Hunting season again. It must be the sunshine... Always with the attention seeking bright colour contrast and the high pitched noise. Look a solitary one, easier to approach than when in company. I can always sense when they're near. There's one! Next to the window.. I gather the restraints. Slowly, slowly , closer . quarry has moved to a different window. Carefully, must not cause scare. For now, later on it will not matter. Closer, one hand brings up the first restraint, its clear. Now! There, first one in place, no escape now. Where I go, you go. Bring up the second restraint.. There! capture complete! You're in my domain now, I come to the taps, turn them on and put the plug in.. Does the prey know what's coming? Certainly a change in behaviour, head turning this way and that, legs flailing, seeking some purchase to be free of the restraints.

Now, into the water...

Reorient the prey, allow the water to do its work...

Legs really going now.

What it it?

3 months food, 3 days water, three minutes oxygen..

Lynda Carter and chorus perform a 1930s movie medley in her fifth television special entitled Body and Soul, originally broadcast by CBS on March 16th, 1984. Re-imagined in a 1980s “New Wave” musical style, song excerpts featured in this medley included the classics Top Hat, White Tie and Tails, Let’s Face the Music and Dance, Steppin’ Out with My Baby, Fascinating Rhythm, Cheek to Cheek, 42nd Street, Rhapsody in Blue and Lullabye of Broadway. The special was nominated for three Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lighting Direction, Outstanding Technical Direction/Camerawork and Outstanding Art Direction for a Variety or Music Program. Lynda was executive producer of this special, with Pete Menefee and Diana Eden handling costume design duties and Lynda’s previous Emmy-winning choreographer Walter Painter staging the dance numbers.

Tonight I gave Art Spiegelman the National Book Awards Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters. And we're both being banned. Some of you may think this is a good thing because you don't like my books or you don't care for Maus. But I guarantee that there are books you love on the banned lists too. That's why libraries and librarians fight for their rights to have all the books on the shelves and for your rights to read them. And it's why I support them.
