The news is about Michelle Marquez Dee's performance during the Miss Universe competition. During the swimsuit competition, she wore a fierce red one - piece swimsuit. Michelle is secured and confident with her performance in closed-door interview. She hopes that judges would understand her advocacy and inner sentiments. Going back, in Evening competition, her Emerald Green gown was a tribute to her mother who wore the same color when she was crowned Miss International in 1979. Her designer, Mark Bumgarner, shared that it was made out of thousands of Swarovski crystals in different shades of emerald green and black. Additionally, Green is a representation of wisdom, power, and transformation as Michelle is confident enough in taking her steps closer to the crown.

In this journey, Michelle is an eagle who is very powerful in facing the odds and being resilient of it, a hope and an inspiration. She had received a lot of judgements and misconceptions when she was named Miss Universe Philippines 2023. With that, she said, "This time I'm showing everyone the real Michelle Dee." Lastly, her gown was not just a tribute but an inspiration by her mom's gown in 1979. Not just that, her cousin Wynwyn Marquez also wore a gown in the same color when she was crowned Reina Hispanoamerican in 2017.
