Artist Paints the Universe and Nature into Black Women’s Hair

Pierre Jean-Louis is a multimedia artist based in New York and Philadelphia, who has built up quite a social media following as a result of his unique works. Jean-Louis paints mystical images of the universe and nature onto images of Black women’s natural hair. His intricate works feature flowers, vines, and even an entire forest, all seamlessly woven into coils and kinks. Jean-Louis even invites his followers to tag him in their photos on Instagram so that he can consider their portraits as well.

Musichetta laughed and shook her head at him. “Fine, fine, be a pirate then. But how about you try to just be careful instead. It’s not too sharp so as long as you focus and have a mirror you should be fine. Your eyes will water though, I can promise that,” she said and shrugged. “But you’ll get used to the feeling after a few times of trying.”

"Oh no, mister, you're not going anywhere!" Musichetta said sharply, grabbing Bahorel's sleeve. "You asked me to teach you eyeliner, so now I'm teaching you, and you're learning. Got it?" She said, pointing at him with the makeup brush. ((my attempt at helping you come back :D))

Bahorel laughed and let her guide him to the couch. “Alright, alright.” He said. “Teach me your mystical ways, Sugar Plum Princess. How can I look as beautiful as you?”

[[Hey everyone! It seems like our unplanned hiatus is slowly starting to end, and I couldn’t be more exited! There were multiple reasons to why I kind of fell out of the loop with this group, but I’m definitely still here and looking forward to roleplaying again. I got a new laptop sometime during winter, and in the process lost the links to the chatzy groups, so if someone would like to send me the links I’d really appreciate it ♥

There’s also the matter of the ever-present mess of JBM. I presume we’re still missing a Joly? I can recall me and R having a brief talk about Bossuet and Chetta maybe being roommates at some point? I’d very much appreciate a briefing of some kind about the current situations with everyone’s muses actually ^^;;

I probably won’t be back in this on full swing before May, because I have my last exams and essays to do before summer vacation, but after that I plan to be back! Love you all ♥]]

((Sorry I haven’t been around much lately. The last couple of weeks have been pretty shit. First I had a sinus infection and then I spent 13 hours in the ER only to find out that I have gall stones and need to have my gall bladder removed.

So I wanted to let y'all know that I’m having my surgery tomorrow. I don’t know if I’ll be able to be around much, at least in the next few days.

That being said, I’m going to bring my annoying organs into Jehan’s story simply because I can. ))
