Plantation Update
I can’t believe I’m admitting this, but after years of running this plantation, I partially agree with Bacon. Tobacco is ruining the soil and I’m constantly needing more land and people for labor. I went to another slave auction and bought four more slaves. Boy are they pricey!! One of my indentured servants was found pregnant and is now serving more time for us. Marylin being so kind-hearted wanted to help her while staying under our care. I think this is due to our two sons dying and her using this as a coping method. I saw young Bethany walking around with Sasha, the slave who now has become her personal maid due to their age similarity. She has grown to become a beautiful young woman wooing all the boys everytime we visit the markets. After Harry and Marcus dying, I’m too afraid to let her go. Well tumblr, what would you say about this tough pickle?

Bacon’s rebellion
A group of angry Virginians are currently rebelling against Governor Berkeley for more land by killing natives. I am in awe with the injustice in this. My servants could never, I swear If I were to find out that one of my former servants that didn’t accept my offer to work under my name after their contract was over were to take part in this, I myself would walk into the house of burgesses and ask for their heads. I have treated all my servants with a life of altitude with my care until they are to leave. Oh how I never want them to leave! Slaves are too expensive right now. Currently my daughter Bethany plays around with a daughter of two slaves I paid a tremendous amount for in an auction named Sasha. As long as she’s happy I’m happy, but how I hope Sasha recognizes the place she is in to talk to my only daughter.

Death all over My Life
My life seemed to be going fine for a while, the birth of my child took a wild turn. Marylin’s stomach was tremendously big and she would be fine for some weeks and some she’ll be at bed ill. She threw up more compared to her pregnancy with Harry. When the baby’s birth came, it turned out she was actually pregnant with twins. One was a boy and the other a girl, we named them Marcus and Bethany. How happy young Harry was! He finally had someone to play with. Our tale of happiness was soon ruined when typhoid rained in our home. Little Harry and Marcus had sadly gotten it from one of our indentured servants. I made sure she was casted out from our land. They soon died after due to their weak immune system. Bethany, the only one to not catch the disease, is the only precious thing left to us. Marylin is currently in a depressive stage. I hope to see most of you at their funeral. Best wishes and goodbye for a while.

Son’s Birthday and New Child Announcement
I haven’t been posting for a while because I’ve been busy raising my child, Harry, who I had mentioned before. Today was his birthday and I had decided to take him to the market. We saw people of the lower class, I told him that he should be grateful to have been born in such a high class family and being above them. He told me he wanted to be part of the House of Burgesses. How proud I am of him! I can see my father though him. He also wants to study at William and Mary college when he gets older. I’m also happy to announce that we are expecting another child. How grateful am I! My poor Marylin had had a miscarriage last time and wanted to try again. Nowadays she spends most of her time with an indentured servant, who is her personal maid, and goes to the market and town square to free her mind for the child.

Currently in the process of buying this stately riverfront manor, my fellow companions just informed me that they had hired people to work on their land. Just realized now that I’m going to need more people to go work with the crops in the fields. Since I’m not going to do that work by myself, I signed contracts with a group of people from England to do so. Thanks to the head-right system, I can get land for every passage I pay. I might have to open up my options to slaves when I have enough money because eventually I’m going to have to find more people and pay for their passage due to their contract ending in a few years. Might have to find other alternatives to make them stay longer lol. (:

I want to thank everyone who came to my father’s funeral. He was a proud, hardworking man who managed to survive through the struggles of the Chesapeake Bay. His struggle to find a spouse was high after the ratio of men and women was outnumbered by males. He had managed to marry my mother, Lucy, who died three years ago, after various attempts with other women. After years of hunger, he was able to open up a platation made up of tobacco. I watched as he moved through life, now it’s my turn to take after his footsteps. I will always remember you pops <3. May you grow as much tobacco as you want in heaven. Hope you say hi to mom for me, I know both of you are watching me from above. 🕊

Welcome to this charming, southern man’s page that you have somehow stumbled upon. If you aren’t one of my current followers, get ready to go through this tobacco-loving man’s life. My name is Howard Andreums, a Virginian who recently became a plantation owner through inheritance and struggling through it. Being a plantation owner at the age of 19 is a lot of work in the aspect of management. I have a beautiful wife who is 16 and we’re expecting a child soon. We are settled in the Chesapeake bay currently and quite enjoy it here. I hope the baby is a boy, he’ll be as handsome as his father. My father at the current moment is very ill, prayers for him please. 🙌
