I mean it's really hard to say. They have other engineers and are probably going to have to hire a few new people as well. There really isn't replacing Newey.

This does indicate to me that RBR have triggered a sort of "brain drain" event with the negative problems behind the scenes. They are going to keep losing people and whenever that happens in a team it usually means a severe drop off.

It's not just Newey, this is a symptom of a larger problem with the team that will very likely weaken it going into 2026.

2025 is already done basically. Newey has already designed that car and will work on possible upgrades until he leaves.

The problem is I am not seeing how the team is going to attract top talent with the situations they are currently in.

But this isn't great for RBR.

Coming to Netflix this summer, Veganism to Survive

Formula 1 and 2 drivers, as well as Formula Academy drivers, will be grouped up randomly and tasked with cooking vegan meals up to Kevin Magnussen and Lewis Hamilton's tastes as they're both vegan. They'll have to overcome challenges and compete against their fellow drivers for the chance to win the grand prize.
