ttl #3? - taking it slower.

hey yall, i think im putting this thing on hiatus for a while til i can figure out how i want to do this

i have a lot of ideas i want to share with those i love and i had a lot of support but i need to let myself work on just. everything? about it? ive been having some general doubts (1.2 took so long specifically because of how bad i was having it) and id like to make sure this next thing is good. i kinda want it to be good yeah. so! generally just gonna be taking a while to work on some shorter stories and just other things in general and might eventually see if anyone wants to do some collaborative work in the future. im sure ill start again! eventually! sometime, surely!

the concept is near and dear to my heart anyways but first i have a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of consistency to work on ^_^ thanks for reading!

where i have been

ive been... busy, yeah! i had to wait til break came before i even decided to think of doing anything due to how stressed the shit out i was. i was able to write a bit, yes, but not to an extent where i could reasonably get that out during the schoolyear. this pace will probably continue into the new years and past because i want to make sure i add a bit of extra polish to!! my literal passion project!! yknow i already screwed up multiple times even thinking of it. so. yeah. no more winging it!! im mostly gonna be rounding out loose ends with sea of trees and eventually getting that out maybe may? or so? ive been so life-focused for a while so yeah .

tldr - school was hard, i got very caught up in my own shit, now workign on relaxing and being happy over break and will work on it again soon after break, releasing sea of trees sometime q1-q2 next year, ect

hey bros i did something neat and another little thing im workin on. this one's called drifter, a story that's immortalized due to it being one of the only human-found remnants of the mythological era. part 1 of 4 is out, so expect a WHOOOOOOOLE bunch more. 💖

quick update!!

stuffs going back to normal for now!! i had to take a while to go ahead and let myself rest before i continued writing (moving from largescale to smallscale with my irls and friends), but i don't have anything super overbearing on me right now, so i can mostly continue as i was.

ive mostly moved to doing character ideas, but i have two other projects im gonna be working on!

TTL Folktales - Folktaes are going to be something unrelated to the current story with our favorite draconic nerds and more focusing on the tales told of the old kingdoms, and stories of different deities and dragons! its gonna be neat trust me

Sea Of Trees - currently my last priority right now but uh. really big project thats gonna be something like half? the size of the main story or something but i wont be doing this until i make the whole story.

ooohhhhh i might use some coyotes in what im working on next,,,

I never understood why coyotes are not as popular in media, I mean,, they kinda fit a lot of popular tropes and would be wonderful to explore certain things that isn't just villainizing

Yes, coyotes are known tricksters, they're seen as thieves with a sharp tongue, left in the desert lands where the general west tends to oddly despise, but they're not bad

Coyotes are smart and loyal, mate for life, protect their packs. They are tricksters but a lot like the beloved fox, they have to be to survive. An alternate name for coyotes are Song Dogs, a group of coyotes can be called a Band. They're musical !! So many music related aus to ideas n whatnot but never show the music of a coyote, of the Song Dog

Stories also have that coyotes are the reason why our skies and galaxy looks the way they do, there are stories of coyotes who stole fire from gods and brought fire to people to keep warm. There are stories where coyotes guide people safely, so on

Coyotes can also mean the symbolism of life and death, coyotes are scavengers too, also like death, they're deeply despised by folks in general spaces, despite only just doing what they need to - to survive

They're incredibly adaptable, able to adapt to anywhere, the northern snows to the southern deserts, the plains, the suburbs, they learn and adapt. They're so adaptable there's an entire Wild Kratts episode about it haha

They're not a wolf, not quite a dog, but their own unique and beautiful and wonderful and wild thing

Idk, I would love to see more coyotes in media, I always get a little sad about it and when we do they're villainized and hated. I'm tired of seeing that. I want to see more positive coyote stuff and more good coyote content
