Proof of Concept Questions
What is the problem/need have observed?
The problem we have observed is that most people don’t have easy access to the world of light. There are young people who want to perform but aren’t famous to perform on stage. There are also people who just want colored lights for their room to have an aesthetic vibe.
What are some 3 possible solutions?
Solutions include: Making our product user friendly, cheap, and flexible in its function
What solution is your favorite one?
Our favorite solution is making our product flexible in its function because our product will have lens that the consumer can change and they will also be able to change the color of the lights. All this for a good price.
How can you fabricate it?
The lenses will be fabricated by our own hands, the wiring for the lights to change colors and a remote control to personalize the experience.
What materials can it be made out of?
Plastic, LED lights, glass, metal and 3D plastic materials are available for our use, any other materials will have to be bought.
Who is your User? Who is this made for?
This product is made for people with creative minds, interested in having a light show in their own home to project onto their roof/room. This can help our user have fun and interact with light, making shadow puppets, making a performance with the lights, or having something pretty to look at with the lights turned off.
Where does your project live? Where is it located?
Our project is made and manufactured in New York, when a user gets their hand on this product they could set it just about anywhere facing up to have a beautiful light show.
Why make this? What is your motivation?
We want to make this product because we have seen that colored light bulbs cost a lot and the cheap ones are no very effective. We want to make good working lights with a bunch of modifications for a good price and can be bought by many people and used for all ages. Our motivation is to help people with their creativity and hope they use are product to their own advantage and help get somewhere.
What is your inspiration?
Our inspiration comes from performers and how they use lights to perform. We aren’t famous so we can’t perform on stage but we can bring the stage to your room!
