Hermit A Day May - day 11-13

As you can see, I pretty much gave up there. Combining work and a massive artblock at the time became unbearable, so hopefully, I can fully participate next year!:]

I need scars reaction to tegg looking like him so badd SHES SO CUTE

I think, shortly after Tegg hatched, Scar was too focused on picking up the shell pieces and moving them away, to really focus on her features.

But later, after she's cleaned, dressed, and no longer crying, Scar finally sees her big green eyes, exactly the same shade as his, and he also fully notices her hair is dark--darker than Grian's--Scar actually struggles to notice anything resembling Grian in her, which makes him feel oddly guilty. Its shocking for sure, but his heart swells, he can't help but pout over how cute she is. Scar didn't even think there was a baby in that egg, or at least he assumed it would've been a dragon, but still, it feels like someones left a box of kittens at his door, its so pitiful !!!! and they're so sweet !!!!! and defenceless !!! He wants to hold her and boop her nose. (and apologize for ever thinking she was a scary ender dragon !!!)

Scar doesn't understand how this happened, why she looks like him, he knows Grian just found the egg, he knows him and Grian aren't a couple, they haven't done anything, it really makes no sense.

Though, quietly, Scar hopes Grian is still bird brain crazy about this, and still wants Scar around to help with the new baby.

At some point, someones brings it up randomly during a quiet moment, "... Is anyone going to question why she looks like Scar?"

But before anyone can respond, Grian blurts out; "I know!? Right??? How does THAT make any sense? I was the one carrying her!"

Like he's been mulling over it this entire time. Theres no actual venom in his voice though, just confusion and frustration. Since his broodiness subsided, he's been having a hard time putting memories together through that haze of false belief. He knows Scar isn't the father now, so why..?

They eventually piece it together, or rather, they have their theories. They know the egg made Grian sick, it messed up his code. Scar had a harder time noticing the egg affecting him--he already had regular bad days. They theorize that Tegg was eating their codes to grow, Scar's genes were just stronger ! it can't be helped !!!!!!
