Closing my doors
I knew it was too good to be true but I let the moment sink in anyway. Even though I knew it never was him behind my smile, his mere existence is the reason my smile happened in the first place. Remembering his smile, his shirt, the way he laughs, the way he talks, the way he takes photographs all let me escape reality and go to another place where I can call him my own.
I had little help from my cousin, but it was never TRUE. I hate it when my cousins help me. They force you to make me blush when all you have to do is do nothing and just seeing you standing there makes the butteflies in my stomach dance like there’s no tomorrow.
I hate it when they tease me. I hate it when they force me to say that I can never call you my own, when that reality screams to my head over and over again.
My other cousin, who was equally obsessed with you claims that she got over you and lets the whole world know that I’m the one who never let go. I’m the one who’s foolishly dumb enough to hold on to a beautiful glass who cuts right through me everytime I try to touch it. Yes, lots of blood have flown. But I’m still here, aren’t I?
So please, while I’m still struggling to kick him out of my eyes. Don’t try to put him back and remind me all the bittersweet things I fantasized about him. I never WANTED HIM! I HAVE REALIZED THAT! I KNOW IT’S LATE BUT ATLEAST I DID! AND YOU SHOULD TOO!
Who is he to deserve all my attention when all I get is pain? I AM NOT FOOLISH! I AM NOT DUMB! I will NOT waste another moment trying to impress him. I have outgrown him. I am strong. I am smart. And my cousins should know that.
SO SHUT THE FUCK UP CUZ I AM FCKING OVER HIM!! BELIEVE ME !! DON’T LOOK AT MY NAIVE FACE AND SAY IT’S OTHERWISE OR IMMA LOCK YOU UP IN MY CLOSET TOGETHER WITH HIM! Geez!
