You don't have to like weed but I find people who are vehemently anti-weed but claim to be left leaning infuriating. If you go into a rage because you smelled someone smoking pot, how the fuck do you expect to form community with people addicted to meth? It's easier to say you hate smokers than to say you hate all drug users in leftist spaces because one makes you sound a bit like a square while the other is the writing on the wall. You aren't anti-weed, you're anti-drug user and anyone who uses substances is not safe around you.

Sometimes I think about campaign 2 of critical role and I get so overwhelmed by how much love there is there. I don’t necessarily mean the hard won live of the mighty nein as a party, or the empire kids, or Jester and Fjord, or Caleb and Essek, or Beau and Yasha, although they all do matter. I mean, Sam writing a song for Ashley when she left to film blind spot. I mean CR entering their own new studio space part way through filming. I mean how so much of my college memories are rooted in late nights on Thursday, hunched over my laptop in my dorm room in the dark. I mean how over and over the story said we can’t do much but we get to care about each other. We get to try and do the next thing that matters to us. I mean Fjord changing his voice, both times out of love: first for Vandren, and then for himself. I mean Caduceus stepping in to a wounded party and asking how to help. I mean Twiggy getting the nat20 on a dragon. I mean when the whole world shut down and this group of nerdy ass voice actors playing dnd was one of the only things that made me feel like we were maybe going to be okay. I mean Liam writing a whole children’s book for Jester (that is now getting turned into a real book?? What!!) I mean Kingsley calling Yasha, Love. I mean the blumentrio and their horrible intersections of long lost love and trauma and nostalgia. I mean Nott killing that baby manticore. Yeza loving her. Just. There’s so much love there. Everywhere you look.

very strange phenomenon now that many people have learned online not to pet service dogs is that they walk by little bird and me, wave their hands at little bird, and say in a baby voice "oooohh you're so cute! you're so cute! i'm not going to pet you because i know you're working! ooohhhh puppy puppy puppy, i want to pet you but i'm not allowed~" and i have to tell them what they're doing is literally as distracting as petting her. this happens almost every single time i'm out with her.
