it wasn’t long until izumi had arrived. were you nervous? you don't know. perhaps it was excitement? that, you're unsure of as well. going out with someone you claimed as nothing but a "hallway crush" was something that you did not expect.

there you were, sitting in his car with him. you could barely even make eye-contact with izumi, which he was the same. a blush displayed all over his face as he muttered to himself. you decided not to question it- well, you were curious but decided to keep to yourself.

"you, uh," he broke the silence, gulping as he kept his eyes on the road. 'fuck' izumi thought, tapping his fingers on the wheel. "you look nice." you froze, and stopped texting your beloved best friend as you stammered upon your words.

"t-thank you..! ah... um, you too..." you laughed awkwardly, a faint shade of red tainting your cheeks. "sena-san, do you mind telling me where exactly are we going?" you ask, trying to break the awkward atmosphere and attempt to make a small conversation. despite obviously disliking it.

'how the hell do you talk to dudes? niki, you owe me two months worth of your cooking and discount for encouraging this.'

izumi deadpans. "mcdonalds." you blinked, an awkward silence taking over once again, before you broke it with a giggle which soon escalated to a loud laugh. "w-what? your friend, niki, told me that you love it there!"

"haha… he's not wrong. i was just surprised, that's all. i'm glad you asked him, that's cute." you grinned, before returning to text niki to tell him about what had happened— until you realized. 'what the hell am i saying?'

the boy, on the other hand, simply tried brushing it off as he was used to compliments. but how was he able to ignore it when you’re the literal light of his life? the LOVE OF HIS LIFE?! izumi played it off with a chuckle, patting your head. "yeah, yeah… i know i'm cute. you are, too."

you had fun, no doubt. izumi made it a little bit less awkward, or so he tried. honestly, to kohaku, your interactions with each other was adorable to the point of puke-worthy. "these two… are disgusting." he groaned, fanning himself due to how hot it was under his disguise.

niki shushed him. "shut up, kohaku! you'll blow our cover." he crossed his arm as he pulled out a magnifying glass, spying on the two. kaname sweat drops, "niki-san, we're in a car."

rinne could only pout, "that should’ve been me! let me out of the car, i’m crashing this date." the younger tojo panicked, trying to hold the red-haired male back. "i will throw you off this car while driving, amagi." himeru threatened.

"SHUT THE FUCK UP! they’re talking about something."

"i can't even hear…— open the damn windows!"

they never got caught, for some reason.
