Peculiar… It was extremely rare for someone to cross the threshold of his property without him knowing or sensing them. And his hounds did not pick up on this one either.

Even more peculiar, his magic did not betray his guest to have a pulse. No blood flowed in his veins. Unliving… He recalled his encounters with some of them during his voyages to the Shadow Isles.

Standing straight after the greeting motions, Vladimir continued with a smirk, “If I did mind, would that have stopped you?”

"No." He states simply. "But if they are pissing me off, particularly with their behavior in the lantern... I shake the lantern up really hard, and lift the top of the vessel to my mouth, and pour a third of the contents of the lantern into my mouth."

"You ever felt several thousand souls squirming around on your tongue? It's like eating a live octopus. They cling to you. Thrashing, squirming, fighting... They know if I swallow, they will meet the end of their soul burning in the pit of my stomach. They know if I don't put them back in the lantern, they will seep into the dirt and never know peace. I like to feel them struggle a little."

"Then I spit them on the ground." Thresh chuckled a little. "Then after a bit I scoop them back up. Might lose a few, but, ah well, what's a few lost souls to me at this point?"

"With that in mind, I expect them to behave themselves when I throw my lantern out..."

A devil's laugh erupts from him. Like a dog's bark. Sharp and staccato. The serum in his body is so unnecessary, he thinks, he would respond this way in any other scenario.

"Everyone will hurt you, fool. It only takes the right opportunity... Should a man be tortured and held under duress, their love and happiness crumbling around them... they will tell me anything in exchange for mercy. I have seen men give up their lovers, their children, their own infants, just to spare themselves pain. Nobody will protect you. That is the truth. So why would I bother?"

"I don't need friends. Just allies. You can be on my side, but nobody will ever be my friend. I will not be vulnerable to anyone ever again. Viego saw to that long ago..."

Truth Serum: Now that you are unbound from the Shadow Isles, do you have a favourite location to visit in Runeterra or are you just going wherever your whims take you?

"Oh... Demacia of course. The torture and humiliation they subject their people too... its electrifying!" He laughs loudly about it. "They imprison babies, you know? In the mage prisons... Just because the little infant was caught levitating. The baby might not even be a mage, it might be a mage that was fucking with them -- but off it goes. Into a prison cell. You couldn't make that up..."

"They are going to execute the mother for trying to free her baby from a prison cell... I'm certain I'll be attending. They will probably do their round of torturing and subjecting her to public torture. I imagine Demacians will throw rocks at her..."

"Such insane and debased behavior... why it reminds me of home." He chuckled lowly. "I have other locations I intend to visit, but I do believe Demacia will continue to be my vacation home."

What did you hope to gain from helping begin the Ruination?

He stares down at the serum vial. "You would subject me to such a drug to ask such a mundane question?" Thresh rolled his eyes. "I only intended to gain my freedom. If I have to elaborate, I was interested in possibly trapping Viego in the lantern... but only because he was annoying me."

"The rest of what you dubbed the "Ruination" didn't matter to me. I don't know how many died and I certainly don't care. Just be grateful I was able to walk free without as many deaths as there could have been..."
