My social worker just called me 'differently abled.' I can't stress enough that we need to use the correct terminology when it comes to talking about disabilities. Using wrong terms or slurs can contribute to the stigma around disability by spreading misconceptions. People who are disabled aren't 'differently abled,' we are just human beings.

Disability is not a bad word. Using harmful terminology is.
