Charlie's big pile of EVERYTHING
4K posts
Welcome to charlie-vermin.tumblr.com, a blog with no theme whatsoever! Or maybe there is a theme, and it's one that describes me perfectly with the specific flavor of the stuff I reblog? By now I've made sideblogs for fandom stuff, the cool original content I made, and politics... so I guess now this blog is just gonna contain random stuff that doesn't fit into the other categories. Let's face it, if it's not a side blog, any attempts at maintaining a consistent theme are doomed to be futile!

Honestly, as a German I can not quite understand the obsession of the English speaking world with the question whether a word exists or not. If you have to express something for which there is no word, you have to make a new one, preferably by combining well-known words, and in the very same moment it starts to exist. Agree?

One of those stories about a futuristic ship that loves its captain and vice versa, but in a negotiated BDSM way, the ship only stays working as long as the captain regularly does "percussive maintenance" on perfectly working parts.

I'm not going to bother reading the article to find out if this actually works or if anyone is actually trying it. I'm just happy we as a society are showing proper reverence for Orbs.

I have to start doing that too. "Yeah, I need to make mistakes on purpose to make sure I'm lesser than God, no big deal 😎"

This is what makes Biting Elbows' The Stampede music video so immersive for me. Average looking people and no fancy light conditions, in addition to the first person view.
(also, no one is American - that already makes it feel a little less like Hollywood)
horror movies are so much scarier when the actors look like an average sampling of the human population. and the house is a little messy

They should invent a method of asking for reassurance that nobody secretly hates you that doesn't make people secretly hate you.

"How could the enforced anonymity of imageboard culture ever seem like a good idea?" is a question that reads very differently when one's formative experience of social media involves web forums circa 2000 where it was impossible to decipher what any given thread was talking about because every single post included a signature that was ten times as long as its actual content, is all I'm saying.
