What Manner of Man is a queer gothic romance novel about a priest and a vampire, inspired by Dracula!

Father Ardelian has been summoned to a distant, secluded island to perform an exorcism. What will happen when he begins to suspect his host — the mysterious, nocturnal lord of the manor — of wanting him for another reason entirely? Will the piously celibate priest be able to resist his host’s diabolically seductive charms?

Funny idea for my silly au: The Cybertronian civil war starts, stops, and starts again multiple times over the last 4 million years depending on how Megatron and Optimus's relationship is going. 90% of the time Megatron starts it and breaks up with Optimus and swears that they'll never be together again, it is officially over, yada yada. Optimus sighs, and eventually they make up (and make out).

The record for shortest length for the war going as well as the shortest length for peace can be measured within a day or two. Also, sometimes whenever a diplomat from another planet causes Megatron to get mad over Autobot/Decepticon matters, he'll darkly reply that they're the cause of the Cybertronian civil war starting again. Optimus will scoff and mention that the civil war started over a trivial domestic dispute between them last week, and then they'll excuse themselves into another room and start shooting each other. So Megatron's threats might scare a greenhorn diplomat, but seasoned ones are aware at this point that things will be smoothed over soon and everything will be fine again.

To avoid drama though, the diplomats will try to avoid talking to Megatron at any cost, preferring to speak to his high command or to the Autobots in general.

Megatron gets back with Optimus due to his obsession with him both in the love and hate categories that no one else can handle. Optimus gets back with Megatron because the drama that Megatron causes makes him feel alive.
