The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.

Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.

So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.

Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

Batman was the foster father and heroic mentor of Nightwing, who previously was the og Robin. actually, batman was never around for that long before robin joined the picture either lmao so they kind of grow into it together

FOREVER EVIL is an event where a different universe's evil justice league, the crime syndicate, attacks the primary universe for dominion. something they plan in order to break peoples spirits and show their power is the unmasking and execution of a beloved hero: nightwing. literally everyone knows this guy, in the cape community he's your nephew, your friend, or your mentor. hyper competent typa shit too

anyway the syndicate hooked up a massive bonb to his heart, so the others would have to kill him to save the city or let the bomb kill everyone. granted he does get revived in order to give us one of the coolest nightwing runs: agent 47

soooo all that to say: icarus didn't fly too close to the sun, he got dragged by chains to drown at the bottom of the ocean 🖤

depending on how much i use counter-kai's death was very public (literally televised), very murderous, and very traumatizing.

and then, yknow, itsv has a lot of good material on its own: if counter-kai was the only hero of his verse at that point and then lloyd or wyldfyre got powers and then their almost mentor dies in front of them??? maaaan theyd be super interested in this apparent ghost huh :)

spiderman stuff is making me think of kai getting yeeted into a spiderman au where his counterpart has, ahem, whipped around and spun as it were.

so now kai is in a world he doesn't recognize avoiding most people because his face is very recognizable atp (im thinking of stealing nightwing's forever evil death lol) and in the meanwhile that universe's kai's family keep seeing his face but never being able to catch a solid look

shogun is obviously a solid name, especially if counter-kai didnt use it openly, but theres potential for him to have used it before and now kai has to figure out what the history there is
