Hey.

The reason "The Boys in the Band" doesn't have a all female/wlw version?

It was written by a gay man about his own life experience as a gay man in the late 1960's, at the height of homophobia. The only way to rightfully get a wlw version is for a lesbian to write their own experience from that time.

If your only thought is to say "Why isn't there an all-female version?", then I can tell that you don't understand the cultural significance of the original play in the first place.

Maybe go watch "The Celluloid Closet". Learn something about queer history that isn't just what Tumblr tells you.

i get that whizzer and larry are REALLY similar but there are just certain, small things about their personalities and motives that would change the shows almost ENTIRELY
