I may have to go on a full hiatus after all , assignments & comms aren't leaving much room to be able to write here besides being able to pop in & out every once in while . I may just have it open for inbox prompts otherwise any threads may have to be on pause until holiday break ~ sorry guys ^^;;

I now have ideas for how to cover up for a lot of jack's backstory that will make sense at least when it comes to an in universe papertrail ~

really it was none of his business but it could be his business with a good amount of curiosity , ❛ but it's hard not t' mind , i didn' expect t' see any competition ~ ❜ , the red-headed foxian cooed , ❛ especially since all the funny lil' guards 're all on the ground , they usually make more of a fuss ~ ❜ , followed by an amusing chuckle as he slipped something out from the pocket of an incapacitated guard .

Was it ethical to utilize his powers to stun the bevy of guards manning this IPC freighter? Probably not. It took a grand amount of audacity for their faction to try and regulate the trade of a Memokeeper's bread and butter, but he supposed human arrogance--

a rose with burnt edges could still draw blood if one's not careful . which was why he was laid back in the booth , taking in a long inhale of his cigarette after setting down his third empty bottle of beer . with a relaxed && slow exhale , eyes quickly catch the new arrival , impossible to miss even through the thickest of smog . he couldn't help but glance up at the rest of the bar as the atmosphere changed due to the new presence in the bar . the thief leaned forward quietly , taking his gaze away as if to feign disinterest . he had no reason at the moment to go sniffing about since he's currently on his break . yet he did not anticipate that that may quickly come to an abrupt end .

he did not seem to react to her approach , from one's standpoint , he seemed more interested in his smoke than the lovely lady . Eventually an eye peeked up at her with a simultaneous raise of his brow , ❛ an' why should I make it easy ? it's intentional t' be a pain in the ass ~ ❜ , && the lengths he takes just to have a quiet drink && smoke go underappreciated . he tapped the embers off the end of his burning cigarette as he rolled his eyes to look the other way , ❛ by yer tone 'm guess'n ya don' need an introduction . ❜ , just by the glimpse of his jacket && the look in his eye , a notorious space marauder with a long record to boot . an extravagant record that hides the blood that's long since dried on his hands . JACK now lays back in his seat , huffing a loose strand of his hair out of his face , ❛ what'd'ya want ? ❜

the woman entering the run-down galactic bar was evidence enough of that. far too pretty to be a regular and far too uptight to be a criminal, one thing was for sure: seren amphelos did not belong here. everything about her expression, the way she carried herself, the way she ordered her drink read law, and it was for that reason, and the gun on her hip, that there was an edge to the patrons here at the intergalactic tavern , of sorts. she didn't say much, though, aside from her drink order - something simple, smooth. decently strong, yet very obviously a beginner's drink. she sips it, and if she's affected by the taste, it doesn't read on her lips as she takes a cursory glance around the room. eyes, one dark, one golden, lock onto a red jacket somewhere over by a booth, and she approaches.

when seren makes her way to the booth, leaning against one of the structural beams that kept this place upright, she smiles. the red of her lipstick matches the red of his jacket, and she wonders: was there blood on his hands that was the same color as hers, or was he so good at what he did that there was no need for gunplay? she sips her drink again, unblinking, and then in a motion all too fluid to not imply she's done something like this before, she sits down in front of him. smiling.

" you are not an easy man to find, you know. " seren says, and she hums. " i'm seren. i've heard a great deal about you. "

ah , a sound that could cause his ears to retch just from cooing anywhere in a five mile radius && it was close enough to make his teeth grind , ❛ how's bout ya garner a lil sympathy instead'a this dead end pitying ya like t' puke ? maybe if I pluck a coupl'a tail feathers ya'd get the picture . ❜ , the last thing this fox needed was a lecture from a cooked chickadee , ❛ if ya don' 'ave my tail then I ain't even gonna stick my nose out even fer a stuck up lil' chicken ! ❜ , snappy as always when anyone decides to bring up the tail topic .

ʟᴏɢɢɪɴɢ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅► @etherealguard / ❛ usually those wit' ulterior motives say shit like dat . ❜ , a playfully accusatory tone danced around his lips as he fiddled with the wrapping of the snack he downed not long before . fingers kept folding && creasing the thin paper as the foxian formed it into varying shapes : a crane , a star then a heart , ceremoniously unfolding it with the simple quick pull of his fingers . he continued this motion repeatedly as he shadowed the nameless only pausing upon the mention of the the HUNT 's lone rangers .

ʟᴏɢɢɪɴɢ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅► @shallliveoninsong / JACK was known to stick his tail into situations not of his own but truly this was the crux of not minding his own business if not a complete accident on his part . while attempting to venture out of his own issue , the foxian has decided to make the problem his && someone elses' . while the guards were on his tail , he lead them through the streets onto restricted areas only to find a young girl dealing with a couple of mara-struck . the perfect opportunity to get these goons off his back .
