“I mean I am all for it I just didn’t expect that.” Shifts. “Uh. You sure?”
I am bored and lonely. Entertain me inkspill.
Do you wish to engage in combat?

An awkward side-glance was offered to the lich from Thresh as he tried to handle the books as carefully as possible. Which wasn’t exactly that careful. Wicked claws still managed to mar the covers.
“...Yeah.” A huff left Thresh as he shifted aside awkwardly so that Karthus may help.
Only to nearly knock over another pile of books.
Looks at knocked over pile. Kneels and tries to fix quietly.
The lich laid a gentle hand upon Thresh’s large and broad back.. before he knelt by his side. “Together, dear.” He whispered. One by one, he began to collect the books. Placing them together. It didn’t really matter how they were sorted, he would not allow Thresh to do it alone.
He already looked guilty enough.
“It is not your fault, you are tall.. big.. more than I will ever be.”

That doesn’t sound good. Don’t do something regrettable or stupid.
How ya been handling yourself, inkboy?
Humans die more swiftly then I realized. I thought I’d have more time.

That unfortunately seems to happen. Could say that you just gotta get ready for ‘it’ but even if you do, you’re never ready. You’ll be fine, bud. It may just take a long while.

Daddy how do I get to be as cool as you

The old Warden didn’t really understand Karthus’s concern. Had he had a nightmare or something recently that had gotten under his skin? Usually Thresh could go about his business without Karthus worrying. He scratched his ‘chin’ absently.
“I do, I guess. But it doesn’t matter, really. I don’t get hurt that bad or that often, so I don’t see the problem here.” he murmured.
Sure, he got violent. Sure, he got into fights more than enough, and got carried away, but a few scratches or a stab wound or two wouldn’t put Thresh down, that was for sure. A low rumble eventually left the massive Warden.
“Fine. Fine. I’ll be careful.”
A low mumble. He felt like he was being babied - by someone significantly younger, no less. He knew Karthus meant well, but sometimes it baffled Thresh, the way Karthus treated him.
"My dear, I know you are concerned for my well being; however, I insist on going with you." [mobile w00]
“You are needed here, at the Isles. Not at my side when I am working.” His voice came solid, and harsh. “You have things you must do and tend to here. The other’s need some sense of guidance and you’re the only one who can provide any worth while. Stay.” Thresh huffed, his arms folding across his broad chest.
He understood Karthus’s desire to help, and to be by his side - he knew Karthus was not worthless or weak, but he also knew that Karthus had a duty to uphold here, and his powers would be needed here should anything happen. It wasn’t like Thresh wasn’t used to doing work and missions alone - even the more life-threatening ones.
He didn’t need Karthus with him. It wasn’t necessary. Not to mention…the last thing he would want is Karthus to get hurt while they were working.
