Judging by his expression alone, Katsu was still very unapproachable - or at least that’s the energy he was giving off, despite the blood on his face and oozing from a corner of his tiers.

Pays for what, Hiyori hadn’t told him. Maybe it was a parking fine. Maybe it was her mortgage. Who knows.

Excitement made the ravenette’s heart skip a beat. It wasn’t often that significant people bowed up to him, but when they did, he delighted in it more than he probably should. Black claws glinted with the easy flex of his digits, his pupils widening with intrigue. Heatwaves lifted from the skin of his hand and wrist, a blue flame flicking once, then twice, but that appeared to be all for now.

“I guess I’m down for a game...” he wasn’t talking to her, but rather, himself - or something inside him that was much, much more violently eager to come out, “if you want to join me, Mera.”

From behind the chimera, a black void began to manifest itself into view, drawn forth by the youth’s kinetic prowess and whatever unusual secrets he had hidden away. Within the abyss, though, massive jowls akin to some sort of canine-dragon hybrid spilled into view, splitting wide to display rows of stark white ivory fangs. Within the throat of the beast came a blue light, one that shot forth as a shockingly white-hot inferno intent on incinerating her before direct contact could even be established.

Frankly, he knew it wouldn’t be the end-all solution, but it might force her to move. That is what he wanted.

Yoruichi raises both brows, then reaches out - confiscating the drink while rolling both orbs at the query, “Idiot, it’s expired,” now thinking that perhaps she should have just let him drink it, “but if you want it, then have it, I guess.” Shaking the can at him.

“Nah, that’s okay,” he answered simply, unwilling to accept it back now that she had pointed out something he probably should have noticed. Frankly, though, he hadn’t been paying any attention to the beverage’s date. After all, most places took care of that because (I dunno) they were supposed to.

“Thanks, but I’m good.”
