okie-- imagine This is Modern AU -no plagas nor anything abnormal... so at first, Leon was forced to go to this y/n's concert with some friend at work, he didn't pay much attention at first cus he didn't care. However, once when you took the stage, he couldn't take his eyes off you??? Did you put some sort of spell on him?? Why was his heart beating so fast?? And this is the point where there was no way turning back...

He looked up all the information he could find, initially starting off simple, such as public profile-- where your agency provided. Maybe he watched all your videos??

For him, this was not enough, not nearly.

Since he was a police officer of the Raccoon Police Department, he began to illegally exploit his privileges by searching your record up..

He knew all by his heart that it was wrong! but for your safety's sake! He must protect you from all the bad people that were jealous of you!! Thus, you'd understand, right? if you'll find out that he was always watching you through that door...

Leon would be “denial is not a river in Egypt”. Even if he’s become King of all, he’s still believed that his darling was just fall as sleep💁🏻‍♀️ And he won’t allow anyone touching his.

In other scenarios if he’s not that denial, I think he would find a way to bring his beloved back. He’s a king after all. The world was under his feet so he could find at its finest resources. If his darling resurrected as human but had amnesia? That’s good anyway cus we can make a good memory again! If they resurrected as plagas! just like him? That’s also perfect! Then we can rule the world together..!

So, in my opinion Leon, no matter circumstance, would be in stage of denial 100%.
