So me and my friends were talking, how would you guys feel if DNC was made as a healer for next xpack? Because back in XI they had healing abilities when they built up enough TP or were the right level and was basically a buff class like BRD. It would be cool to have a Healing class that can heal through doing damage like what MW monk used to do back in MoP

Dude MW monk was fun, it’d be cool is dancer worked similarly as a melee dps/heal/support mix. Honestly the only thing I wouldn’t think sits DNC was if it was made an evasion tank or straight melee dps without much support abilities.

Seeing that post with the Awful AST makes me remember why I dual heal with my husband in 24 man raids. He mains SCH and my secondary is AST (Main being MNK) and we heal together so that he has a competent healer along with some communication with his co-healer. It just hurts to see other ASTs completely shit on SCH players.

It really does, to be honest. As someone who went through the whole Arcanist stigma of 2.0-2.2 and also is a main AST, I feel like everytime I see an AST being a complete tool about their stances with a SCH co-healer, I’m personally attacked. Like, it’s not hard to switch to Diurnal and heal that way. I really have to question. Do they just not know how to heal with regens instead of shields? Do they not know that regens actually make up for the damage prevented? For the potency lost? Because they do. And Regens+Shields is more damage prevented/recovered and more MP saved. That has always been the dual healing meta. 

Why do ya’ll think the optimal healing duo pre-3.0 was SCH+WHM and not WHM/WHM or SCH/SCH? It’s not just because SCH could effectively be a 5th DPS. No. It’s because of how well shields and regens worked when used cooperatively together. AST should be the same, too and only better because they can be either a shielder or a regen mage and thus can still bring that dynamic to the party no matter what their co-healer is. THAT is the advantage of AST. Not their fucking sect you noobs think is better than an ENTIRE CLASS. Fuck outta here--

Alisaie: It depends who she CONSIDERS family. Literally, V’ashir is her only known related family member left, and even so, she’s weary of him at times. V’ieh considers most of the Oathsworn and her Squad (Malashae, Vasi’li, Valaryn, Ganvachir, even Valadron if he came back) her family. She would go to very great lengths to ensure their safety even if she sometimes acts like she doesn’t give a shit about any of them. She’s opened her home up to them, unpaid, though she’s financially struggling to maintain her property as a single homeowner, and she’s, in the past, procured shady work to make sure the Oathsworn were well off in the Goblet and that people wouldn’t come to harm any of her Oathsworn family.

Papalymo: This one is difficult because there’s been phases in her life where the answer seems more clearer to her than others. For a long while when they had met, it was Ferathir, and she was very sure of it then. They swore their Oath to one another and eventually went on their way, but then she met Hiro, who taught her all of her Ninjutsu and defensive maneuvers, and fell in love very fast with him, and when he was killed (by her rather, without her knowing), she was so devastated she figured that bond was just solidified now, and then she met Xehn’a who she thought she was sure she was going to marry, and then she mended things with Ferathir, and then she met her Squad, but then she also met Raizoh, who’s completely a photocopy of V’ieh. She can’t verily pinpoint ONE person. The whole choice to her is anything but a vapid decision, but if she had to place it on one singular person, it would be @Ferathir, because no matter how many times she manages to frustrate, disobey him, or just try to stir the pot of past drama, he still manages to find love for her in his heart, and she reciprocates. She wouldn’t be alive to this day if it weren’t for Ferathir.
