Howdy. I was going to wait to answer this until I'd finished today's readings, but I don't want to look like I'm avoiding answering it so I'll tackle it now.

You're definitely right, for one thing I don't believe there ia ever such a thing as a bad card. A card can be a warning, but it's still good to know, yeah? For the other thing, I'm using Everyday Tarot deck. The meanings in the guidebook are different for every deck, and there's also my own impressions of the card. I personally find that having a multitude of things to deal with can be a struggle, and in the card I get the impression that the character is calling out for help. The waves behind him look turbulent and seem to toss the boats around, which I typically see as a warning of troubled waters ahead. Looking back, this is probably largely based on my experiences, and I'm pretty new to this. It's entirely possible that I was wrong in that case. I fully acknowledge that the card isn't a bad one and that it doesn't have to signify a struggle.

Howdy Folks

So, everyone currently left on "read" and waiting for their reading... It'll get done within the next twenty four hours. Pinky-promise.

The last two days have been a bit hectic, as I return to school on Monday... Which is actually the whole purpose of this post. Following Sunday at 22:00ish (central time), readings may either be significantly delayed or faster than normal. Most likely delayed, but I'll be doing readings throughout the day during breaks, so potentially faster. Don't get your hopes up, though. Anyways, you'll have a lot more luck with getting your reading done faster if you send in your request in the early morning. I do every request that I get (provided it follows the guidelines in my bio) but I've got a GPA to maintain and it may take a while.

Additionally, yes I know I post junk here on days where I don't do readings. That's because it's usually relevant or important (and this has far more followers than my main), and reblogging is a lot quicker than doing a reading.

What to ask tarot

So tarot card questions are actually a lot different than asking a specific question. You wouldn’t say, for example, “Is my dad going to graduate?” because if you got the 3 of cups, you would be utterly confused as to why I did not provide a yes or a no. So below I am going to list questions that are good to ask the cards.

Why Your Reading May Take A Long Time

Before someone asks, because I know it takes ages to get readings sometimes.

I answer message requests first, and then inbox requests in the order they appear. If you ask a follow-up, I'll get to it when I've finished everyone who asked before you.

I only do at most 10-15 readings a day (and that's rather iffy). Readings take energy and I don't want to screw up by doing one when I'm already exhausted.

Sometimes it just takes ages to figure out what the cards are telling me. Again, I don't want to screw up your reading.

Sometimes, I run out of time to do it that day. I do my readings at night, and I do have obligations that require me to be up early.

Speaking of obligations, those also mean I don't have limitless time. It's August, meaning in under a week my time is going to be further reduced by the start of the school year. Not only will I be in class most of the time, but I'll also have work to do at home... So please be patient.

I don't mean to say that you shouldn't send in requests, or that I don't have time for this. I do, and I answer everyone who follows my guidelines (usually within 1-3 days, but if it takes longer, now you know why!)

I'm doing these for the sake of getting better at them, and whilst I'm fairly confident in my readings, they might not be 100% accurate, and 2. Hello. To answer your question, I drew the Two Of Pentacles. This card indicates that you'll be busy, and may find it a struggle to balance everything. You'll probably have far too much responsibility and feel the urge to tackle everything at once. This card tells you not to do that. Breathe. Take a break if things get out of hand. Overworking yourself does no good, and juggling too much at once will end badly.

Howdy, Blythe. In answer to your question, I drew The Lovers (I also drew another card, for the sake of clarity, but I'll get to that in a moment)

The Lovers card isn't quite literal, but it does symbolize a union of two forces, which may be opposites. Perhaps there is friction between you and a partner, or perhaps this card is telling you that you need to learn to work together. This card does strongly imply there's an important message for you, and you may see it subtly popping up your life.

The second card I drew (reversed Three of Pentacles) suggests that you may be having difficulty with teamwork, and it may be negatively affecting you. This team, or partnership (be it a work thing, or a relationship) needs to learn how to communicate effectively and respectfully. This and The Lovers suggests that either now or in the near future, you'll find learning to work as one with your "team" (or partner) to be critical to your success.

Avoid starting with “should”, “will”, and “when”. Instead, ask “how”, “why”, and “what”. 

Yes or no questions are considered close ended questions and won’t lead to deeper insight. 

2. Get to the heart of the question!

“What’s my soulmate like?” is a close ended question. Instead, ask questions like “What signs might I see when my soulmate appears?” or “What might I do to attract the right partner for me?” 

3. Ask follow-up questions!

For example. Some good follow-up questions to “How can I live in alignment with my soul’s purpose?” might be:

What is coming into my conscious awareness about my soul’s purpose? 

How can I discover my soul’s purpose? 

What is my soul’s purpose? 

How am I presently living in alignment with my soul’s purpose? 

What inner work do I need to do to be in alignment with my soul’s purpose? 

What resources are available to me that will help me to live in alignment with my soul’s purpose? 

What will bring me closer to my soul’s purpose? 

What may stand in the way of me fulfilling my soul’s purpose and how can I overcome this?

4. Consider this!

Am I asking the right question of the Tarot? Is it open-ended and does it allow for deep exploration and insight? Does it get to the heart of the matter? And are there follow-up questions I could ask?

The first card I drew was the Two of Pentacles, reversed. Currently, you are juggling a lot, be it actual work that needs to be done or bothersome thoughts that won’t leave you alone (or a persistent plague of incessant ideas). You’re overwhelming yourself thinking about all of this and the best thing to do is take a breather. Clear your schedule and give yourself some time to work through all of your worry and questions at your own pace. Additionally, seek advice not just from strangers with tarot cards, but from people who know you and understand who you are.  You have time to figure this out and to process whatever answers you find (and if you don’t have that time, then try to make some)

The second card I drew was the Wheel of Fortune, reversed. You need to start taking charge of your life. Start making the changes that will get you where you want to go (and that is for you to figure out, I’m afraid). You either can affect life, or be effected by it.

Overall, you need to figure out what your goals are and then plan to achieve them. Don’t worry so much over all of it and take some time for yourself. It’ll pay off in the long haul.
