest for each of them.
Sebastian Sallow x Alessia Stormrose OC
Ominis Gaunt x Claire McKinnon OC
For those who wonder... I'm not that confident in writing whole chapters/oneshots in English, because English isn't my first language. I can speak, understand and reading it but I'm not that great in grammar. But I'm working on getting better in that as well. Because of that I decided to only write dialogues and not whole texts first. So I would still be able to share my stupid stuff with more people who are may or may not interested in the stuff I write.
For people who are able to understand/read German as well I will also post some stuff like chapters, oneshots and dialogues in German then in text form.
Thank you for reading till here. You received a digital hug from me🥰🫂

hi! i love all of your ominis fics - if your requests are open could you please write something about ominis being a parseltongue? like maybe the reader/mc loves snakes or maybe even has a little snake as a pet, and they think his ability his incredible.
(also just a fun concept: imagine the mc being a parseltongue as well, and they send each other messages through snakes)
1) Sorry this took so long
2) I kinda love it and want to make it a full-length fic??
Kindred spirits
Ominis Gaunt x reader
Fluff, 1.4k words
Ominis sat in the common room, trying his best to ignore Sebastian's constant whining about his new love interest. The new fifth year was certainly a distraction, and he was still fuming over their invasion of the Undercroft, a place that felt almost sacred to Ominis. Sebastian had never been one to think too much about anything, and Ominis worried about whatever the two were getting up to in their meetings alone. Sebastian sighed next to him and Ominis suppressed a smirk, when he heard a voice from near the arm of the sofa.
"Hello, nice to meet you," it said. It was unfamiliar, and different in a way he couldn't pinpoint.
"Are you talking to me?" Ominis said, tilting his head toward the sound.
"Yes."
"Who are you? Sorry, I don't recognise your voice," Ominis said.
"Ominis what the hell are you doing?" Sebastian said from beside him.
Ominis frowned at the stupid question.
"Talking to someone, obviously," Ominis said testily.
"Ominis, you're speaking Parseltongue," he replied quietly.
Ominis felt the sofa shift as Sebastian stood up and started shuffling around, presumably looking for the source of the mysterious voice Ominis had been talking to.
"I'm sorry, he doesn't usually venture down into the common room," another unfamiliar voice said.
Sebastian made a quietly disgusted noise.
"He's not dangerous, you know," the voice said, soft and quiet. Sebastian had obviously hurt her feelings.
"Doesn't have to be dangerous to be disgusting," Sebastian replied.
Ominis frowned at his friend's insensitivity. Whilst not the biggest fan of snakes, Ominis couldn't say he was disgusted by them. Quite the opposite, he had enjoyed many encounters with the creatures in his childhood, but his disdain for the association with dark wizards had led to Ominis avoiding using this particular inherited gift.
"Do be quiet, Sebastian. It's a snake, not a dugbog," Ominis said, pushing himself off the sofa.
Sebastian huffed and Ominis heard the swish of his cloak as he departed.
"Don't mind him, he's having girl trouble," Ominis said with a smile.
The voice giggled, an enjoyable musical sound.
"I never thought I'd meet another Parselmouth," she said as she introduced herself.
"It's quite the rarity, even by Slytherin standards. I'm Ominis, Ominis Gaunt," he said.
"Oh of course, I've heard about you…in passing. I suppose we wouldn't have met, being in different years," she replied.
"Well, I'm glad we're meeting now," Ominis said truthfully.
"I'd better return Caius to my dormitory before we get into trouble, but it was lovely to meet you, Ominis."
"Don't be a stranger."
"I won't."
-
You couldn't help but break into a wide smile as you head back to your bedroom, Caius wrapped around your arm. Ominis Gaunt. Of course you knew who he was, he might be a year younger than you but you'd admired him from afar ever since last Summer when you'd noticed he'd put on quite the growth spurt. His young face had matured into something you could only describe as hauntingly beautiful, with his almost pearlescent eyes and ivory skin. Your heart fluttered in your chest at the thought.
"I suppose I should thank you for the introduction," you said to your friend.
"Glad to be of ssservice," he responded.
-
Ominis found himself unusually distracted the following day, the unexpected encounter with who Sebastian had termed 'snake girl' was playing on his mind. As such, his performance in Potions was even more woeful than usual, turning his Wiggenweld potion into a thick paste exuding what could only be described as fumes of rotten egg.
"Something on your mind, Ominis?" Sebastian asked, knowingly.
"Nothing," Ominis lied.
"In all my years I have never seen you so affected by a girl," Sebastian jibed.
"You're one to talk," Ominis huffed.
"So we're both hopelessly afflicted. What are you going to do about it?"
Ominis wasn't sure—he had no experience wooing the fairer sex, and the thought of mimicking some of Sebastian's flirtatious nature was utterly laughable. He supposed he would have to find her again, get to know her. Find out if this was more than a mere passing fancy. He decided to find her at dinner—it shouldn't be hard if Sebastian could point him in the right direction.
His stomach turned over from more than mere hunger as he approached the Slytherin table in the great hall that evening. As it turned out, he didn't need Sebastian's help, as he heard the familiar melodic voice call him.
"Ominis!"
Sebastian patted him on the arm to say goodbye and he followed the voice.
"I was wondering if you wanted to join me? Sorry if that's presumptuous," she said shyly.
"I was hoping to find you, in fact," he said as they settled at the table.
The smell of the food did nothing to stir his appetite as his nerves had gotten the best of him. He helped himself to a small serving of pie and vegetables, but left the plate untouched as he turned his attention to his companion.
"How is Caius?" he asked.
"Fine, safe in the dormitory. He has free reign in there but some of the other students don't like him roaming the common room. Luckily my roommates aren't unnerved by him," she said.
"I can't imagine being unnerved by him," Ominis frowned at the irony of being sorted into Slytherin and being scared of snakes.
"I think it's the Parseltongue that freaks a lot of people out, honestly," she said quietly.
Ominis could understand that. He'd encountered many people in his life who found the language eerie or downright evil. The association with dark wizards had tainted their perception of it, including Ominis' own. He'd considered it a curse rather than a gift for years, now.
"But you disagree?"
"I love being able to talk to them, they're such beautiful and misunderstood creatures. Most people would jump at the chance to speak to their favourite animal."
Ominis nodded, he couldn't fault her logic.
"I know from experience just how strong the prejudice can be," Ominis muttered.
"Me too," she whispered.
Ominis smiled at the feeling of kinship, as he had the overwhelming urge to hold out his hand for her, but resisted the temptation. Instead he picked up his fork and began to eat, his nervousness abated by the friendly conversation.
-
Over the next few weeks you spent most of your free hours with Ominis, making up for lost time. Caius was pleased to have another human to talk to, and you'd taken him to Ominis' dormitory on more than one occasion. You talked about everything, learning about his family and his favourite subjects, his taste in food and his strange but endearing friendship with Sebastian, who was at least friendly toward you now.
One evening when you had returned to your bed, you noticed something missing. Caius. He must have slithered down to the common room again. Sighing, you head out of the door and come face to face with the serpent hanging from a light fixture.
"How did you get up there?"
"Ominisss," he replied.
"And what were you doing with him?"
"He wanted me to tell you something."
"Oh?" you said with a smile, your curiosity piqued.
"He said he misses your beautiful voice," Caius hissed.
You let out a loud and entirely unexpected giggle, nervously turning to see if anyone had heard you. You blushed furiously at the words as you unhooked the snake from the light and carried him back towards the bedroom, letting him slither onto the mattress.
"I'm going to find him," you said giddily.
"Good luck."
You head out of the door once again with a new route in mind, crossing the halls to the boys' dormitories. Thankfully, girls were deemed trustworthy enough to allow access to the boys' rooms, which was an amusing insight into the founders' attitudes. You knocked on the door and heard a voice telling you to enter.
Ominis sat on his bed, already in his pyjamas. He looked relaxed but strange in the casual outfit, and you briefly swept your eyes over his elegantly slim frame leaning against his headboard.
"I got your message," you said, making your way to the side of his bed and perching on the edge of the mattress.
"Oh?" Ominis smiled.
"I missed your beautiful voice, too," you said, leaning in and kissing him.

Tumblr media
You smiled as you swatted at Sebastian quietly, ducking behind a bookshelf as Peeves floated by. Sebastian only shook his head as he smiled back, quietly trying to put a book away that the two of you had taken from the restricted section the night before. You peeked around the corner, following the ghost with your eyes while Sebastian tried to find the next book he was after, muttering to himself as he read the spine of each book quickly. You watched as Peeves continued his rounds, clearly searching for Sebastian, who had a record of spending time after hours in the restricted section and loved fetching the librarian to watch her give Sebastian detention.
You jump slightly as Sebastian placed his hand to your back, nodding that he found what he was after and that it was time to go. You scanned the area once more as you quickly retreated to follow Sebastian, head hung low to stay hidden. He smiled back at you in triumph, waving the book in front of you as he walked. You shook your head as you closed your eyes for a moment. “Put it away, before someone sees it in your hand!” You whispered, smiling as you grabbed the sleeve of his robe. He scoffed quietly as he put it in his bag, turning to head down another row of shelves lined with books. “Peeves won't hang around too long, and by the time he finds us we’ll already be gone.” He whispered matter-of-factly. You shook your head once again, looking behind you to see if Peeves was anywhere nearby.
You sneaked around a few more shelves, Sebastian stopped a few times to look at some books, only moving when you poked him in the side. “We can’t stay here long, remember?” You whispered, taking the lead as you poked your head around a shelf, spotting the next route to take. You motioned for Sebastian to follow you as he sighed, putting a book back when you raised a brow. You quickly tiptoed across the room, stopping when you reached another shelf, turning to see if Sebastian had followed you. He did, of course, right behind you. He crashed into you, sending you to the ground with a thud as you gasped. Sebastian fell on top of you, eyes wide as he quickly placed his hand over your mouth. You glared up at him, his eyes apologetic as he quickly looked around. He sighed quietly as he slowly removed his hand from your mouth as the library stayed quiet. You sat up and moved from under him, dusting your robe as you narrowed your eyes at him.
“Are you serious?” You whispered, lightly swatting at him when he tried to help you up. “Why were you so close?” Sebastian raised his hands in defense, a slight blush to his cheeks. “To make sure you didn’t get caught?” He said, causing you to narrow your eyes. “How would that help? If someone saw me, they would have seen you right behind me!” Sebastian tried not to laugh as you scolded him, his lips tightening as he held back a smile. You furrowed your brows as you got to your feet. “What’s so funny? Do you want detention?” You asked, crossing your arms as he shook his head, a slight smile on his lips. “Of course not, but you have to admit, this is rather fun.” “Fun? You knocked me over.” “But I saved you.”
You sighed and shook your head as you turned away from Sebastian, feeling your cheeks heat up as you remembered that Sebastian had, in fact, landed on top of you, covering your mouth so you didn’t cry out when you hit the ground. “Wouldn’t have had to do that if you paid attention.” “Attention, attention! Attention is right! What a sight, two students sneaking in the library at night!” You groaned as you closed your eyes, slowly turning around with tight lips as you were met with Peeves. Sebastian quickly shook his head as he tried to talk to Peeves. “Not sneaking! Can’t you rest for a night?” You shook your head as you brought a hand to pinch the bridge of your nose, sighing. “A rest? Why rest when there are students sneaking around! Perhaps you will pay more attention, in detention!” Sebastian yelled after Peeves, who disappeared as he went to fetch the librarian. “Come back, you damn poltergeist!”
You shook your head as you watched Sebastian search for a place to hide. “Whatever you’re planning, you know it won't work.” You said, crossing your arms. Sebastian looked back at you, glaring as he raised his arms, gesturing around him. “Well? Do you have any ideas? She’s going to be here any moment to send us off, and then we’ll have to spend the time we had in detention instead of something far more important.” You pinched the bridge of your nose as you sighed, whispering. “We wouldn’t be in this situation if you had paid attention, remember? This is on you.” He scoffed, walking over to you. “I’m not covering for you again! You still owe me from last time.” You nodded, biting the inside of your cheek. The sound of hurried footsteps began to surface, no doubt from the heels of the librarian as she followed Peeves. “I’ll pay my debt to you now then, but if you even try anything I will personally toss you to Peeves, got it?” Sebastian furrowed his brows in confusion as the steps grew closer.
“Pucker up, lover boy.” You whispered, grabbing his collar, and planting your lips onto his as the librarian turned down another aisle. Sebastian tensed up at the sudden intimacy, but quickly wrapping his arms around you to deepen the kiss; unsure if your idea was to have a random make out session in front of the librarian, who had yet to turn down to where the two of you were. You closed your eyes as you felt his soft lips against your own; the slight taste of butterbeer lingering on his lips reminded you about what you had done before you decided to sneak around the library, a nice trip to Hogsmeade. Your cheeks heated up as you realized that you hadn’t actually thought the plan through, only getting as far as you were now, unsure how to continue.
Sebastian smiled into the kiss, taking over as he peeked through his lashes, finding the librarian glare at the two of you from across the room, stomping over to the two silhouettes she saw. He ran his fingers through your hair as he continued to kiss you, smirking as the librarian gasped, turning away from the two of you when she was close enough to see what was happening. “Mr. Sallow! As glad as I am that you are not stealing from my shelves again, must you get so handsy with another student in my library?” You chuckled as you hid your face from her, burying it in his shoulder as he gasped for air, red in the face as he stuttered to her. “Sorry! Won’t happen again, I promise!” She sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose, turning away as she left. “Please leave. If you must snog with another student, please do it somewhere more private.” “Yes Ma’am.”
Peeves floated above the two of you, frustrated that he didn’t get you in trouble. “Free to go, you are. Sneaky, very sneaky. Next time, then.” And with a smile, Peeves disappeared. You kept your face buried in Sebastian’s shoulder; face hot in embarrassment as you tried to catch your breath. Surprised that your plan actually worked, you were unsure what to do next as you stood in his embrace, listening to his breathing as he chuckled. “Amazing. I can’t believe that worked!” He breathed, his heart beating at a fast pace from the excitement. You nodded slowly, clearing your throat as you removed yourself from his grasp, fixing your robes as you avoided eye contact. You looked around, breathing heavily as you looked for the exit, quickly moving to the door. “Wait up, y/n!” Sebastian said, following you out of the library.
“How did you know that would work?” Sebastian asked, walking down the hall next to you as you continued to try to calm your heart. You shrugged, staring at the ground as you walked. “I didn’t. Figured we’d still get scolded, actually.” Sebastian scoffed as he smiled at you, grabbing your arm. “So, you decided to kiss me, not knowing if it would work or not?” You shook your head frantically, stuttering. “No! That’s not what I meant!” Sebastian smirked as he watched your flustered face, trying to explain the logic behind what you did. You glared at him, crossing your arms as you tried to cool your cheeks as your thoughts raced. “What? Are you going to say something dumb?” You said, puffing out your cheeks as you turned away, unable to look at Sebastian’s face after the ordeal. He chuckled as he moved closer, grabbing your arm to turn you to him.
“I can say that I appreciate it, getting out of detention.” He said, smiling at you. You felt your cheeks heat up even more at the closeness. “I can also say, I wouldn’t mind do that more often.” Your eyes widened as your heartbeat faster. “What, sneak into the library? We already do that enough.” You said, trying to play off what you thought he meant. Sebastian’s smile grew as he watched you, shaking his head. “I was mainly talking about that stunt you pulled, after you said that was you repaying me.” You chuckled slightly as your cheeks grew even hotter, glancing up at Sebastian. “I said not a word about it.” You pouted, playfully glaring at him. He shook his head, shrugging. “I think we could make that normal occurrence, if you wanted.”
You sighed, glancing around the hall and back to Sebastian. You quickly placed a kiss to his lips, feeling him smile as he wrapped an arm around your waist. You lightly tapped his cheek before you parted from him, giving him a smile. “Keep quiet about it and maybe you’ll get more.” “Absolutely.”

I love it so muuuuch!!!! 🫠😍🫠😍🫠😍
hi~ I don't know if your requests are open, but I really like your writing !!
I had this idea about the f/gn!MC x Ominis where they show the the Room of Requirement to the Slytherin boys as an alternative secret place to spend time. Especially and firstly showing it to Ominis as they still feel kind of guilty after the first visit to the Undercroft without warning him and lying about finding it by accident. Aaand because the Room is something very special and secret to them that they wish to share with him because they have a crush but can't admit it yet. And just how they wander around together and visit vivarium with all the animals and cozily chill there,,, and maybe have some private time to understand their feelings better,,,,,,, just this awkwardness of untold but mutual feelings in a magical little place and then The Understanding and 😖🤍
Fanart idea: Ominis cuddling a puffskein 🥺
Sanctuary
Ominis Gaunt x reader
Fluff, 1.3k words
The Room of Requirement had been your sanctuary for months, but today was the day you decided to share your secret. Against the express wishes of Professor Weasley, you had invited Ominis to the seventh floor corridor, citing a desire to repay him for your intrusion of the Undercroft.
"After making me climb all those stairs I hope there's a good reason," Ominis said, panting slightly.
"There is, I promise," you said, closing your eyes and picturing the room—your room—in your mind.
The wall rumbled as the door shimmered into view, the ornate detailing snaking its way through the stonework. Ominis had turned towards the sound with a frown.
"Hogwarts has more secrets than the Undercroft," you smiled cryptically. "Come with me."
Ominis followed you as you pushed open the door, stepping into the large atrium. You had spent so many hours here, even slept here on occasion, decorating it to your tastes and laying it out practically for your schoolwork. The warm golden sun poured in through the ceiling, illuminating your plants in the centre potting tables as the cauldrons at the potions station bubbled away softly. Ominis stood just inside the door, taking in the ambience, and you waited for his reaction.
"Where are we?"
"It's called the Room of Requirement, or the Come-and-Go room. It takes the shape of whatever you need it to, and I needed a place to catch up on my studies. It's…expanded a little since then. Can I…give you a tour?" you ask nervously.
Ominis nodded and held out his hand. "I'd like that."
You placed his hand on your forearm and led him to the potting table, steering clear of the venomous tentacula, describing all the plants you had raised. Ominis' hands glided over the Dittany and Mallowsweet, pinching the leaves in between his fingers and breathing in the syrupy scent with a small smile on his face.
"No wonder you're so advanced in Herbology, I'm a little jealous."
"You're welcome to come here whenever you'd like," you said a little too quickly.
Ominis' smile widened and you blushed and looked away, walking over to the potions station.
"What are you brewing?" Ominis asked.
"Mostly Wiggenweld but occasionally Edurus and Focus potions," you replied, peering into a cauldron at the bright green healing potion.
You looked back at Ominis and noticed that his eyebrows were knit together.
"Should I be concerned that you regularly need a stash of healing and defensive potions?" he asked.
The hand on your arm tightened its grip on you and his thumb ran over the material of your robe. The gesture made your heart skip a beat as you looked up at him.
"Nothing I can't handle. Come on, I haven't shown you the best part."
"There's more?" he asked, laughing.
"Much more," you said, leading him through the arched glass door of your central vivarium.
You squinted into the hazy sunshine, peering over the meadow towards the tree line and spotted a group of kneazles. Mooncalves were playing happily near the crystal water and the puffskeins were rolling around merrily in the wildflowers in front of you, chirruping softly. Ominis took a sharp breath, his mouth agape.
"Sit with me?" you asked tentatively.
Ominis knelt down, running his fingers through the blades of grass before sitting with his legs crossed, tilting his head towards the sun.
"I won't pretend to understand the magic involved, but it is fantastic," he said.
"The room just knew I needed somewhere to keep magical creatures safe from poachers."
"Creatures?"
His question was apparently a cue for your more exuberant puffskein to make an appearance—Puck, the little brown and white ball of fur had rolled over to his feet and was frantically trying to climb onto his lap. Ominis recoiled at the intrusion, pushing him away and holding him at arm's length.
"It's just a puffskein," you said, giggling at the sight.
"Yes, I can feel the tongue," he replied, flinching as Puck lapped at his face.
"I think he likes you, Ominis."
"I'm not sure the feeling is mutual," he said, though his lips were upturned in an unmistakable smile as Puck succeeded in rolling into his lap. "I'm sure Sebastian wasn't too keen on being slobbered on either."
"I haven't shown this place to Sebastian," you replied, biting your lip.
Ominis lazily stroked the furry ball in front of him with a smile on his lips, as you lapsed into silence, enjoying the sounds and smells of the meadow.
-
Ominis had been spending more and more time in the Room of Requirement, with and without you. He told you that he found the place intellectually stimulating and an educational opportunity though you thought this wasn't strictly true—whilst he was interested in your potions, plants and beasts, he seemed to enjoy spending his time sitting in the wildflower meadow with Puck, reading and lazily stroking the affectionate puffskein.
For reasons you couldn't quite articulate, you hadn't shown Sebastian your secret yet, which was slightly unfair, you had to admit. The opportunity to come clean came a few weeks later, when Sebastian came pacing into the common room looking agitated.
"Have you seen Ominis?" he said, running a hand through his hair.
"No, maybe he's in the Undercroft?" you replied, looking up from your book.
"I just came from there. I need to find him, it's urgent," he said, his dark eyes fixed on you.
You sighed, closing your book. "I think I know where he might be."
Sebastian followed you to the deserted corridor, raising an eyebrow and watched you close your eyes. He jumped back as the door revealed itself, staring in wonder at the previously blank wall.
"Huh. I thought I had you all figured out, Hogwarts," he muttered.
You could tell he was irritated that you'd kept this place a secret from him, but he was soon distracted by the wonder of the room as soon as he stepped inside.
"What is this place?" he asked, awestruck.
"Somewhere Professor Weasley told me not to show anyone," you smirked.
"And yet here Ominis is," he said.
You blushed and shrugged apologetically. "He's probably in there," you said, pointing to the large vivarium.
You left the two boys to their business, walking around the potting table and inspecting the plants, snipping off leaves and carrying them over to your potions station. Your latest batch of Wiggenweld was ready for decanting. You'd just finished pouring the last of the liquid into a glass bottle when the vivarium door swung open and Sebastian and Ominis stepped out.
Sebastian glanced between you and Ominis, then tore his gaze away to sweep the room one last time before walking towards the door to the castle.
"I'll expect a tour another time," he said with a smile.
You gave him a small wave and turned to Ominis, who was leaning against the potting table.
"Do I want to know what urgent business he had with you?" you asked, perching next to him.
"Is that what he told you? I suspect he just wanted to know where I've been disappearing off to," he replied with a smile.
You snorted and shook your head. "I was going to show him, soon. I just wanted to show you first. Do you think this makes us even for me intruding on your Undercroft?"
"You didn't intrude, not really," he said.
"Really? Because I recall you threatening to have me expelled," you said, only meaning to tease him but he looked down and frowned.
"I apologise for that day. That was needlessly unkind," he replied, his hand sliding along the edge of the table to find you.
You took his hand and he laced his fingers between yours and smiled.
"You're forgiven," you whispered, laying your head on his shoulder.

That gives me a kinda good idea for a little story. You're totally amazing!!
Ominis isn’t particularly fond of being a Parselmouth. It’s not that he dislikes having the ability to speak to snakes. It just reminds him of his family. But I do think that Ominis would have a fondness for snakes.
Due to the Gaunts being Parselmouths and Parseltongue being spoken almost exclusively amongst each other, there are typically snakes on the property, so Ominis grew up around them. I imagine he was quite lonely as a child, being the only one in his immediate family that viewed the world the way he did, so I have a feeling he likely talked to the snakes a lot. In a way, they were his friends. He felt he could understand them and they could understand him.
Snakes were not these creatures to be feared, they weren’t creepy, they weren’t aggressive, they weren’t evil… they were just trying to survive, trying to go about their lives, just as he was at the time. We know in canon that Ominis hadn’t used Parseltongue much or at all since beginning at Hogwarts, but I bet snakes still hold a special place in his heart and I bet he looks back on the snakes he grew up around quite fondly.

"Heh … if only you knew how clearly one sees someone's true nature when being blind. It's rare to find someone that shows me that beauty can be found in the most unexpected ways … if your physical self matches that of your person … Then it saddens me I won't ever see it…"
ElevenLabs is truly a gem when you want new dialogues for gaming tributes (and after being friends with Sebastian for so long, I imagine he's quite the flirt too).
I got the idea for this quote after I replied to that YouTuber.
UPDATE; Second version, and the one I prefer
