Oh my god...I found that old Dolly animatic I was making way back when. I posted the two "waving" frames seperately, but here's the video they were for. I'm not really happy with how it turned out and I was still figuring out Hitfilm at the time so it's a bit shoddy. But here it is anyways!

Gyro scanned the red and gold invitation again. And again. Anything to keep his eyes off of Boyd, who was looking up at him with his patented “you can never say no to me” stare. Try as he might, Gyro could not deny that he would inevitably be swayed by those big blue eyes the second they met his. That stare had been patented for a reason.

“Please, Dr. Gearloose? It’s our first Christmas together, and I would love to spend it with you and all of my friends.”

Gyro grimaced as gold glitter sprinkled off of the invitation and landed on his desk.

Hera didn’t say anything in reply to that, so Sabine nervously glanced up at her, wondering if she was angry or horrified or disgusted or not-mad-just-disappointed-in-your-total-lack-of-good-judgment or something. Her eyes were closed and her hand was pressed over her mouth. “Hera…?” Hera held up one finger and spoke in a voice that was high and tight with repressed laughter. “I am not condoning this behavior.” Sabine grabbed another handful of popcorn and munched on it while she waited for Hera to pull herself together. It took a while, and Sabine felt the tiniest little smirk cross her own face as Hera’s shoulders shook with silent laughter.

Out of everyone in Team Science, Fenton is definitely the only morning person

I can just see him coming into the lab every morning with a big ol’ smile on his face as he greets everyone and tells them that today is going to be another great day for science

I was gonna put all this on tags but there were waaaaay too many dhdgdjbddh get ready for a farm nerd/ fellow world building addict rant!

I like to think that the "bird tiddies" are either fluffed feathers, feather extensions added to make a bulge, or femme clothes have padded fronts to achieve the hourglass shape. If it's a world where not just birds are anthro, there are certain mamals that have a "chest."

Female rabbits have a fat roll on their neck called a dewlap that not only looks like...boobies...but functions in that same way. It doesn't produce milk, it attracts males the bigger they are. Like uh...yeah. we had a Netherland Dwarf rabbit with a huuuge dewlap back during my livestock showman days. We were worried she had a health issue but a rabbit breeder told us she was just a shortstack djdbdbbdbd.

Chickens - hens rather - have a chest protrusion due to their crop, an organ at the base of the neck that stores feed (it can become overly filled and swell up needing medical attention). There might be other examples of this in other birds but chickens are my forte. In an anthro world this would most likely appear as a bigger chest.

It's possible that a figure with a bigger chest could have been picked up by other bird species from either the chicken example or the mammal example and been accepted as an ideal shape for female figures in an anthro universe. Or they just evolved that way like you said.

Very fun to think about!

Ok, weird poll, lol. But as someone who likes to world build and put way too much thought into things, this is something I'm undecided on. Leaning towards "they just happened to evolve that way" and don't produce milk. Since the definition of "mammal" comes from that ability. Maybe the bird tiddies have different, secret function...

I agree that when it comes to strength and skill they're probably a match, so I wonder of Beakley would be able to do any psychological tricks. Like, "Oh, this guy has to deal with Mark Beaks all day? I know what to do." And she gets him to start venting about his job and she complains about the kids, gets them into a bonding moment, ya know? and then she takes him out when he thinks they've paused to talk.

In the spirit of encouraging people to comment on fanfics while also making it easier to do so, I feel obliged to share a browser extension for ao3 that has quite literally revolutionized the comment game for me.

I present to you: the floating ao3 comment box!

From what I've seen, a big problem for many people is that once you reach the comments at the bottom of a fic, your memory of it miraculously disappears. Anything you wanted to say is stuck ten paragraphs ago, and you barely remember what you thought while reading. This fixes that!

I'll give a little explanation on the features and how it works, but if you want to skip all that, here's the link.

The extension is visible as a small blue box in the upper left corner.

(Side note: The green colouring is not from the extension, that's me.)

If you click on it, you open a comment box window at the bottom of your screen but not at the bottom of the fic. I opened my own fic for demonstrative purposes.

The website also gives explanations on how exactly it functions, but I'll summarize regardless.

insert selection -> if you highlight a sentence in the fic it will be added in italics to the comment box

add to comment box -> once you're done writing your comment, you click this button and the entire thing will automatically copied to the ao3 comment box

delete -> self explanatory

on mulitchapter fics, you will be given the option to either add the comment to just the current chapter or the entire fic

The best part? You can simply close the window the same way you opened it and your progress will automatically be saved. So you can open it, comment on a paragraph, and then close it and keep reading without having the box in your face.

Comments are what keep writers going, and as both a writer and a reader, I think it's such an easy way of showing support and enthusiasm.

I don't think anything will ever validate me more then watching a group of literal brain and heart surgeons confidently walk into the conference room, only to have their leader sadly shuffle out to my office 15 minutes later and ask me to come help them with the projector.
