It’s here! The warm breeze, soothing kisses from the sun. The mixture of grass sweetened by summer blossoms. I’m talking about my dress! I know it’s cold out right now, but summer is not far behind. I’ve got something to help you drift there in a day dream. The wind caresses your body. It’s warm and calming. It softly dances through each layer of your fluttering summer dress. You can feel the sun reaching, touching everything with ease. Your skin in glowing from the long awaited heat. You feel cool, comfortable and confident. What a woman captures in her soul at this moment, is beauty. It’s a reassurance of self, a grounding experience. This is exactly the feeling I want my dress to embody. I’ve created a garment women can wear night or day. It is elegant like a flowers petals reaching out with life. Yet sultry in the way that it moves with the wind. My dress is flirty and accents a women's joy. It’s light and breathes. Simple, changeable details, can spice things up, add a little change or help compliment a certain area . I’ve given you the choice to wear the dress using the shoulder straps, neck tie or both. I’ve also made the belt removable as an extra style option. I want my designs to appeal to as many women as possible. During our mentorship day, I received so much valuable feedback from so many wonderful women. It really helped me understand a clients point of view and what it means to design for a woman. Reality is, it’s quite difficult to create a garment that will compliment/please everyone, all shapes, all sizes. But, listening and observing the everyday woman, can help inspire a garment that will reach not all, but so many. That is an invaluable lesson. My inspiration has been frosty soft summer peaches . The colour, the look of its mist covered skin, the smell and emotion provoking flavours. Imagine a perfectly honeyed peach iced tea. The glass is frosty, you can feel its drips trailing down your hand. You can smell fresh lemons, taste the luscious peaches and soothing mint. With eyes closed, you continue to breath the summer air. Absorb the beauty, the calm it all creates within you. You become weightless. The dress is made of lightweight fabric. It has incredible strength and guess what? Machine washable. This beautiful fabric will keep you feeling cool and classy. It’s so refreshing to wear and comfortable against your skin. The silhouette draws the eye down, creating the illusion of length. It accents the shoulders and tiny cinched waist. It’s a roomy dress. You can do almost anything in it. It will not restrict or confine your movements. It’s made to feel great, at any point off your day. My designs are made for your pleasure. They are for all of you. The energy I put in is returned in abundance ,when I see the happiness it creates in you. Krysta-Leigh.W.

Un goût d’été
Summer. We’re all waiting for it. It has been an odd, long, winter.
Little tastes of spring/summer weaved into our cold hard season. Am I right in saying,
C’est un amuse gueule!
All this teasing has left my mind floating around in warmth. My body though? Ha! Bundled up. Not coming out.
You’ve most likely guessed. All of the above, is part of my inspiration for creating a fresh, new summer dress. Hold on, there is more.
Check this out. My dress embodies choice of movement. It is versatile and can change. Our bodies change all the time for tons of different reasons. It’s natural, it’s beautiful. Our clothing on the other hand, does not.
This dress is designed with adjustable straps and a removable belt. Most of all, the waste gathers can be modified, and the top portion moves to conform to your body or choice of style.
Pretty flexible yet very tasteful.
My dress will really make one look twice. It is full and airy. The shape is inspired by flower petals. The flutter and lightness of pixie wings influenced the ultimate feminine feel.
When I think of my dress, I think of lemonade. Always refreshing. Add as little or as much sugar as desired.
But, remember, lemonade can also be quite tangy, if you chose it to be.
What i’m saying is, this dress can help you feel sweet or sexy. Not that you probably aren't already, but whom doesn’t like a little spiked lemonade now and then.
To add a touch of class, i’ve added mother of pearl accents. It reminds me of being by the lake shore, looking for shells and fossils. Seeing a soft, fragmented sparkle amongst a sea of natural wonders. The feelings one is filled with when finding a treasure.
I wanted my dress to reflect ultimate versatility. This summer dress can be worn with a leather or denim jacket. Come winter, pair it with some tights or leg gins and a sweater. Bing bang boom.
I don’t know about all of you, but I LOVE dresses. When I feel down, they help me flutter. If I feel drab, they give me bounce. Having a homely student streak, slap on that dress! So, the mere fact that this dress can seamlessly transitions into a bland winter wardrobe… Well, i’ve made one for myself already.
Lastly, a small annoyance of mine. Tiny pockets on women's garments. You know the ones. You want to put your hands in your pockets? No room. A wallet and lipstick maybe? Small growth looking bulge.
I’ve designed two large, functional pockets on either side of the dress. They are strong and can withhold weight, but aren’t cumbersome. They also add a nice contemporary element.
I have designed my dress for the natural, ever evolving woman. I wanted to captivate and elevate an already existing spirit of femininity, and reflected it. This dress is for everyone, anyone. It’s not a bandaid or an empty promise. This dress is designed to enhance and accommodate each different woman's natural gifts.
