Sesame ginger strip steak with seared green beans over white rice, topped with sesame seeds and green onion.
It was absolutely saucey, and I loved it. I haven’t cooked beef in a while, but this was just the sort of hearty brunch I needed! I’d love to remake this with jasmine white rice, and maybe play around a bit more with letting the savory elements of the sauce shine. The soy sauce, garlic, and ginger were slightly overwhelmed by the amount of brown sugar I added in.
Nonetheless it was a pretty good meal! The steak (with the help of cornstarch) was incredibly juicy, albeit of an interesting texture. I might have added too much cornstarch but I can’t be positive on that. Overall this was an incredibly fun recipe to make!

Peach & Burrata pizza with a pesto base, extra dollops of peach preserves, a light dusting of red chili pepper flakes, and balsamic vinegar!
I have deeply missed cooking! It’s easy to get caught up in the realities of life, and the pure exhaustion of balancing work and home duties. However, I really want to continue expanding my cooking and baking experiences! Even a failed dinner is a good learning experience, and I want to consistently try and challenge myself. Sometimes it works! :)

It’s been a while, but ya girl made a sushi bake! Imitation crab, salmon and cream cheese topped with kewpie mayo, furikake, and furikake seasoned rice on bottom of the salmon/crab spread!
It took me like 2 hours and it’s my first time using sushi rice! I definitely added too much water 😅 but it held up! Ate it with spicy mayo and seaweed!

It’s been a long while since I tried to make something a bit more exciting than a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, or warmed up leftovers. I’m happy to say though, that this was delicious. Made some papa and soyrizo tostadas, and topped it with a chili oil fried egg, avocado, queso fresco, and Cholula. Tasty and filling’

My attempt at the momofuku milk bar pie! Delicious and very very rich! The crust was a tad crumbly, so perhaps more butter was needed. Concerning the pie itself, it was my best shot with a Clearance stand mixer, but still definitely a recommendation! The Recipe is found on the milk bar store website! Additionally, I couldn’t find the corn powder for the filling, but I added cornstarch and it seemed to be an okay substitute!
The crust is an oatmeal cookie crust that was ground in the food processor with MORE brown sugar, and the pie filling itself was very much similar to an okey gooey butter cake, with the egg yolks making it rich and dense, tasting primarily of brown sugar and vanilla!

A great breakfast with refríed beans, eggs cooked with salsa verde, and tortillas. Not pictured is the hot sauce I ate with this! As for the beans, some egg got In there too high accounts for the white and yellow particles inside!
This has been my go-to breakfast as of late! Even if it’s eaten at 3 am!

Made a lemon meringue pie! Came out pretty good but the meringue texture was different than expected!

A little late, but the Christmas cranberry cheesecake I made was a hit! The tartness bit into the overly sweetness of the crust and whipped cream, but overall I loved baking it, and definitely want to try making more types of cheesecakes in the future!

It’s been a long semester, but I’ve dove right back into cooking with Christmas around the corner. For brunch, I indulged into creating some Thai basil beef and coconut lemongrass rice! The jasmine rice was surprisingly fluffy for how I usually make it! And the lemongrass flavor was absolutely delicious! I got hungry around 10 pm and made some chilaquiles with red salsa, an egg, and some cheese I had laying over. Sadly it wasn’t true to form, I would have preferred salsa verde and white cheese, and possibly crema oaxaqueña, but nonetheless hit the spot for a post workout dinner!

My mom is on a gluten free diet so I tried making this cauliflower rice and Korean beef dish. It was fun! The rice was soft and soaked up the flavor from the beef, which was nice and slightly crisped!

Tiramisu! I let it soak up the flavors overnight! It was pretty good in my opinion! Creamy, notes of espresso when I hit the lady fingers in the bites, a 10/10 and it wasn’t as difficult as expected to make!

Meal for supper was not up to par so I was feeling kinda down!! :(. To cheer myself up (and actually eat a meal) I made a late night goat cheese, carmelized onion, and bacon omelette! Delicious!

Sesame seed chicken with jasmine rice! I have to say, soaking the rice does increase the fluffiness!

These weekend bakes include a chocolate cake with a chocolate espresso buttercream (that became a mousse like texture somehow) and a Levain bakery copycat recipe for their famous chocolate chip cookies!!! So much fun! And work!
