TIL Friends was created by a woman and a gay man. I'm like whaaaaat? 😳 While it was really progressive when it comes to talking about lesbians and having lesbian characters, it sadly didn't seem to lend the same sensitive ear towards gay men. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for all the hints that Chandler may be bisexual or completely in the closet and gay, and all the moments between him and Joey and their love of one another, I just wish it hadn't been played as such a joke. 😢

okay but what if chandler actually ended up being gay? or at least bi?

imagine him pining after roomate and best friend joey for y e a r s, and during the whole monica and chandler fiasco joey shyly confesses that he’s actually been pining after chandler as well the whole time??

and they end up together but still in the closet cause chandler’s just not there yet and joey?? isn’t gay but he’s got the hots for chandler. and the show is just chandler and joey getting through a beautiful relationship struggling with fear and sneaking around and dealing with their sexuality together with their friends and all of that mixed up with sarcasm and soft boys expressing emotions and!!!!

suddenly joey starts sleeping all night in chandlers room and stops returning back to his room in the early morning because he’s trying to deny his feelings. and chandlers still a sarcastic little shit but he has this fond and soft look on his face whenever he teases joey. when joey leans back on the couch in central perk he makes sure his arm is at least grazing chandlers back!!!!
