JUST A RECAP

In case anybody doesn’t know or has forgotten why I’m trying to promote my Etsy shop

This year, I was $60 behind on a repayment account to Social Security, and for that, the IRS kept our tax return of nearly $3000 and sent it to Social Security.

One of our cars is inoperational, and the other is a 32 year old Ram truck that gets 8 miles to a gallon of gas.  

With Wolf gone so much, and living 6 miles from the nearest town or shopping area (and over 20 miles from his work location), it’s imperative that I have a car we can actually afford to drive. My son in law has just rebuilt a Camry from the ground up that we were going to buy. The money we lost was mostly our car fund.

I’m not asking for handouts.  I have beautiful merchandice available.  So far I’ve reached nearly $1000 in sales but COGS, shipping supplies, merchant fees, and postage have eaten up almost half of it… so recouping that money is slow going, and I need a car.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just introduced a kid to her adoptive parents. They brought her a dozen roses. We met at a restaurant. I arrived early to get a private booth and told the waitstaff what was up. So all the servers were having a cry in the corner. I’m at a coffee shop a few miles away, giving them space and having my own cry.

I’ve been engaged for a year and I still have these guilty feelings.  He’s witnessing the worst flare I’ve had in years (Yay for overworking yourself) and he’s been a dream when it comes to taking care of me.   The other day I started crying because of how dependent I have been recently.  He told me that he loved me, illness and all. That while he hated seeing me in pain, he didn’t mind take care of me.

That’s not to say he can’t wait for me to feel better.

Why is it that as soon as I start to fall for a guy, I immediately feel like I’m giving him a life sentence to hospital visits and suffering and am overcome with guilt about it?

Gendered Bathrooms Survey

So my kid, who is cool as fuck, is writing a position paper for school on gendering bathrooms. But when they went to cite data for the paper, they discovered…

All the data about gendered bathrooms includes only binary trans folks.

For those of you who don’t understand what that means, it means that the only data being cited in all these arguments has to do with trans people who identify as FTM or MTF transgender, and leaves out a whole slew of people in the community: agender, gender queer, bigender, etc.

So my kid, being a smart cookie, said, “Hey, do you think if I ran my own survey, I could cite that in the paper?”

My kid: smarter than I am.

So they put together a survey. There is no personally identifying information being asked (I double-checked), so it’s anonymous, and the data will be used only for this paper, although they or I may post what they learn about how this bathroom BS affects trans people who don’t identify according to a binary gender definition.
