Laughing Nymph: Sheneal
 Hello There!
I'm getting back into the scheme of updating semi regularly again! I had the awesome opportunity to explore more of Eden Park with my friend Sheneal! She's been taking a photography course, so we get together occassionally to go out and photograph, which I love. Here are a few of my favorites I took of her.

Confetti Queens: Lauren
 Hello there!
It's been a while. I haven't been updating but I've definitely been shooting. I helped my friend Lauren celebrate her 21st Birthday, and came up with a new theme as well. I've always been interested in highly stylized photography.  I came up with this idea to toss confetti on crowns worn by different styles of women and I literally thought it was the best thing in the world.
We took pictures with help from Lauren's Daughter, but she wasn't really feeling the confetti, so I had to do them myself. It took a few tries, but I got quite a few shots I really liked, and Lauren had a blast, and that's all that really matters right? Below are some of my favorites.

August Comics I’m looking forward too!
 Hey Gang!
Don’t drag me, I know that there have already been two weeks of comics released. I started a new job and time has just really gotten away from me. Here are some of the comics I’m looking forward too in the month of August.
- Crowded: Image Comics: W:Sebella A:Stein 8/15: In the time of crowdsourcing for something people really want. Now there’s an app to crowdfund for an assassin. In true millennial fashion, you have an app to counteract that and hire your very own bodyguard. Now our main character is being hunted down, and they have 30 days to figure out who wants to kill them before time and their lives are up. I’m really looking forward to this one.
- Leviathan: Image Comics W:Layman A: Pitarra 8/1: It seems like the month of fantasy! The main characters having a party, runs out of ice, comes back and is met with a ginormous smiling Dragon. His friends decided to pull out some magic tarot cards, and now there are demons and such running amok. Sounds like a fun time to me.
- Modern Fantasy: Dark Horse Comics W: Roberts A:Gudsnuk 8/29: In this series, you follow two girls who are trying to keep their crappy office jobs afloat and complete magical side quests. They battle dragons, collect gold and generally save the world, while trying to figure out how they’re going to pay their student loans. I wonder how many pieces of gold you’d need to pay off a student loan...
- Sheets: Lion Forge A + W: Thummler 8/15: I’m pretty excited to read this graphic novel. There’s a washing machine, and a ghost, and the fall, and I’m just so ready for an adorable ghost story. Even better, on the day this comes out, Nerdette At Large has an interview with Brenna Thrummler! I can’t wait to introduce you to her gang, She’s amazing and I know her story will be great!

Novels #27: Book Haul #8
 Hey Gang!
I've been reading! I know I don't talk about books on here often, but that's because all of my reviews go on Goodreads. I just am not one for repeating content. I've just recently hit up the library and got a few awesome titles. Here's what I got.
I picked up the Black Top Series by Lj Alonge. I haven't read them yet, because I can't figure out which one is supposed to come first, Janae, Toni or Justin. The Lovely Reckless by Kami Garcia, Batgirl Rebirth Vol. 3, She-Hulk Vol. 1, Batman Brave and the Bold (Bronze Age) Vol.1,  Archie: The New Riverdale Vol. 1, and Jughead Vol 1.
I'm currently in the middle of reading Ultraviolet by R.J. Anderson and The "New" Teen Titans, by Marv wolfman and George Perez. This is the quintessential Teen Titan series everyone keeps raving about but I'm not seeing it. It's a little dated, so I have to stop and look up references and Beast Boy is a mysoginistic Loser in this. I'm about 1/4 of the way done, and honestly I don't really know how much more I'll be able to stomach.
Currently on my Goodreads are three new reviews! Dead and Breakfast, Doom with a View by Kate Kingsbury and This is Our Story by Ashley Elston.
What are you reading? Let's Chat about it on twitter!

Hello There!
This was the first roll I started to attempt to photograph people along with my buildings. I am still way too new, and worried about getting yelled at to take really good street photography of people but I'll get there eventually.
I was pretty excited about how dark the church steeple photo came out, i know you can't necessarily tell what it is, but it's a lot more creative than the rest of the photos, and this is why I love film! You can get so many crazy unique things organically, instead of afterwards in editing.
I love photographing the churches in my area because they are just so majestic and regal and other than people they are definitely one of my favorite things to shoot.

Hello!!
I'm so in love with Film. Here are some more photos I took on 400 iso Kodak Gold!
I took all of these, while dropping off a package to Amazon. I very rarely make it near downtown or college town, so I definitely wanted to take advantage of being there. I finally bit the bullet and started taking a class to learn lightroom and its so much fun! I don't know why I waited so long, my pictures look so good! I'm really in love with the pink/purple violets here? The picture came out really dark, but I was able to raise the brightness on the flowers and now it looks super moody and awesome.

Hello!
I'm starting to get the hang of this updating two blogs semi often thing. I'm talking about more film prints! Here are a few of my favorites.
This particular session was filled with architechture as usual. The first photo is one of my favorites, because the house reminds me of hobbiton. It makes my nerdy heart happy. I have been drooling over the third picture, becuase it is a boarded up abandoned house that you can see from the highway, and I've been wanting to pull over and photograph it for a really long time, and I finally got the opportunity to do so.

 Hello!
It's been a while, life kind of had other ideas for my time, Today, i'm going to be talking about a few of the film prints I've taken since May. Which was my last post. Here are some of my favorites.
Due to a traffic jam, I had to take a different new way to work and I just found so many interesting pieces of architecture. The very first shot, is Q, my best friends little boy, and he is the most precious thing ever! I was so happy to be able to capture him on film.

Adventures with Spokhette #26: Shenanigans in Boudoir
 Hey Gang!
I had the most awesome opportunity the other day. I was invited to a suicidegirls shootfest near me. Suicidegirls is an unconventional modeling site that highlights the unique things about women. Tattoos, Disabilities, body modifications, curvy girls, the list goes on. I love everything about this site and what their doing.
A shootfest is when a bunch of girls gather around and get sets done for the site, the girls come from all over and its a great community event. Since the girls are so spread sometimes the only time they get to shoot is at a shootfest, so I thought it would be cool to offer to do some promotional shots that they can use in their portfolio, or on Instagram in between their shoots since the queue is pretty stretched out.  To my surprise they accepted and my foray into boudoir and nude pinup began. It’s a glorious world, and I am so happy to be a part of it.
I’ll only be posting my favorites, and the safe for work ones, Many of the girls have private snapchats, or patrons if you are interested in more than that, you should definitely check those out. I’ll leave all the instagram links below, so you can go show them some love.
We got to know each other, played board games, and explored the city we were in. I had an absolute blast, and I can’t wait to do it again.

Adventures W/Spokhette #26: Covington Pride
Hi Gang!
June is Pride Month! Although, I try to celebrate LGBTQA's, everyday including myself, I have actually never attended a pride parade. I knew I was going to be stuck working during the Cincinnati Pride, so I decided to hop over the river and visit Covington's. Originally, I thought I would just hop into the parade but once I got there and saw all the people that I didn't know, I decided that I would just get some great shots!
I filmed the entire thing, including me getting lost and then just happening upon the front of the parade, but I'll just put pictures in this post, and I'll upload the video to youtube later. I've already got a video set up for this week, so it might be next week.
Here are a couple of my favorite shots. I'll be posting more of them on the photography blog and in my portfolio so make sure you check it out!!
Have you ever been to pride?! Give me your tips on Twitter!

Adventures With Spokhette #25: Night and Day Photography
 Hey Gang!
I had the opportunity to go out with Bri last week. We photographed during the day at a lake in Mason, and then at Night in the Gazebo and Eden Park. I very rarely get to photograph at night, so I was so excited to take up this opportunity. The difference between these photos are literally day and night, there's a difference in location, but the same exact outfit and props were used. I thought it would be fun to show you a few of my favorites.
Do you have a favorite time during the day, or night that you like to shoot?
This was my first time at night and I loved it!

Witchy Vibes
 Hello!
I took my cousin Bri out for some modeling! I am so excited that people are modeling for me now, so i get to do all kinds of different photography. We did Day and Night Photography, but the Night photos will be in another post. I told her to dress witchy because I was going to try out smoke bombs for the first time, but Walmart let me down. So I armed her with my Snape replica wand, and we headed out in search for awesome places to photograph!
We happened upon a man made lake, and there was this awesome wooden bridge so I decided to take the photos there, It was starting to drizzle so we pulled out an umbrella and I got some adorable ones of those as well. I didn't really have a theme for these shots, so I just like to think of them having a witchy vibe. I shot these photos digitally, with a 35-80mm lens on a Canon 70D.
I was really excited about these shots and wanted to tell ya a little bit about them!

Edited #1: My Favorites From Easter
Hello!
I finished editing my easter portraits for my friend Robin a couple of weeks ago, and I thought it would be fun to show you some of my favorites. I'm trying to do more in terms of portraiture, and editing skills. So every time, I finish photos for a client, or from a shoot, I'll put them up here, only my faves though!
Until Next Time,
Gabriella

Hello!
I had a rather productive two weeks of film photography and had five rolls of film to turn in. I love scanning in the prints so I can have copies in case something happens. I want to use the blog to show off my film work. I don't really get to do a lot with it, since it's just a hobby, but I love how some of them turn out so that's what these posts will be about.
Here are a couple of my favorites. I shoot with a Pentax K1000 and 35mm lens, I have a 50 mm lens coming which I am OH so excited about! I'm hoping to do portraits with that one. I've put out a call for film portraits so hopefully someone will answer.
I'm going shooting this weekend with my friend Sheneal, so hopefully, I'll be able to get through a couple of rolls of film on our adventure!

Hoppy Easter!
Hello.
I had the awesome opportunity to photography my friend Robin's family. Every year the entire family comes out to a park in the city and I do group pictures and individuals. It's one of my favorite annual photography shoots. I don't get to photograph a lot of people so it's always a blast when the opportunity rolls around.
I was halfway through a 400 ISO Kodak Gold Film roll when I arrived so I finished it off with the Gazebo, the beautiful fountain, and close-ups of some of the floral and berries. Since flowers have started blooming, walks through parks have become a lot more fun to photograph. This one is my favorite.
