Honestly Azuki was 2nd priority to Osaka excavation, partly because I burnt a lot of resources trying fruitlessly for the Kagemitsu brothers, so I didn’t have any confidence in bringing him home.

Tried about 10 times for him on the first night, then made a few obligatory smiths per day afterwards. I think I spent about 25k of resources in total? Can’t tell for sure since the helper was malfunctioning for the past week. 

All 900 plus fuji ofuda, SF Tsuru heading the honmaru. I don’t think leader mattered a lot, I swopped so many that I got tired and left Tsuru in charge. LOL that joker punked me too! A couple of smiths before the bean turned up, I got 3:20 on an ofuda and it wouldn’t show up in the helper. I was like OMG OMG IS IT HIM, but after a few more clicks around the helper, Tsuru’s name popped up. I GOT SO MAD AND SMITHED HARDER lmao XD

So Azuki comes home uttering this line in a low sexy voice (and yes, I like sweets) but I can’t take him seriously with a cutesy name like that:

Happy Mid-Autumn in the honmaru!

Started on Tuesday night, managed to finish today :) That first night, I thought “This event sounds so adorable!”

Two nights later I was like “omfg mercy please, everyone’s tired of being tired” lol. Yes this event is certainly more relaxing than the usual, but after a while it does get frustrating turning up empty. The rabbit is a cute thing though:

Since the tail-end of WTE 9, I’ve been grinding regularly to prepare 4 toudans for kiwame: Urashima, Hori, Gotou and Imano. They were in L40s so I’ve made some good progress, I think I’ll give them one more event before I send them off. Yagen was ready a long time ago but I still can’t get his awakening sprite, so he’s still hanging around.

I failed to bring Kenshin home, partly because I had to focus my resources on repairs for E-4 damages (and partly because RNG, duh). Guess the Kagemitsu bros don’t really like me. But boy am I glad I met my goal to reel this masochist in, I DON’T NEED TO DIE IN WORLD 7.

Kidding. I may be a kuso saniwa BUT I AM NOT THAT KUSO. Kikkou Hunter Squad was fully equipped with omamori, so I could make the horrible choice to push for boss with few worries. Frankly, it was quite exciting to test RNG’s cruelty, and RNG sure answered with a vengeance. After breaking and reviving these 2, I stopped my “research” lol.

Anyway, I haven’t yet recovered from the damage done by the futile attempts to bring Koryuu home. Starting resources for Kenshin:

30 times in and I already feel the pinch. I shall draw the line at letting my gold fall below 100k. Sigh. Come home Kenshin, before my fincon stabs me for ruining the honmaru finances.

More importantly, BONDAGE KING PLEASE COME HOME!

I haven’t entered world 7 yet and I just have very little desire to grind the normal maps. So Kikkou, I’ve bought a lot of your favourite ropes, please come home soon for a...um...a party? Technically speaking, none of the toudans are minors in their true age so I guess we can have a WILD party.

1. Bokuto. This panel is the shape of my soul for so many reasons and his arms are just one of them

YOUR PARTY CHIEF HAS ARRIVED

I never want to see Village of Treasures again for maybe 10 years. Not being able to play on Pocket was terrible, I could only do 7 or 8 runs per day on work days after I got home, and even so, that already screwed my sleep schedule big time. Then came no-life weekends of non-stop grinding.

Anyway. GOU IS HOME AND THE PARTY STARTS. Yes yes, my dear assistant, I’ll take care of you /retrieves from inbox and LOCKS

Gou has free reign to inspect everyone’s wardrobe. His first task is to get everyone ready for his own welcome party lol. I made him secretary and he sounds so funny!

Also, something else to celebrate - 2 toudans graduated into L99 Alumni Club from VOT 5:

Hotaru is Senpai no.7! Honestly I don’t know when exactly he reached L99, but my guess is on 22 Aug. He entered this VOT at L79 and was a monster from the get-go, maintaining SF (mostly 90 to 100%) through the entire event. I never moved him out of 6th spot and there he stayed, flourishing with barely any attention. He carried the squad like a champ. What a menace.

Hotaru might’ve entered my honmaru late but he sure climbed fast. Way to go, my little tank! 

Ishipapa claws his way into no.8 spot. By vintage and power, he should’ve been close behind the other 6 senpai but I kinda neglected his training. In this event, he struggled a lot and also pulled really bad cards that led to the squad’s early demise several times, PAPA WHY. Had to alternate between him and Tarou as they tried to stay afloat in the face of Hotaru’s overwhelming aggressiveness. Still, thanks for hanging in there and congrats on graduating yesterday :)

Katsugeki Touken Ranbu OP

For people who don’t know anything about japanese history like me.  I really know nothing so hopefully everything’s in check. 

This is Watatsumi Shrine. This is a shrine located in Kochi, which is Sakamoto Ryoma’s birthplace (Mutsunokami’s owner). Ryoma is seen has the hero of Kochi and is admired and respected by its people, which led to the construction of a bronze statue of Ryoma in 1928. It currently resides near the shrine. Also the maple tree’s leaves can mean “precious memories” in flower language! The leaves can turn red from October to December, and Ryoma died in December.

This is the battle of Aizu. A remnant of The Shinsengumi fought in this battle in favor of the Tokugawa government. Kane-san’s and Horikawa’s owner, Hijikata Toshizou, participated in this battle. Although in the end the faction he was part of lost.

This is from the battle of Hakodate, which takes place after the battle of Aizu. Here Hijikata joins the battle too and fought long and hard, but was killed in the end. Also Hijikata was killed by a gunshot wound, maybe the hole in the Shinsengumi flag was made by a bullet?

This is the Honnouji incident. This is where Yagen’s owner, Oda Nobunaga, died by committing suicide after being surrounded by the opponent’s troops. The fire consumed the Honnouji and Yagen vanished during it, supposedly lost to the fire. (he’s prolly watching over Oda as the fire consumes him too ;_;)

This is the Ootaki castle. Tonbokiri’s owner, Honda Tadakatsu, founded and partially ruled this castle. He died during fall, and you can see it’s fall during this scene. Also these leaves are from a Ginkgo tree, in flower language they can mean “repose of souls”.

This is the Shimotsuki incident, which took place in December. One of Tsurumaru’s owners was a young boy called Sadayasu from the Adachi clan. During the incident, the Adachi clan ended up being exterminated thanks to the Hojo clan, and Sadayasu was killed. Tsurumaru was buried together with Sadayasu, but then came in Hojo Sadatoki who wanted to own Tsurumaru, so he exhumed Sadayasu’s grave and took him away. (there’s some discrepancy between the real life events and game events about this just fyi)

This is from Sakamoto Ryoma’s assassination. When Ryoma was attacked he reached for his sword, Mutsunokami, and used it to block the opponent’s attack. In the process of doing this, the sword’s scabbard broke and the opponent’s blade reached him. In the end he lost the fight and died. 

So basically this OP is pretty sad.

Thanks! No I didn’t use anything special (except determination lol). It took quite a few tries each time to stop the glasses from popping off. Not a very user-friendly design (-_-;)
